For Bowel Preparation "As a Pharmacist and now a patient, I was frightened by all of the negative reviews. One gastro Doc recommended to me to take the pills every 3 minutes instead of the instructed 1-2 minutes. Had absolutely no nausea or vomiting. Worked in about an hour. And it really worked. All in all very easy compared to mag citrate. Would definitely use again."

For Bowel Preparation "Absolutely did NOT work. I carefully followed all prep instructions but bowels never moved until two hours before procedure was scheduled, so I had to cancel. I eat a normal diet, switched to soft foods 48 hours before, liquids 24 hours before, and drank recommended amount of fluids. Won't ever try this again, nor will I go to a practice that recommends Sutab."

For Bowel Preparation "First time doing a cleanse for my colonoscopy. I was offered several options to cleanse but chose the Sutab based on the fact that I had gastric bypass and have a hard time with large amounts of liquid that would need to be drank for the other options. Started on a low fiber diet about 5 days before. Had to do a two day cleanse due to chronic constipation (hence the need for the colonoscopy). Used magnesium citrate liquid x2 before taking the Sutab along with a clear liquid diet. Took as directed with the appropriate amount of water (maybe a little more). The pills are big but are odorless and tasteless, I had no problem taking them and took them all within 5 minutes. I had no side effects from the pills and they started working within an hour. After I took the pills I started reading reviews and was shocked and then panicked but everything was fine. Worked as promised. I’d do it again if I need to. The magnesium citrate liquid was way worse than the pills, for me anyway."

For Bowel Preparation "My third colonoscopy so pills and drinking water sounded like a good idea. Followed instructions of low residue foods and liquid diet on prep day. First dose 6 pm with 16 oz of water. Unfortunately, I had violent vomiting. Once that stopped I drank the second 16 oz of water and the cleansing started. Had to stay in the bathroom for several hours. The second dose was taken at midnight. In hindsight, I should have not done the second dose, but the scope was scheduled for 6:30 am. With no way to call anyone to cancel. Definitely a nightmare of vomiting and diarrhea. The biggest problem now is my stomach is so sensitive to food I'm on a low fodmap diet. Never had a problem eating anything before the prep. Love spicy foods. A 24-hour phone number to a medical professional would have been very helpful. I could have called and asked questions and canceled the procedure. My husband took the same prep before me and didn't have any problems. Me, everything was severe from vomiting to diarrhea and the second dose was worse."

For Bowel Preparation "As with others who had negative experiences, I also had nausea and vomiting (after the 2nd round). The pills are huge, and swallowing 12 at a time within 20 minutes was torture. My esophagus was irritated, and the pills sat in my stomach like a lump for hours. I could not get comfortable after the first round. The effect was minimal. I didn’t clean out well and had to reschedule. I will go back to the liquid prep, which is also not fun, but at least it makes it to the intestines quickly."

For Bowel Preparation "This was my 3rd colonoscopy but my first time using Sutab. It did not work for me at all. I got all the bad side effects of nausea, bellyache, dehydration, headache , without the expected results of having emptied my bowels so I could have a successful procedure. I will have to repeat my colonoscopy in 3 months. I won't ask for that drug again."

For Bowel Preparation "This was the absolute easiest prep ever! I had done the drink in the past and went through the horror of drinking that awful stuff. I woke the next morning and was not clear. So I never returned to have a colonoscopy. 8 years later and my new doctor prescribed Sutab, it was so easy to take, 12 pills at 6pm and take with 16 oz water. Then two 16 oz water after. I was able to sleep without needing to get up in the middle of the night. I woke at 4 am and finished the other 12 tablets. I did not have any nausea or vomiting at all. Trick is to take them slowly and don't think about it. The prep was perfect and I was able to finally have my colonoscopy."

For Bowel Preparation "I actually failed to follow the prep instructions by eating the day before. I started the prep at 5:30 instead of 5 as instructed. The 1st bottle of 12, I took 3 pills at a time until all were gone and drank 40 oz of water. It took about 45 minutes before it started working. At 10, I repeated the prep with bottle 2. By 12, it was clear liquid and all was good to go. I am extremely happy with this prep and will not put off another colonoscopy again because of the prep. I had in the past."

For Bowel Preparation "Best prep so far! I used it yesterday. It’s 12 tablets over 20 minutes with 3- 16 oz glasses of water to finish over two hours. I took one table every 1 1/2 minutes with a few sips of water (set a recurring timer on my phone) and watched a movie. In 20 minutes I’d taken them all. No taste. 30 minutes later they started to do their job, and I was done in 2.5 hours. Took a 5 hour sleep, then up again for part two, which went just the same. Easiest prep ever. Doctor said excellent results. They are about the size of a multivitamin, so if you can take those, you’ll be good. Don’t drink a bunch of liquid before you start,so you’ll have an empty stomach and the water doesn’t fill you up."

For Bowel Preparation "I have had many colonoscopies before, and have always done the traditional drinking gallons upon gallons of Miralax. So when offered to take Sutab pills, it was a no-brainer. Well, worst mistake of my life. I took the first bottle of pills starting at 4 pm. By 4:30, I was nonstop vomiting and had a throbbing headache. The second bottle of pills brought more vomit and brought on rather violent diarrhea. Next time, I am guzzling the Miralax and will gladly do so."

For Bowel Preparation "Worked as advertised. Followed the instructions to the letter and had a good prep. I did the colonosocopy without sedation so I could watch the entire thing. Prep looked good/clean. Doctor remarked it was good as well. Didn't eat anything solid day before just clear jell-o and broth."

For Bowel Preparation "This was my first colonoscopy at age 50, and I had heard horror stories about the prep for years. My doctor prescribed Sutab, and my colonoscopy prep went off without a hitch. The Sutab kit came with two bottles of 12 tablets each and a 16 oz cup. My instructions were to take the first of the 12 tablets at 5 pm with 16 oz of water, followed by 16 oz of water at 6 pm and 16 oz more of water at 6:30 pm. I took one pill every 90 seconds and did not experience any nausea. About 1 hour later, I started having bowel movements, and by 11 pm, everything was over, and I grabbed a couple of hours of sleep. I got back up at 3 am and took the second dose of 12 tablets with 16 oz of water, which I took on the same 90-second schedule. I then had to drink 32 oz of water and be done with that at 4:30 am. All in all, no pain or discomfort, and the pills are tasteless. Can't complain one bit and will definitely use again in 5 years' time."

For Bowel Preparation "I wanted to give a positive review for this prep to give hope to people that are nervous about using this prep. This was my first colonoscopy. I do not do well with drinking excessive amounts of liquid, so I decided to do the Sutab instead. I was extremely nervous due to the reviews that I read about this prep, but surprisingly my experience was better than I thought it was going to be! I followed the directions given to me by my G.I. doc exactly. I started a low-fiber diet 3 days prior to my colonoscopy. The day before the procedure, I had a liquid diet only, which was Sprite, water, and a little bit of Gatorade. I took my first dose at 4 pm, it started working on me an hour later. I was on the toilet for 3 hours. Took my second dose at 3:15 am, again on the toilet for 3 hours. The only thing that was rough was I did have a lot of stomach pain and nausea. This prep isn't pleasant, but it also isn't the worse thing I've ever been through."

For Bowel Preparation "I just had my second colonoscopy and this time around, I was prescribed Sutab instead of GaviLyte (had no issues with GaviLyte prior, just that it was too difficult to consume so much liquid). I came here to read the reviews and pick up some tips and tricks. After seeing the reviews, I was honestly horrified and even considered calling my doctor to re-prescribe GaviLyte instead. Nevertheless, I read some great positive reviews and went through with the pills. Thank you to the folks who took the time to add their positive insights. I wanted to do the same in hopes to relieve some stress. Sutab was a walk in the park for me. I had zero issues taking the pills. I had very mild nausea from the first dose which lasted about 10 min. I had no symptoms taking the second dose. I started clearing out about an hour-ish later and didn't have to spend a whole night or morning in the bathroom."

For Bowel Preparation "72 yo female. Nothing but liquids the day prior. Ate nuts, seeds, and meat two days before. In the middle of the second dose now - the first dose went fine and was totally clear and read the second dose cleans out the bile collected between doses. Was able to sleep a few hours in between. Had a bowel resection one year ago due to polyps growing back and colon cancer from my father and paternal grandfather I’d recommend this prep over GoLytly. No side effects - no gross-tasting solutions to drink."

For Bowel Preparation "If you struggle with drinking the laxative fluids, then taking sutab in pill format helps drastically. I usually start two hours early from the recommended time my doctor gives me BECAUSE it takes a little time for it to take effect since it isn’t a liquid. That being said, I sometimes struggled to swallow the pills after not eating that day so to offset any nausea while taking all the pills in the container, I’ll take a quick break with a spoonful of honey so it feels like I’m eating something besides just swallowing these pills. I’ve been on it twice, and both times are great. I was even able to get a nap in before the colonoscopy in the morning. I refuse to take anything but sutab for bowel prep now."

For Bowel Preparation "Sutab was so much easier than drinking that horrible-tasting liquid. I planned for this about 4 days ahead, avoiding any hard-to-digest foods, no wheat, no beef, and no raw vegetables. I also drank more than usual. Started the prep at 6:30 PM. I was concerned about getting 12 tablets down, but that went easy and drinking water was a pleasure. I used a straw; not sure if that helped, but I got it all down easily. It started working about 1 1/2 hours later, gently at first. I was back and forth several times, then at about 9:15 pm, there was an explosive reaction. I barely made it the six feet to the bathroom. There were a few more episodes, not as violent as the first, so I stayed seated, afraid to get up. When the going stopped, I got a couple of hours of sleep before starting the next 12 tablets. The second set of tablets was as easy as the first. The next few episodes got clearer each time and finally yellow liquid. The doctor said I was clean. Success! And no puking. I HIGHLY recommend Sutab."

For Bowel Preparation "I had my 4th colonoscopy today. For me, Sutab was by far the best prep. I had to drink 48 oz of water with each dose of Sutab. There are two doses to complete the prep. I’ve read other reviews indicating nausea and other problems which I didn’t experience. Overall, I’m very happy I chose Sutab."

For Bowel Preparation "Knowing that having your bowels cleansed from the top down isn’t going to be the most fun part of your week, the Sutab prep was much better than some of the horror stories that I read in other reviews. This is the only colonoscopy prep I have done, but swallowing pills sure seemed better than the liquid method I’ve heard about from others. Two sets of 12 pills are done. I think spacing the pills out helped. I set a timer and took one every 90 seconds. I’d suggest drinking the exact amount of water recommended (not more or less). In the first round I ended up drinking an extra 16 oz and I was so full it made me nauseous. Second round I drank the exact amount and it was fine. Diaper rash ointment and a gentle touch are your friends in this process or it’ll feel like you ate 20 habanero peppers at dinner the night before. Also, follow the food/clear liquid instructions carefully. I did 2 days on clear liquids and had a good prep. Overall not that awful."

For Bowel Preparation "Began to work almost immediately when you finish the 16 ounces of water with the pills, so be close to the bathroom. It gave me a slight nauseous feeling and some mild belching and minimal stomach cramps that passed quickly. It was so much better than prepping with Gatorade (gag me). The only drawback is my colonoscopy was scheduled for 7 am, so my second dose began at 1 am. I was so exhausted from no sleep. I would recommend Sutab."

For Bowel Preparation "While Sutab was less 'painful' to take than the old method, it had lingering effects. While taking it, I had nausea and headaches. And 2 weeks later, I still have dry mouth. And anyone with a gag reflex while taking pills may not be able to take it. It required swallowing 12 large pills and then 5 hours later swallowing 5 more."

The on-call doctor told me to take 20mg of Duccolax the next morning instead of Sutab. I have never had this happen to me before when I have used previous preps."

For Bowel Preparation "I've used 3 other colon preps in the past and this was by far the easiest to use. Taking the pills was easy and clean out began within an hour and was over in 3 hours. I changed to a low-residue diet a few days before and drank Gatorade as well as lots of water the day of the first dose. Getting up at 3 am for the second dose the morning of the procedure wasn't something to look forward to but it was bad. I did get a sore anus and Vaseline helped. I suggest not waiting for the soreness to develop before applying it."

For Bowel Preparation "This is my first experience with sutab. I have had the liquid prep several times before; this method is amazing compared to the liquid. Another user said to take zofran prior and it must have helped because I had zero nausea or vomiting. I also am completely clear after just my first dose! Also, it was recommended by another user to set your phone timer and take it every 3 minutes. It’s a million times better than liquid prep."

For Bowel Preparation "Took initial dose of the 12 tabs with 16 oz. water, which was the exact amount needed to swallow the pills. Pills went down fine, thought all was well until about 5 minutes later extreme nausea followed by violent vomiting (as in have no voice left from retching, was not prescribed any Zofran or other anti-nausea). Called on-call physician to see if I should even take the next 12 tabs and she recommended doing 5 capfuls of Miralax powder in place of the pills that were immediately rejected. The directions stated voiding could take 1 or 5-6 hours and at 5 hours still no movement. Will edit after full (hopefully successful prep)."
