Salonpas Pain Patch (methyl salicylate) for Osteoarthritis "I have been using these pain patches for several years and they were always very effective. However, since the new patches came out I have not been happy with them. They are still very effective in relieving pain but they will not stick as in the past. They very easily fall off. This was never a problem with the other patches."

Absorbine Jr. (methyl salicylate) for Rheumatoid Arthritis "I used Absorbine Jr cream for arthritis pain relief because I am a motorcyclist that loves to ride. I love riding more than anything and I want to continue to ride until I'm 60. But when my arthritis acts up, my joints hurt and stiffen and it makes it very painful to ride. I couple times I had to pull over and have someone pick me up because I could barely drive start on the bike. Absorbine Jr gives me arthritis pain relief quick and allows me to get home without having to call someone to pick me up. While this is not a permanent solution and I will have to give up riding eventually, this product gives me more time to really enjoy what I lover to do. I will use Absorbine Jr until I can't ride anymore and it gives me a lot of joy too."

Salonpas Pain Patch (methyl salicylate) for Muscle Pain "Works very well, although the odor is quite noticeable. The patches don't stick very well (especially if you're active), but medical tape will generally keep the patches attached. I've found that they stick much better if you shave the area prior to application, although I'd personally wait a day between shaving and using these patches (unless you want the world's worst case of razor burn). Medication: 9/10 Patch: 3/10, needs to be redesigned"

Salonpas Pain Patch (methyl salicylate) for Muscle Pain "I ordered Salonpas patches through Amazon but didn't expect them to work as they were so inexpensive. I am completely amazed at how well they work for my shoulder and neck pain. They stick very well to the point that it hurts a bit taking them off. I will definitely buy more."

Salonpas Pain Patch (methyl salicylate) for Rheumatoid Arthritis "I’ve used these patches successfully for various conditions over the years. Contrary to some reviews, I’ve found that they stick very well on skin. They need to be applied flat. They might not adhere as well on skin that is oily, or that has folds. Make sure skin is dry and oil free. They stick better, are less expensive, and offer more relief than the major competitor’s brand of larger patches, hands down."

Salonpas Pain Patch (methyl salicylate) for Muscle Pain "Have had a strained hip rotator muscle for several weeks now and due to my active job being often on my feet, it's been slow to improve and after several hours and days of work quite painful to make common motions with that leg. Today at the start of my shift, I applied a small patch to the top of my thigh/hip where I experience the most intense pain, and it held in place for the whole eight hours beneath my jeans, though it had a few wrinkles by the end of the night due to my constant movement. My usual pain was much improved over this time, though not entirely absent, but I was able to do my tasks much more easily. After arriving home, I removed the patch and washed off some of the remaining stickiness with warm water and soap, and resting the leg/hip now my pain levels are much lower than they usually are after a day's work. (A 1/10 rather than a 7/10.) I can do gentle flexibility stretches with only mild twinges of discomfort."

Salonpas Pain Patch (methyl salicylate) for Muscle Pain "They don't even have the type of patch I used listed but I used a capsium patch and it not only did not work, felt no heat...but I got a chemical burn. Salonpas is based in Japan..they only use a company here called Noven to distribute their japanese product. They did not want to admit their product did any wrong. I had pictures to prove this. Finally had a attorney contact me and am trying to resolve my claim. Watch out for salonpas products. They really don't care what the product does to you."

Salonpas Pain Patch (methyl salicylate) for Osteoarthritis "I suffer from osteoarthritis and fell hurting my ribs, I'm on strong pain meds but it still hurt like crazy when I moved or coughed, I tried the Salon pain patch over the area not expecting it to work and the pain reduced so much. I'm not a fan of patches but can honestly say I'm totally impressed."

Salonpas Pain Patch (methyl salicylate) for Muscle Pain "Got my free sample of salonpas pain patch the same day I worked 8 straight hours. I work in a Vets office in the kennel and most days we do 20 to 30 dog baths a day. I was exhausted and sore and I just knew I would be sore and unable to move the next day, but I applied solonpas pain patch before bed and woke up ready to face another day. I would recommend this to everyone and I will be purchasing more. Thank you for the free sample, it really works!"

Salonpas Pain Patch (methyl salicylate) for Muscle Pain "Thanksgiving morning I tripped going into a house and bruised my back. Day later went to hospital and they recommended Salonpas Patches. Bought them and put them on my back. Within a 1/2 hour, I started feeling nauseous and my back started burning. My lips started swelling up and I checked my heart rate on my watch and it was 105 at resting. My tongue started to feel funny and I had a bad taste in my mouth. I yelled for my husband to rip them off right away and took liquid Benadryl right away. EpiPen was on stand-by. The only anaphylactic shock reaction I have is to Iodine, and none of the ingredients in this say anything about Iodide. Not sure what caused the reaction. I’m just glad somebody was home with me."

Salonpas Pain Patch (methyl salicylate) for Muscle Pain "I used to purchase Salon Pas patches years ago and I never had an issue. I just recently bought 2 packs of 20 and I later started to notice that my elbow was itching and becoming more and more crusty. I removed the bandages and now my skin looks like its white with a rash. Whats going on with this product that used to be so good and a product that I could trust. Did you change manufacturers?"

Salonpas Pain Patch (methyl salicylate) "The medication is GREAT but the new design, shape, and adhesive, are horrible. They don't STICK at all. They roll off after a few minutes and god forbid your shirt touch it. They used to have 2 patches to one plastic slide now it's 1. The adhesive doesn't stick so useless and the rounded corners aren't helpful they catch on your clothes. They bring back the original."

Salonpas Pain Patch (methyl salicylate) for Rheumatoid Arthritis "New adhesive in Salonpas doesn’t stick well, so I found generic patches at the Dollar Tree -20 patches in a pack for $1.00, they use the old type adhesive that sticks until you remove it and works great! Really helped my arthritic knees and ankle."

Salonpas Pain Patch (methyl salicylate) for Muscle Pain "As these patches with Lidocaine REFUSE TO STICK TO THE SKIN, they are a waste of money. They simply curl up after a short period of time thus making them useless. Bought two boxes from Costco; one is being returned for the above reason."

Salonpas Pain Patch (methyl salicylate) for Osteoarthritis "I have used salonpas forever and have always been satisfied with it. Now I noticed that you are using a different type of material and I don't feel it works as good. I normally put them on at night on neck and the new ones come off before morning. Old ones stayed on all night. Why did you make a change when what you had was just fine?"

Salonpas Pain Patch (methyl salicylate) for Osteoarthritis "The old Salonpas were so much better. I would have rated them a ten. Of course, the company had to put only one salon pas per use instead of two to use and they are not as strong and they wrinkle up. They should have just left the products alone, it was great before. I think I’ll switch to something else"

Salonpas Pain Patch (methyl salicylate) for Muscle Pain "I too have used these patches for year, the white ones. They would stay on for hours and hours. Now the new beige thin ones won't stay on at all. Used one on my wrist, fell off after 45 min of constant pushing it down in place. Use a new one after that....lasted less than 30 min. They have lost a good customer with this "on the cheap" adhesive."

Salonpas Pain Patch (methyl salicylate) for Osteoarthritis "I used the patch and because I thought it was helping reduce the pain of my tendonitis of my wrists, I continued using it. The pain of neither wrist got worse and my palm hurt and also the fingers. A week ago after using Salonpas pain patch for over three months, my wrists have swollen and the pain is excruciating. I went back too my doctor but because he was not aware that I had used the patch for a long time, he thought the swelling of the wrists were due to rheumatoid arthritis. The swelling is going down gradually. I would like to add here that I am allergic to aspirin and ibuprofen. I read the label only yesterday!"

The swelling was so bad I could not bend my knee it took one month to get rid of the side effects, consult your Dr. This over the counter cream is dangerous."
