For Psoriasis "It was amazing. I've had a large, full body, break out of psoriasis for about month now. This was due to the fact that 4 previous physicians could not figure out what it was. I went to a dermatologist, he gave me triamcinolone and it made my skin look so much better in a matter of days."

Zilretta (triamcinolone) for Osteoarthritis "I had a shot of this medication in my knee and I have had severe leg cramps and we I asked the doctor about how long the side effects were going to last he said 3 to 4 days. At this point I can hardly walk.. I definitely would not recommend this drug. Additionally I believe Cortizone is better in this stuff. Good night cramps are unbearable I drink a lot of water to stay hydrated."

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) for Bursitis "So far it's only been 3 days and I have relief from deep pain in my hips. The injections were on both sides of my SI joint. I did experience flushing yesterday and some insomnia, which isn't uncommon for me. I take Mag. at night, which helps me sleep along with progesterone I take for HRT. I'm new to this and am not crazy about steroids. Weight gain for me is not a plus, and I already retain water. The trade-off is no pain at present, which is a relief. I don't know how long it will last, but for now I'm thankful."

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) for Lupus "I have used Kenalog for my lupus. It has helped tremendously without all the side effects. My flares are less frequent and pain is minimal. I can function again. My only problem was I was getting them in my arms and it caused a loss of muscle. I switched injection sites between my butt and arms, so I'm not getting them in the same location all the time."

Kenalog-10 (triamcinolone) for Dermatological Disorders "Epidermal cyst: I thought it was a pimple near the side of chin. I attempted bursting it but it only got bigger. The problem had been there a while, I tried ignoring it! My dermatologist said it was a cyst (epidermal). She gave me the steroid injection and told me that in 2-3days I should have results but allow 6 weeks for full results) I just received the shot this morning and I already see positive results."

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) for Rheumatoid Arthritis "I had a shoulder injection for chronic pain the next day I went into horrible AFib which lasted 10 days, 2 days after the injection I developed severe headaches with pain behind my left eye then I got so fatigued and could not do anything. I'm still feeling bad 11 days after the injection. My Dr. said these are all side effects of Kenalog I would have refused the injection if I had known of these side effects. I have had other injections for lower back etc and never had this reaction."

Zilretta (triamcinolone) for Osteoarthritis "First shot worked great. Second shot I had severe pain and a burning sensation on the side of my knee that faces the other knee. This pain lasted 4 days and about drove me out of my mind. I kept thinking he injected into a nerve or something that shouldn't have been stabbed. It was horribly painful & I'm really good at handling pain but I was ready to have this leg amputated on day 3. Finally on day 5 it let up. Injection spot stayed red and swollen for two weeks. Now the shot is helping. I'm scheduled to get a third injection in December. If it reacts like the second one I'll know I'm allergic. However seems weird I had no reaction to the first shot then 7 months later the second shot nearly drove me insane. Made my whole body hurt. Especially my back. Never could get my doctor's office back on the phone. Now 3 weeks later and calling twice a week and leaving messages they don't return phone calls."

Zilretta (triamcinolone) for Osteoarthritis "I have partial replacements in both knees and they are both bad again. I got the Zilretta shot a week ago and had great pain relief at first but on day 7 started increasing pain. Not sure if this is gonna work. Trying to buy time before total replacements."

Zilretta (triamcinolone) for Osteoarthritis "Received drug Zilretta about 15 days ago. It was FABULOUS these last 12 days! Climbed steps, played with 8 yr old grandson in yard, just generally moved beautifully! Gradually, the pain has returned. Don’t know why, don’t know if I did something wrong, but those first 12-14 days were awesome ! Glad it helps others"

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) for Sarcoidosis "For the last three years I have had lower back pain that went down into both right and left buttocks and into my right hip. I was finally referred to radiology dept. and they gave me an injection into both SI joints. After three days the constant pain and spasms went away that were in my lower back and that went down into buttocks and into hip. It was absolutely wonderful to be able to sleep, walk without limping and hurting and my attitude and energy level became more positive. To be rid of the constant chronic pain that never went away, day and night, was a blessing! The injection has lasted 1 1/2 months and now I am starting to hurt again. I would recommend an injection for pain."

Zilretta (triamcinolone) for Osteoarthritis "I fell at work more than 2 years ago, broke my patella, after 3 surgeries and the last one seemed to have worked well, my pain level was down to a 2-3. My doctor suggested getting this injection to get me lasting pain relief going forward, I wish now I hadn't. My pain level increased to at least to a 5 within in a week, sometimes it hurts as much as a 6-7. I have pain where I didn't have pain before, Calling my doctor this week. My surgery was at the end of April, the injection was done at 4 weeks. I am now 3 weeks past injection date and it is only worsened my knee pain. I am so over this knee pain."

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) for Inflammatory Conditions "I've been getting injections in my bilateral SI's (low back) due to nerve pain from herniated discs in my lower back. For at least 3 years, every 6 weeks. They have been tremendously helpful, or so I thought. I'm currently having to treat with a specialist (endocrinologist) for focus on my extremely low cortisol and ACTH levels. I had no idea that this was even a possibility. Not sure how to even move forward at this point. I have no idea what other options I have. Very scared."

Zilretta (triamcinolone) for Osteoarthritis "I suddenly developed horrible knee pain in my left knee (Arthritis and meniscus pain). It became so bad that I was told surgery was probably the answer. I couldn't take the time due to my husband going in for major heart surgery. The doctor gave me this injection and said it should last 6 months to maybe a year. It has been over THREE YEARS and my left knee is still pain free!! I have another doctor and they have been trying to treat my right knee for over a year. The shots they have been trying are not working. I THOUGHT they were the same shot as this one but I found out it isn't. Hopefully, now I can get the same relief as I got with my left knee. I haven't slept a full night for nearly 9 months due to pain in the night. I don't understand why this new doctor didn't try it. Miss my old doctor!!"

For Lichen Sclerosus "Per my doctor's prescription, I have used triamcinolone acetonide cream USP 0.025%, sparingly, as needed, to treat my vulvar lichen sclerosus successfully for 17 years. Over time I learned that I can only use the Fougera brand of this product, as multiple other similarly identified products seem to cause an allergic reaction, creating the appearance that the cream is not relieving the itching and pain symptoms. (It's a good thing that the Fougera brand was the original one provided to me by the pharmacy!)"

Zilretta (triamcinolone) for Osteoarthritis "I have bone on bone and bone spurs and it did not work for me yet it’s been 10 days and it’s really swollen and now there’s crunching. It was very painful afterwards and it didn’t hurt at all getting it but now awful pain and a horrendous runny nose. I am definitely regretting getting it."

Zilretta (triamcinolone) for Osteoarthritis "My right knee is almost bone on bone. My left knee isn't as bad but still hurts. I have tried cortisone and gel injections. Neither worked for me. My doctor suggested I try Zilretta. I had an injection in both knees 5 days ago. I am having really bad headaches, and my kneecaps are very painful. I am also experiencing fatigue. It's hard to believe all this would be from the Zilretta, but I can't attribute my symptoms to anything else. I don't think I will be getting any more of these injections. My doctor says I'm too young for knee replacements, but I'm in so much pain."

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) for Psoriasis "Kenalog has changed my life. I have hand psoriasis and for years tried every topical prescription steroid and treatment out there, to no avail. The very first time I had a few Kenalog injections in my hand, the skin cracks healed, the plaques thinned and my hands were normal again. Miraculous. In addition I had severe hip bursitis and kenalog allowed me to continue walking up and down the 15 stairs in my home without issue. After a few months it needs to be reinjected but I t’s an absolute life changer for me."

Zilretta (triamcinolone) for Osteoarthritis "PLEASE, PLEASE do some research before getting this injection. I just had today, 7/28/21 and it was a nightmare. It was a really painful injection, then when I got off the exam table I could barely walk. I told the nurse that I couldn't walk to my car and she said to sit in the waiting area for a few minutes. Within 2 to 3 minutes I started feeling really ill so I called them for help. I broke out in a dripping sweat, hyperventilate, vomited a lot and had diarrhea all over myself. They said they didn't think it was an allergic reaction but suggested that I might want to go to ER and get checked out. I did not want to go the the ER due to the COVID numbers being up and I would sit there for hours. It's been several hours now and I still feel dizzy and queasy. I will call 911 if I have to. This is the last Zilretta injection that I will ever take. I am taking Augmentin, but had not had one this morning. I told them this before the injection."

Zilretta (triamcinolone) for Osteoarthritis "Pain relief was substantial following an injection in each knee in July 2022 and last approximately 4 weeks. Unfortunately, I had very noticeable mood side effects - which has occurred previously when taking steroids. Pain returned and 2 months post injections my knee pain is significantly worse than before, as well as more clicking/popping in knees. I can barely ascend/descend stairs much of the time. Did not work and was a huge mistake for me."

Zilretta (triamcinolone) for Osteoarthritis "I have suffered for 4 yrs with OA and the last year was awful, I have tried everything and eventually all the doctors told me was lose weight and I was not going to do it by exercise. I needed a knee replacement and was too young. In March I finally found a wonderful Dr who listens and came up with a plan. I had the Zillreta injections in both knees on the 29th of March and it has changed my life, I can actually do things, and not be in excruciating pain. 10 weeks in and I'm getting minimal pain back so I'm hopeful that when I need another injection it continues to work. I will forever be grateful to my Dr for introducing this to me."

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) for Inflammatory Conditions "Years ago I fell and broke my hand and have a tear in my rotator cuff. My hand healed fine, but for years I have pain in my shoulder. My physical therapist helped me gain my motion back. The shoulder is still painful so at least twice a year I need to get Kenalog-40 injections for pain. Thank God the only side effect I have is, around 4 days after my face gets red and hot for 2 days. I have a sensitive stomach and unable to take Aleve, Aspirin etc. so between physical therapy and this injection my life is back."

Kenalog-40 (triamcinolone) for Iritis "Chronic uveitis/iritis. Several drops and pills and injections later, the one thing that shows marked decrease between flares for me is this stupid kenalog injection. I would rather do anything that get injections in my eye! They're miserable for a few days afterwards. Not great for active mom of toddler. Want to burry my head in silence, darkness for three days. HOWEVER, I have basically been in a two year long flare, this injection has given me quieter days with my fickle illness. Saved my sight. Lasts about 3 months during rough goes and 8 months during good times. So they say."
