Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) "Went for a 2nd shot due to right hip osteoarthritis; shot lasted from late February to early July; experienced pain/swelling in the groin and hip; the second shot appears to have started to work immediately; very pleased."

Zilretta (triamcinolone) "Issue is osteoarthritis of the knee and a partially torn meniscus. Had GenVisc850 injections (5 over 5-weeks as required), but still had knee pain so doctor prescribed a Zilretta injection. Within 1 day, my knee pain became a lot worse, then for about 2-weeks the pain subsided some so I thought the Zilretta was finally working. The relief was short term and the pain increased to the point where it was difficult to put any weight on my leg. Now, 6-weeks after the Zilretta injection, I am scheduled for surgery."

Zilretta (triamcinolone) "The first 9 days was great, no pain but after that it has been getting worse to the point of being totally miserable. It has been over a week with bad pain in my inner knee area. No OTC meds, icing, or heating helps it."

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) "I am a 55 year old woman who took this Kenalog-40 injection for knee sprain due to osteoarthritis. No substantial pain relief . Had to use balm for pain relief. Not as effective as cortisone. Still waiting for complete pain recovery/cure."

"After Aristospan injections to both knees for a osteoarthritis flare up, I had almost complete pain relief for at least 6 months. Far better than other steroidal injections. 40 mgs/ knee. No discernable side effects."

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) "The second injection in the shoulder had completely different results. No shoulder pain but it increases intercostal muscle pain, back pain, abdomen pain, and leg spasticity from multiple sclerosis. The doctor was unaware of these documented potential side effects, and offered no help. Bad doctor, worse drug."

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) "I have Cerebral Palsy which includes the secondary condition of Osteoarthritis. Kenalog is the best steroid that I have tried; I get it in injection form - the injection does not affect your blood pressure so It is safe in my case since I have Hypertension. It is a shame that I can only receive the shots 2x/yr. If there were an option to have them once a month without a chance of joint destruction I would opt to get them without a second thought!"

Zilretta (triamcinolone) "I have bilateral knee pain and I got bilateral zilretta injection. I really wish I hadn't. There was no pain in left knee one week and right knee three weeks. Pain came back in spades couldn't bear down on left knee and then it cleared up. Next right knee excruciating pain cant bear down or walk. I went to emergency room. Pain pills helped for a little while. I was sent to pain management. Nothing is helping. I'm in pain as I text even when taking Oxycodone."

Zilretta (triamcinolone) "I'm 79, I have arthritis under both patellas. Zilretta is a great product. Both knees have been treated 4 times. Treatments lasted only 2 months. (I tried exercise and no exercise.) I was asked if I wanted to try Hymovis or Eflexa. I checked the product reviews and I'll stay with Zilretta. I have no stiffness, swelling or other complications."

Zilretta (triamcinolone) "I have been suffering from severe ITB pain following a hip revision 6 months ago. My Doctor ordered an MRI which revealed mild arthritis and a partial meniscus tear in my knee on the same leg. I had no knee pain whatsoever, only it band. He suggested Zilretta. My ITB is so irritated I can barely walk. It's also affected my back, hamstrings and tendons. It's been 6 weeks of misery on top of what was already bad. Big mistake."

Zilretta (triamcinolone) "Zilretta has been like a "magic elixir" for my knees. Since I had the original injections in both knees in March, 2021, they have been virtually pain free from any arthritis. I've been able to do things (like squat) that I haven't been able to do for years. I couldn't have a higher recommendation for the treatment in spite of its cost."

Zilretta (triamcinolone) "On my 4th go-round with Zilretta in 1.5 years. First year lasted nearly 5 months, not the last time. Only 3 months at best. This is the first time the pain has not totally gone away a few days after the injection. Still feel a pinch on the inside of the knee when getting up. While it was an 8 the last few times, I now think it’s only a 5-6 positive. In the past could dance and take low impact a week later. Not this time. It may be a medication that loses effectiveness after multiple shots."

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) "If this steroid didn’t exist, I’d be completely messed up. My basal joint is swollen and feels like ground glass until I get my next shot... after that, it’s calm and I can grip again. Don't even get me started on what it does for trochanteric bursitis and facet joints. If it wasn't for Kenalog... I'd have no purpose and no use for this world."

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) "My doctor injected my knee with Kenalog-40, OMG! It worked amazingly, literally no pain in my knee for two months. However, on day nine, I developed an allergic eczema rash on my belly (lower and upper), both legs (mid-thigh and lower), front and back. It's very itchy. I had the injection on 8/23/23, and as of today (11/15/23), it's still there. Nothing else has changed in my life - food, meds, etc. My eosinophil count has increased two months in a row, so my body is definitely still fighting it. I've had other joint injections with no reaction at all."

Zilretta (triamcinolone) "I have been having knee pain for a long time and had Cortisone injections several times. The injection helped for a while, but the pain would return. This time the pain was intense and it was too soon for another Cortisone injection. My Rheumatologist suggested Zilretta. I had the injection last Thursday after fluid removal. Today is Tuesday. I have been pain free, able to walk and bend my knee since Tuesday! We will see how it goes, but for now, I am very happy he recommended Zilretta."

Zilretta (triamcinolone) "My doctor gave me Zilretta almost 7-8 months ago. I have osteoarthritis, my left knee is almost bone-on-bone. My doctor and Zilretta saved me from hell on earth. I thought that this medication must be a quick fix, no side effects, no icing the knee every 4 hours a day. But Zilretta is a force to be reckoned with; once injected in the knee, it goes where it's supposed to be. That's the power of Zilretta. God bless the mind and hands that created this miracle drug for people like me. I just got my second injection as I told you 7 or 8 months ago, and I am feeling relief. Since 11 am, it is now 6:15 pm, and I could walk at least 3 blocks. Zilretta is fast and to the point, no fuss, no muss, and I am a great-grandma; my great-granddaughter is in her first year of high school. She called me about an hour ago, asking how does your knee and you feel? Like a champ, she stated Zilretta again."

"I received an injection into my finger knuckle the first time I experienced debilitating osteoarthritis. Within 24 hours the swelling was almost completely reduced and my use of hands was back to normal for about 6 months. I am hoping a second treatment will be just as helpful. Also, I am finding the same problems in my other hand now. "

Zilretta (triamcinolone) "I have been getting steroid injections in both knees since 2010. My doctor discussed trying this drug due to my Diabetes because it is suppose to not raise blood sugar numbers after the injections like other steroids do. But, leave it to me to be different I received my injections last Thursday and my blood sugar numbers have been on the up side of 300 since last Friday. So, I guess this medication is a no for me."
