Zoster vaccine line and pneumococcal 23 valent vaccine (Pneumovax 23) should not be given concurrently because concomitant use resulted in reduced immunogenicity of zoster vaccine.
Safety and effectiveness have not been established in pediatric patients (less than 18 years of age).

The vaccine should be administered immediately after reconstitution to minimize loss of potency. Discard reconstituted vaccine if it is not used within 30 minutes. Do not freeze reconstituted vaccine.
