"This is the BEST birth control I’ve ever been on. I’ve been on this pill for almost two years now and it’s changed my life. I have PCOS, and this pill manages all of my symptoms! Mood swings, bloating are gone thanks to this pill. Recently, I tried Hailey Fe. Although the same active ingredients, I gain a little weight on that one and feel bloated. This pill works in harmony with my two PCOS medications- I call them the perfect trifecta because they’ve all changed my life. I wanted to leave a positive review because I had no idea people were having so much trouble with this medication! This may be the perfect BC for you. It is my absolute favorite and when they sub it at the pharmacy, I go out of my way to get it back, just because it works so well for me."

"I was only on the Larin Fe 1/20 pill for a month and it was awful. It ruined my mental health. I am not a very emotional person and I began to sob every day. It caused me to have very dark thoughts. Please do not take"

"I have been on birth control on and off for the last 17 years. This is by far the worst one yet. The only positive thing I can say about it is I didn’t get pregnant. However, I felt like I was. I have been on Junel FE for years with no trouble. My pharmacy was out of it and assured me Larin FE was the same exact thing. I beg to differ. By day 5 I was so nauseous and felt horrible. I was ready to fall into bed by 7:30 utterly exhausted which was not normal for me. The nausea was horrendous. I actually lost 5lbs in 12 days because I couldn’t really eat. My anxiety went through the roof which hasn’t happened in a very long time. To the point I had a horrible panic attack in the middle of the night, which hadn’t been normal for me in a while. Don’t even get me started on the headache. Whew. I stopped taking it because my doctor called my script in somewhere else and within 36 hours I was back to my normal self. I would avoid Larin at all costs."

"I’ve been on this medication not even for a week. I been nauseous for the past 3 days straight. Today I feel unbalanced and unable to focus on the computer screen. Last night I suffer unbearable cramps. The listed long term side effect are wild, like 4 or 5 different cancers like what human been would suggest someone to take this horrible drug. This medication isn’t worth the risk. I'd rather be pregnant"

"I’ve been taking Larin Fe 1/20 for six months now. I was on Lo Loestrin Fe but it was to expensive even with insurance and I loved that one had light periods and hardly any cramping. Larin Fe has got me out right crazy. I’ve been so moody the past 2 months mean to a lot of people and very agitated at everything. I haven’t been able to stomach lots of things like I use too. I will say it didn’t make me gain weight what so ever actually made me lose weight. Very high protection too even when I missed one or two on my first pack. But these last two months I’ve had no period what so ever and I think that’s causing my temper. I’ve been tested by Home pregnancy tests and doctors, I’m not pregnant. But I’ve always had issues with extreme cyst pains and I’ve had even worse pains this past month. Honestly don’t know what I recommend. Everyone’s body is different and I will say this one was not for me will be switching."

"This makes me sad! I makes my period light. But it makes me feels like I'm sleepy and it makes me feel like I don't want to wake up I try during the day and it made feel sleep all day long just wanted to sleep. I am taking it at 11:30 pm it make me fall a sleep with out dosing off. I just fall asleep about 10 to 20 min after I take it. In the morning I just feel sleep and with no desire to do anything. I can't even go back to sleep but I want to and I feel like that all day just wanting to go to sleep. I feel lazy and just want to eat and eat and eat like I'm starving. I will be letting this pill go. It is not worth it. I have no desire and I blame this pill! I'm have have done my research. And reading these commitments prove its not just me. Thanks 4 sharing ladies. God Bless!"

"I have been taking this since towards the end of October and I have had very few problems. The only side effects I am experiencing is brown breakthrough bleeding/spotting, it’s not unbearable but it does get quite annoying. I haven’t had any mood changes so far and my skin seems to be getting better by the week. I haven’t tested the effectiveness of the prevention of pregnancy yet but I am confident that my doctor chose a good brand for me."

"I've always had normal periods, first few days would tend to be heavier and I wanted to prevent pregnancy and have low maintenance with my cycles. I do suffer from depression/anxiety and do take adderal for ADHD along with IBS. Larin Fe has been wonderful, I no longer get periods which is great and preferred- you want to make sure you take your medication on time every day or you'll spot - if I missed a day I would get a period for a few days. I have no weight gain, no loss of appetite, no noticeable changes to my mental or physical health. Larin has allowed me to stay on track with my medication and not detract its effects. I am sorry for the woman or families that have had bad experiences. I personally want to share it isn't a one size fits all and to ease the scare of those who need to switch due to costs/insurance. I've been dealing with mental health/physical health issues before Larin and I can say it has not effected me negatively and I will continue to stay on it."

"So I've been on this pill for two months now at first it was a little rough. I was nauseous and felt like I was going to throw up. Every time I ate my stomach hurt like anything. Then about the third row down it went all away. Now my face still gets acne and for some odd reason my face is dry as well. Never use to be like that smh. And I've gained weight on this. I was almost down to my pre pregnancy weight then bam almost gained all the weight back which was about 30 pounds. I've had one period no cramps which is ok. I haven't had a period yet for the second month though "

"I'm 24 and took this BC Larin Fe 1/20 for 3 months, I can see the negatives. In the first month I was experiencing random light bleeding directly after taking the pill, definite mood changes (much more irritable), and chest pain. The second month I noticed that my acne was getting worse (I do have acne prone skin) I was hoping birth control would help my breakouts but instead gave me worse acne on my cheeks and chin (I never got acne on my chin badly before). My side effects in the third month are what made me decide to switch BC pills. I noticed that my hair was definitely falling out more than usual. I have thick hair as it is, but noticed in the shower my hands were literally covered in hair on wash days, which I have never experienced prior to this BC. I'm actually SCARED to wash my hair, seeing how much falls out. My last week on the pill I also experienced intense headaches out of no where. The pros to Larin fe 1/20 are that my periods are super light and short and that I am not pregnant."

"I had extremely bad periods prior to starting meds. Throwing up every month multiple times in one night over a period of a few days. Cramps to the point of passing out and so on. I use to bleed for 8-9 days. The first three months were about the same as they were before starting the meds. My doctor said it’ll take a while to actually begin working so I gave it some time. I honestly started to loose hope for a bit but it around 4 months things were significantly better. I could go back to school, hang out again. I do still have cramps here and there as well as sore breasts however, it’s NOTHING like it was before. I’m also regular now so I’d give it a good 8/10."

"No.. Just no!! I didn't have many side effects for the first two months besides slight breakthrough bleeding which is nothing I can't handle. On month three, I had the WORST anxiety of my life. I've always had anxiety but this was completely different. I had no control over my emotions, was crying constantly, was having anxiety attacks and chest pains. I finally called it quits and instantly felt better by the next day. Everyones experience is obviously going to be different, but this was horrible for me."

"One of the worst birth controls. I’ve been on Larin fe for a month now and I’ve already gained 6 pounds. I always feel bloated and myself esteemed has dropped to a whopping zero. I was on Junel fe before this but my insurance stopped covering And they said this was the generic brand but that doesn’t seem right. I’ve been crying about myself, I’m always worried about my weight and it’s horrible. Definitely not recommend but at least I’m not pregnant even though I feel and look it."

"Initially when I first started Larin I didn’t mind it. Didn’t affect my depression or anxiety and I didn’t have any acne. The reason for the low rating is one of the side affects of taking this pill is yeast infections. After the first month of the pack I noticed I was itchy down there and couldn’t understand why till I read it was one of the side affects of this birth control. I stopped taking it because it’s not worth the headache! Which is a bummer because I didn’t have any other problems with side affects except this one."

"I have been on this birth control since August 2020. I have never used the pill before I’ve always used long term birth controls. I like how I know exactly when my period of going to start but I noticed that on the week that I don’t take the pills I am extremely emotional. I find myself crying all the time, extremely depressed. Emotional rollercoaster. If you have mental health issues maybe this pill is not for you. Which I should look into changing soon as well."

"“I was put on this birth control to help stop bleeding and to help regulate my periods and I’m on my third month. I never had cramps this bad and my period is really heavy and it looks like it’s not going to stop anytime soon. I had this same birth control 2 years ago when I was 16 (18 now) and I had this same problem WORST PILL EVER"

"I hate this pill. I've been on different pills before and I have never felt like this. I'm throwing up all the time. My appetite has increased heavily. My acne has never ever been this bad. I'm tired all the time and I just feel like shit since taking it. I've been on it for three month now and every new pack is just a horror story. I get a very very light period which really pisses me off. I get it for one day. I hate that I'm the type of person who freaks out if that happens. It makes me so uncomfortable and nervous to basically not get a period. My OB won't change the pill and I'm so fed up with it. I have no motivation at all. I never felt this was before taking this pill. I hate it."

"This pill was complete hell for me. It has made my anxiety about getting pregnant even worse. I get migraines and I am never hungry. I've lost 12 pounds and now in my fourth month of taking the pill, I can say I am really excited to start a new pill next month. Beginning this month, my breasts became really tender making my anxiety even worse! My cramps still exist and it does a good job at regulating my period, but my period starts and stops throughout the week of the placebo pills."

"This birth control was a disaster. My mood was horrible, I was depressed and would have a melt down over absolutely nothing. My sex drive was very very low. It did prevent pregnancy and my periods were light. But it wasn’t worth how it made me feel. I had to switch to this when my insurance stopped covering Minastrin, I am now stopping this and starting Sprintec in hopes I can return to my normal self."

"I started this pill in May of 2018 and I’m currently still on it. The good: I had no weight gain, I never experienced any pain, my period went from 7 days to 4 days, and I had unprotected sex and haven’t gotten pregnant *knock on wood*. The bad: I feel like I’ve become extremely depressed, anxious and impulsive since the end of June to now. So much changed within me that I feel it really affected me and the people around me. I have mild mood swings now, any teenage girl has these but it feels a little more extreme. I’m considering getting off of it just because I don’t feel like myself and I’ve become impulsive and I want to say a little bit bipolar. I never had these mental issues before I started taking it. I recommend this product, everyone has different side effects but be cautious if you feel like you mental health has become worse then maybe get off of it."

"This was the first time I've ever tried birth control in order to curb my PMDD symptoms. In terms of doing that, I wasn't getting depressed and suicidal like I usually would a week before my period (I was still agitated tho. That might tie into me getting off my anxiety meds). I experienced no nausea but what I did experience were longer periods. I was taking it continuously with no breaks (advised by my OBGYN) but the first two months I had 7 day periods (albeit light). And then.....my third month.....17 days in counting I have had my period."

"I have been on this Larin Fe 1/20 birth control for a full year. The first 6 months were a roller coaster. I had random bleeding, mood swings, and I was depressed. I did not feel like myself. My OBGYN did tell me that for the first 6 months your body will need to adjust, so I was prepared. I kept asking myself when is this gonna end??? I actually got on a great routine with it (after the 6 months) and all of the above stopped. I did notice when I didn't take it at the same time for days in a row, I had random bleeding. The only thing is that my sex drive has plummeted and this is so awful. I have come to the point where I don't even want to do it anymore, and I have never been like that. I think after my last refill (this month) I am going off of it. But, in the end, it did do what it needed to. Be safe and do what is best for you. <3"

"I have not had good luck with any birth control pills, but I think it's safe to say Larin has been the worst. I have taken this pill multiple times throughout the last few years. Recently, I have had major depression and anxiety that seems to be a side effect of this pill. The hormonal imbalance makes me feel like I could be pregnant even though I'm not. PMS exists for three weeks out of the month for me while I have been on this birth control. My periods have been lighter on this pill though."
