Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) "Absolutely worthless, and borderline dangerous. It’s been 3 weeks, still have ringing in my ears, my vision is blurry, and can’t seem to get through anything without being nauseous now and in constant pain. I spent almost 16 hours throwing up nothing with broken ribs, now Im worse than before. The doctor told me that it only lasts 3-4 days after I got sick from it. But when they gave it to me they said 3 weeks, and take with 800 mg ibuprofen. Constant burning in my stomach, ears ringing, headaches so bad I can’t seem to completely get rid of them, can’t get a deep breath and now coughing. I guess the doctors pat themselves on the back for not prescribing pain medication, even when it’s needed. I should have known when he just sort of guessed at my xrays that I shouldn’t expect any help or relief. I wouldn't give this poison to anyone, and anyone who would doesn't care."

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) for Inflammatory Conditions "I am normally a healthy individual. I received the shot in July for a severe ear infection and am still having negative effects to this day in October. I had a single shot, I have suffered bloating, dissension of my abdomen, still suffering hypertension. It cleared the infection. How long does this stay in the tissue? When should I expect this to end, if ever!"

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) for Psoriasis "My Dermatologist give me tiny injections under the skin on each plaque. My hands can get really bad. Usually by the next day or two they are gone. It lasts quite awhile. I also get injections of Kenalog plus numbing agent for severe muscle spasms from Fibromyalgia. The Pain Management doctor injects the muscles where the spasms are. By the next day I'm 90% better. Usually I only have to get these a few times a year. So Kenelog works really well for me."

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) for Lichen Planus "I had two shots of kenalog 40, 1 month apart. The lichen planus went away but the side effects of the medication were horrible. Made me feel ill, achey, tired, gastritis, cystitis gave me irregular menstrual periods (every 2 weeks) and a huge dent on my butt cheek where administered. 5 months later, I still have some of the effects."

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) for Allergic Rhinitis "I lost my sense of smell several years ago due to chronic sinusitis. In March 2017, I had a shot of Kenalog in my right hip, resulting in the restoration of my sense of smell. It was wonderful, but short-lived. The shot lasted 3 months, and my ENT will only give it once a year due to the chance of necrosis. I had my 2nd shot in mid April (almost 2 weeks ago) and unfortunately, my sense of smell did not return. Hoping that it will come back again."

Kenalog-10 (triamcinolone) for Alopecia "I noticed a small bald spot on my head in late March of this year, within a month there were 3 more, and by May I was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata. I was prescribed Clobetasol and Monoxidil topicals—which I used religiously twice a day for 6 weeks with no progress. Began Kenalog 10 injections in July, every 2 weeks, and by the third session I have regrowth!! No side effects, really minimally uncomfortable and definitely worth it to see those bare areas filling in!! I’ve now completed 4 sessions and the Doctor is quite pleased and we’re going to once a month going forward. Fingers crossed! "

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) for Osteoarthritis "Works great for my arthritis pain BUT the side effects are not worth it. I've been getting injections for years for arthritis in various body parts. EVERY time I get the injection I don't have a period for 3 months and then BAM, I get hit with a period that is extremely heavy and lasts for 3 weeks. Also, I was not informed that this injection could make the skin at the injection site very thin after getting multiple shots. I covered a scratch in one such spot with a bandaid, when I removed it all of the skin under the bandaid came off with it. Huge scar, very painful, skin is still somewhat thin in that spot even years after stopping the injection."

Zilretta (triamcinolone) for Osteoarthritis "I had an injection of Zilretta 3 years ago for arthritis in my right knee and so far I still am not experiencing pain. They tried cortisone and it didn’t work. I don’t know if three months is an estimate on how long it works but I’m going on 4 years and so far I am pain free."

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) for Dermatitis "My quality of life before my Dermatologist gave me this drug was HORRIBLE! I was teased as a child, skin was so ugly, and I was told that I looked like the exorcist and elephant man combined. I went through 15 years of, supposedly, the best doctors on the East coast until this wonderful man of a Dermatologist introduced me to the Wonder drug! Kenalog has made me extremely happy with the results I've seen!"

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) for Psoriasis "My menstruation is totally out of control while on Kenalog injections (for psoriasis). It’s heavy as last 7-10 days vs 4-5 light days when I’m not on Kenalog. I was on it for a 6 mo period having injections every 4 weeks. Til I couldn’t take the heavy cycle and my hemoglobin dropped to 7. Last month I got back on the Kenalog because of the psoriasis was so bad and inflamed. Now the second set of injections this month my cycle is heavy already. Not sure what to do I’m very disappointed."

Zilretta (triamcinolone) for Osteoarthritis "Got first zilretta yesterday. No pain relief yesterday. Woke up today with almost no pain. So far best pain relief ever. My pain usually 4-7 Scale but today maybe 1 after doing errands and walking 3 stores. Praying it works for a few months."

Zilretta (triamcinolone) for Osteoarthritis "Second injection relieved knee pain but not as good as first. The good results were less pain, more flexibility, and less swelling. The noticed side effects after the second shot were like an allergic reaction with moderate congestion, slight cough. My reaction immediately after receiving the injection was more noticeable than the first with flu like feelings for a few days. All in all the pain relief has been good but I am not sure about a third injection. It may be time to fix the problem rather than treat the symptoms."

Zilretta (triamcinolone) for Osteoarthritis "Zilretta was a total disaster, I haven’t walked for a month. Felt sick within an hour after receiving Zilretta. I only hope this lasts the length Of the drug and doesn’t permanently damage my knees. THIS WAS NO MIRACLE. I’m a thousand times worse than I was."

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) for Gouty Arthritis "This is the worst treatment I have ever received. I have had mild hypertension over the years and actually had high pressure the day I received the shot for gout. The gout pain went away within hours, however 2 days after I had an anxiety attack (which I thought was a heart attack) and ended up in the ER. I have had anxiety attacks at night, sleeplessness, heart palpitations, irregular heartbeat, fatigue and dizziness. After about 3 1/2 weeks the side effects have started to go away. Of I could give this a 0 review I would. I do not recommend."

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) for Dermatitis "I would never recommend kenalog. Went to doctor with chemical burns and doctor gave me extended release kenalog injection after prednisone . I broke out in hives and welts. l had horrible, intensely frightening thoughts, anxiety and depression for 18 months. Every d ay was a nighmare."

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) for Keloids "It worked for me for the moment. I got injected for over a year and the keloids got red and came back bigger. I got a big one on my chest and 3 on my back. And now when I get a pimple or a small scratch they turned to keloids after years later with no injections . I guess since it's in my body the scars turned red and now getting bigger and these 2 new ones were ,Never injected. It sucks I'm 36 and they don't stop growing."

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) for Lupus "Best drug ever! I only wish it lasted longer. I get 80 mg every 3 months in alternating butt cheeks. Takes about 24 hours the wow I'm suddenly able to move again. Not total pain loss of course but much much better. No side affects. I have severe joint pain all over so this is a miracle drug for me! At about 2 1/2 months pain starts to creep back in. I wish I could get it monthly but Dr says it really should be every 4 months but is willing to give it to me every 3 months. I highly recommend!"

Zilretta (triamcinolone) for Osteoarthritis "Don’t bother with Zilretta. I have been getting conventional cortisone knee injections for several years - tried Zilretta in an attempt to reduce frequency of injections. Three weeks out and minimal relief compared to conventional cortisone. Now I have to wait several months before I can get regular cortisone again."

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) for Asthma "I had hay fever with extreme itchy eyes while in New Zealand. The doctor gave me a 40mg shot of Kenacort. Within a couple of days, my symptoms cleared, and for 2 years, I was allergy free of any hay fever or asthma.(that included both in US and NZ through their spring seasons). I repeated another injection which lasted close to 2 years. I will be asking my doctor in the US to give me an injection this coming spring. It sure beats nose sprays, inhalers, eye drops, and getting a bloody nose from steroid nose sprays. I had no side effects from the injection either time, accept feeling quite good the first 24 hours. And even better when all my symptoms went away."

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) for Rheumatoid Arthritis "I get a intramuscular injection of Kenalog 40 in my right shoulder to relieve psoriatic arthritis . The medication works within 2-4 days. It reduces pain from 8/10 to 3/10, The medication seems to be distributed by my blood stream. The rest of my entire body feel the results of the medication also."

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) for Bursitis "I have Crow's feet tendonitis and this med was bad. It didn’t help with my condition at all. I suddenly have hot flashes, insomnia, heart palpitations, chest pain, and dizziness. I also had hallucinations that I had fleas and scratching myself in the days after. It has affected my vision and speech."

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) for Rheumatoid Arthritis "I'm a 24 year old female and have had RA since I was 8 years old. I had 80mg IM injection in December and within 24 hours my face was red and burning. 5 months later I am still suffering the horrible side effects of this. I constantly have hot flushes, nausea, irregular menstrual cycles, unwanted hair growth. I have no idea if and when these symptoms will subside and completely regret taking it. With regards to my joint information it has eased the pain but I still have residual swelling. My fatigue has also worsened since the injection."

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) for Lupus "Wonderful. Lupus flare. My joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons were hurting tired, achy, and so on. Doctor gave me a Kenalog shot in my hip. Within 24 hours, a bit better. Within 4 days, so much better. Reduced inflammatory issues and pain. Even my sciatica pain was greatly reduced. Much better and easier than increasing my maintenance Prednisone by mouth and then having to take weeks to cut down 1/2 mg a week... takes forever. Great idea to use the Kenalog shot to break the flare.!!!"

Kenalog-10 (triamcinolone) for Osteoarthritis "Had injection to right thumb on 3/1/17 for stiffness. As an adverse reaction, I've already lost 75% of my hair! If it ever stops falling, it will take years to restore! This medication is poison and should be taken off the market. i Contacted Bristol- Meyers Squibb and they have no comment to offer regarding my complaint. I am looking for an attorney!"
