For Birth Control "I don't have anything to complain about besides a big decrease in appetite, which is good and bad. It helps me eat healthier and eat the right portions but I almost feel like I have to force myself to eat now and I Love food. So I've ended up shedding a few pounds which I'm already tiny enough. But besides only a little spotting and my first period was shortened and minor cramping, its working out fine for me! I was on Lo estrin prior and that made me feel a little moody and emotional and brought down my sex drive as well."

For Birth Control "I got put on this birth control Tri-Lo-Sprintec two months ago to prevent pregnancy and to clear my hormonal cystic acne. I know everyone recommends you try something for at least 3 months before you ditch it and move on to your next possible solution. However sometimes it just doesn’t work that way and you just can’t take the mental abuse some of these medications cause. I’m not writing this review to scare off anyone from trying it, I searched and searched before being bold and reminding myself that everyone’s body is different and that MAYBE this birth control could potentially be my solution to clear skin. It wasn’t. I now have cystic acne on my cheeks, chin and back. Starting out I only had chin acne. I’ve always dealt with acne but haven’t had it this bad in a long time. This birth control has also made me have two mental breakdowns, I’ve never in my life had such a breakdown before. It made me lose my sex drive AND did I mention how emotional I am after being on this bc? I hate it."

For Birth Control "I used to take an off brand, non-named combination birth control which caused me to have extremely painful periods in the middle of the pack (I was taking this for around 8 months and it was still happening!!) I switched to this birth control Tri-Lo-Sprintec so that would stop happening and I've been spotting but not too bad. My last period wasn’t nearly as painful and I haven’t had the same negative experiences as some of these other comments. This birth control is effective!!"

For Birth Control "Let me start off by saying, yes, the bad reviews scared me at first, too. So much in fact, that I feared to even use this birth control pill. I have been using this method for 3 months now, and in all honesty, its worked fine. Granted of course, the first week or two will be a bit rough for just about anyone. You're adding something new to your body, so you probably will feel sick, sleepy, headaches, my biggest problem was anxiety at first. But once your body has adjusted to the pills, it really has no consequences. Just make sure you read all the information, take it the same time every day, and give it a try! I understand everyone is different, but it doesn't hurt to try! It's worked fine, and has done its job great."

For Birth Control "I have been sensitive to several birth control pills, including tri lo Marzia which is supposed to be the same thing. On that one I bled for 3 weeks straight in the middle of a pack. This one has worked wonderfully for me and I have had no issues with acne or mood swings like I have with others. I do think every birth control works differently for everyone, so never take what one person says positively or negatively from a review!"

For Birth Control "I was put on this Tri-Lo-Sprintec birth control since my other got discontinued. Within the 1st month I started not feeling myself at all. Well let me tell you, I’ve never experienced anxiety till taking this pill nor panic attacks. Easter morning I had my first panic attack and had no idea at the time till I went to the ER. I ended up having another panic attack 3 days later. I was recommended to see a therapist. So I saw a therapist and she told me I was depressed. Depression doesn’t run in my family nor have I never had it before, but this pill made me to where I didn’t leave my bedroom for about 2 days. Didn’t want to see friends or family, go out do anything, go to work, driving was the worst. This anxiety stuck with me for a good 2 months after stopping this horrible pill. I’m now 6 months off of it and finally feeling like myself and normal again. This pill does help by not getting pregnant and helps with your cramps.. But that’s it."

For Birth Control "I switched to Tri-Lo-Sprintec from Yaz because I hated the side effects on Yaz. Pros: I did not experience any loss of libido, my moods and mental states were normal, no weight gain, cramps under control, no abnormal bleeding, and most importantly I did not become pregnant. Cons: I am now experiencing an apparent allergic reaction to the sun (being in the sun for even a short time even with plenty of sunscreen, my skin gets red and itchy for days afterwards - photosensitivity reaction) plus I started having migraines after my first cycle on Tri-Lo-Sprintec. After 8 months on it, I've found some migraine triggers and now only get them once a month - during the inactive week of this pill (or about a week after starting a new pack straight away) so I'm stopping this particular pill to see if something with a different dose of hormone stops the apparently hormonal migraines. I can deal with the sun rash but I cannot deal with the migraines anymore, which is sad because otherwise I loved this pill."

For Birth Control "After being on Ortho Tri-cyclen Lo for over a year my pharmacy switched me to Tri Lo Sprintec and as with others I was "assured" this was the same exact drug that I had been taking. Well after the first pack my face has been breaking out throughout the month, my 2nd month my period was MUCH more painful (one of the reasons I went on BC to begin with) and I bled for almost a full week instead of my normal 4-5 days. By the 3rd month I noticed my anxiety and abdominal cramping at all times of my cycle flaring up. Mood swings galore and a period that lasted more than 7 days. :( Spoke with my PCP and she agreed to switch back to brand name only and I am hopeful that it will all resolve and that other ladies see these reviews too!"

For Birth Control "This is hands down the worst birth control I've ever been on!! I've never been so bloated, exhausted and miserable. I've gotten horrible pains In my ovaries, not to mention my stomach is a mess. I've also broken out like crazy! I've called my insurance company and I'm going to pay 50$ a month to go back to ortho tri cyclen because I never want to feel like this again. This differently isn't the same as ortho tri cyclen . If you have a choice I suggest pick any other birth control besides tri lo sprintec!"

For Ovarian Cysts "I was prescribed this birth control in February because I was diagnosed with PCOS. My periods were very irregular and I could skip anywhere from 2 to 9 months without a period. I’m on my fourth month of this and it has been great. My period consistently comes on the 3rd day of the placebo pills. My periods also used to be extremely heavy, painful, and long. My periods are now light, around 5 days, and I haven’t had a single cramp! I haven’t had any side effects, I have found that this has extremely elevated my mood. The PCOS caused a significant low in hormones so I often fell into depressive lows and other symptoms. This has helped me tremendously. Every medication works differently for everyone so I would not let the negative reviews stop you from possibly finding the best for you."

For Birth Control "I've been on tri lo sprinter for four months. I switched over from Ortho tri cyclen, which I loved. My first period on tri lo sprinter was horrendous. I was extremely depressed, and hopeless, which I did not experience on my previous birth control. Since then my mood around the time of my period has settled, but I get debilitating migraines consistently every month the first day of my period. It has the same active ingredients as the name brand, but it feels quite different to me, maybe that has to do with the inactive ingredients."

For Birth Control "Like many others, I switched to Tri-Lo-Sprintec birth control after Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo was discontinued. I had a previously bad experience with this, but I decided to give it another try since I really didn’t have any other options. Worst mistake ever! I have been on it this time for almost 4 months, and I stopped after the first week of my new pack, because I just can’t take it anymore. My skin has not been affected by this medication, but the bloating and weight gain is AWFUL! The only time I feel halfway normal is during the last week with the placebos, even with my period. Oh, and those have been much worse since taking these pills...heavier and cramping badly. After reading other reviews I’m starting to wonder if they’ve been the cause of my headaches as well. I’m not sure what I’m going to do instead, but I don’t feel like myself anymore while taking these, so they are no longer an option for me."

For Birth Control "I have tried different birth control pills and this is my favorite so far, it regulated my period from an everyday bleeding to a normal 3-4 days per month, I used to get really bad cramps to the point that I could not walk, I had to stay in bed for the first 2 days of my period, and this pill made them less painful, I have always deal with anxiety so nothing change about it, never gain weight and it also took away my everyday headaches, recently my doctor decided to change them for cryselle which is giving me horrible cramps nausea and headaches with only 2 days of using it, I'm definitely going back to tri-Lo-Sprintec."

"I started using Tri Lo Sprintec in January. I’ve always had acne but it wasn’t too bad like my sister’s. It bothered me though so I wanted to fix it. My sister resorted to Accutane, which I didn’t believe I needed. My doctor prescribed a less effective birth control(Ortho Tri Cyclen) and it switches brand every few months to Tri Lo Sprintec and Tri Lo Marzia. In April, I switched from Tri-Lo-Sprintec to Tri-Lo-Marzia. The Tri-Lo-Sprintec was working fine and cleared up my acne about 95% but I noticed I had gained about 3-4 pounds. After switching to Tri-Lo-Marzia, I lost that weight but my weight also tends to fluctuate so I’m not sure if it was because of the pills. In 2 days, I start my next 3 months on Tri-Lo-Sprintec again and I’m not worried. I’ve never really experienced any odd side effects from this birth control series. I don’t particularly like the weight gain but I don’t mind a few pounds, plus the birth control part seems to work pretty good for me. I’m very satisfied with Tri-Lo-Sprintec"

For Birth Control "This pill was the worst decision of my life. I started off using Mononessa as birth control and to regulate my period around 4 years ago and stayed on the pill until now. A month ago I switched to Tri Lo Sprintec to help some weird acne I was getting constantly on the Mononessa , but the Tri Lo Sprintec is just was horrible. All the side effects hit me hard, the migraines, anxiety, depression. I had around 3 panic attacks that last hours for every week so I decided to ditch the pill and now I’m letting my body just clean itself out."

For Ovarian Cysts "DO NOT TAKE THIS BC . Worst BC ever . I wish I would've listened to the reviews. This BC ruined 72 hours of my life this week. Horrible side effects after just 3 days. irritable, annoyed with everything , loud noises hurt my head ,light hurt my eyes , and I was snapping at my husband for any little thing he said or did . Horrible stomach issues . Watery poop (sorry tmi) in the middle of the night like at 2am 3 am having to sit on the toilet for 30 min . 3rd day I called my Ob for a new brand to start. I can't continue this BC . I refuse to feel like feel 1 more day. Compare pros and cons of other BC's. I might add this was free through insurance if I had to pay 200$ or more a month I would pay the 200$ vs taking this 1 that is free."

For Birth Control "I switched from orthopedic tri cyclen lo because my insurance started charging me almost $300 for 3 months. I didn't want to pay this so i was put on tri lo sprintec since it was covered. I started getting the worst anxiety I have ever had at the bed of the first week. I am on my second pack and hasn't gotten better. I am finishing out this pack and switching. This has been by far the worst birth control for me."

For Birth Control "I had to switch from Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo to Tri-Lo-Sprintec due to my original being discontinued. The first 2 out 4 weeks of each birth control pack is just fine. I didn't mind the weight gain and my mood swings were similar to my other birth control. HOWEVER, this birth control will seriously messes up your health. I've been having constant migraines and at one point thought I was having a heart attack. I talked to my doctor about my symptoms and she agreed that it was best to get off this birth control. It gave me panic attack like symptoms and is not worth preventing pregnancy. My period come 3 days late anyways so I spend those days panicking if I'm pregnant. Do yourself a favor and invest in something else."

For Birth Control "My pharmacy switched me without informing me from Trinessa to Tri Lo Sprintec. At first I was very skeptical and my mother warned me against taking it, but I have never had any bad experiences with other birth controls before so I figured this would be the same. Immediately I began to notice a change in my appetite as I would eat more than ever before resulting in weight gain. I also had almost no sex drive or desire to do anything with my boyfriend. I felt like I could not be myself as hard as I tried, once my boyfriend approached me about how I had not been myself whatsoever I knew I had to stop taking it. It was upsetting because despite all these side effects it is the first birth control that has ever cleared up my acne which I have struggled with for years."

For Birth Control "I have been on this for going on my second month because my pharmacy has been out of my usual brand (Tri Cyclen Lo) for the past 2 months and I’ve noticed my face has broke out really bad like not normal and I’ve had really bad mood swings and my first period on this pill was barely anything and it was 2 days early and not normal!! I would not suggest this pill at all!!"

For Birth Control "While this birth control isn’t the absolute greatest, it’s not the absolute worst either. I started this pill about a month ago after my pharmacy switched me from Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo (which I had been taking for 8 years and loved) because of an apparent recall. At first, I was very hesitant about taking a new pill because I was so used to my usual brand. However, I am sexually active and did not want to get pregnant. I just finished my first pack and overall, my breast have been tender, I’ve been a bit nauseated, a few headaches than usual; and by blood pressure is up and down. My period however is normal and it didn’t start earlier than the usual start date. I plan to begin taking my second pack and allowing my body to adjust to this pill! I don’t absolutely love it, but I don’t absolutely hate it either."

For Birth Control "I have only been on this birth control for about 2 months. I use to take birth control a year ago but stopped & then started again. So far I have not seen any huge problems. Ladies even though sometimes a birth control doesn’t work for someone else doesn’t mean it won’t work for you! I think the most noticeable change was I had a little bit more acne within the first month. My first period I had with it I think was a little lighter than usual but not by much. I tend to have heavy periods so hopefully my periods become lighter. I have pretty bad anxiety but honestly nothing has changed since being on the pill, still the same, not better not worse. Which is fine with me. I had noticed in my lower region I did gain some stretch marks and when I did back tracking I realized they did start to appear when I started the birth control. I started this pill because my boyfriend and I started having sex. So far. Not pregnant. It has only been a month though. ( knock on wood)."

For Abnormal Uterine Bleeding "I have been using Tri-Lo for about a week now. It has not helped my constant bleeding, it is only making it worse (from somewhat light to super heavy) and I have not broken out in a rash. I thought it was eczema at first but I don't get outbreaks in the winter. Tomorrow I am calling my GYN to switch to something else."

For Birth Control "I started on the pill when I was around 20 years old. I was taking ortho Tri Cyclen lo and never had an issue. A year or two later I switched to Tri Lo Sprintec, I believe because my insurance only covered generic at that point (I just now discovered that ortho Tri Cyclen lo was discontinued.) I was taking this for about 3 years and didn’t notice any big changes or side effects. My ‘periods’ were regular and I still had cramps but nothing out of the ordinary. Last year at 26 I stopped taking the pill and went off birth control altogether. Here we are a year later and I decided to get back on the pill. I started on Sunday and the next day I felt nauseous. I took it again that morning not thinking anything of it. My symptoms progressively got worse throughout the day. I’ve been sick with nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, chest pain, stomach cramps and headaches for at least four days now. The only thing I’ve been doing differently is taking this pill. I’m never touching bc again."
