Yohimbine Dosage

Applies to the following strengths: 5.4 mg; 5 mg

Usual Adult Dose for Erectile Dysfunction

5.4 mg orally 3 times a day. If side effects occur, reduce to 2.7 mg orally 3 times a day and titrate gradually up to 5.4 mg orally 3 times a day.

Yohimbine is contraindicated in renal disease.

Precautions

Yohimbine is contraindicated for use in patients with renal disease.

The manufacturer recommends against the use of yohimbine in geriatric patients, patients with a psychiatric diagnosis, or cardiorenal patients with a history of gastric or duodenal ulcer.

Safety and effectiveness have not been established in pediatric patients (less than 18 years of age).
