Been on Safyral for 6 weeks. I have no complaints. I've never been on birth control but had to go on it due to bleeding for 2 months straight really heavily. My bleeding stopped, I've not had any mood changes, weight gain, acne, or anything. It's regulated my periods and now I'm back to normal. It's been a great first experience with birth control.

I've been on Safyral for about 6 months now, when my doctor first put me on this pill I really liked. It was my first time going on birth control so I was nervous about all the weight gain rumors. But it was fine, I didn't gain any weight, I actually lost weight and my breasts got bigger. My skin cleared up, it has been a great contraceptive so far, but it made me so emotional. Maybe 2 or 3 months in I just got so depressed, randomly I would just get so sad and not even know why. I cried all the time, I had a short fuse, the littlest things would just upset me and I've never been like that so I'm switching. Everyone is different though and besides the emotions it was a great birth control.

Although this medication has done what it's suppose to do, I get upset over everything. For about three weeks I've been crying/ sulking and there's been no change. I hope it gets better.

I've been on Safyral since Jan 2011. (Almost a year) It was awesome at first, but as time went on it slowly started to change me. Great if you don't have a boyfriend. I say that because I have ZERO want or desire to be cuddly or intimate with my amazing, sweet, and down near perfect boyfriend of two years. It's the most frustrating of all my symptoms. Next are the mood swings, angry one minute, sad the next, anxious...it never ends! Before this pill I always considered myself to be a "guy" when it came to emotions, I was always just happy go lucky, NOT with this. Emotions=scale of 1 on this stuff. Pros=100% clear skin, all the time! No weight gain. Its not the WORST birth control out there but just be prepared to ride a emotional roller coaster.

No breakthrough bleeding, felt the best that I ever had, lost weight and felt like my old self again. So I started this medicine in April 2012 and am currently on it and it's October 2012. This will be my last pack. I have experienced nausea, bloating, mood swings, sadness, depression, fatigue and just don't feel like my self anymore.

I haven't been on this pill for very long, but my doctor gave me some free samples because I was having breakthrough bleeding with LoEstrin. So far, my main complaint is nausea. I have never felt so consistently sick in my life - not even with the flu! I'll post again when I've been on it longer about weight gain, mood swings, cramps, etc.

I have been on this for a month and have had a horrible experience with my mood change, I have always been a happy person, and now for the last week I am so depressed and I am constantly feeling a nervous feeling in my gut, like anxiety. I had a baby 2 months ago, and even through my pregnancy never felt any mood swings or depression. I talked to my doctor and have decided to stop this birth control. Hope it'll fix this sad feeling.

I've just finished my first pack of Safyral and have no complaints. My skin is noticeably clearer, it has helped to reduce cramping and a heavy flow. I've had only one strange craving and it's for sour foods (pickles especially). No bad moods in fact I've been in a great mood since I've been on it. I've pretty much have experience all pros since taking it.

I have been on this for about 6 months now and started on it to help with my irregular and heavy periods as well as a contraceptive. Let me just say all women's hormones are different but for me this works. Don't have acne (never really had a problem with it before). I start my pills on a Friday and when I finish my active pills have my period on a Tuesday/Wednesday. It's prevented pregnancy (I'm only 21 don't want a baby) and keeps my periods in check I love it!

I have been on this birth control for about a month and a half now. This my first time on birth control so I did not understand all the changes that were going on. BUT I started craving so many things and also nausea will come! Also many mood swings, specially when my period is near all I want to do is cry, and acne was HORRIBLE. I did not gain weight or anything like that though.

I have been on this pill for a couple of months now. It's great with acne and no weight gain or anything but I will say it's absolutely horrible with moods. I've had the worst mood swings. I'm depressed and I literally cry over ANYthing and when I start, I cant stop!

I had been taking Microgestin Fe 1.5/30 for 2 years until it started giving me bad cramping and breakthrough bleeding on the active pills. I think my body was starting to reject it or the dosage just wasn't high enough anymore. Then my doctor suggested to try Safyral and gave me 2 free samples. I just finished my first month and it wasn't too bad. The worst side effect I had was nausea. My breasts felt fuller, but they went back to their normal size after my period. My period was lighter and the cramping wasn't that bad. I didn't gain any weight or feel bloated. I will have to see how this next month is...I plan on staying on this pill!

The first week, I was convinced I had the flu. I would vomit a few hours after I took the pill and felt lightheaded. I could barely function. That went away and I started getting headaches. Good thing is I didn't gain or lose weight.

I have been on Safyral for two months, no babies. I used to have heavy periods but they are lighter now. But I did gain weight, breast got bigger and very tender. My skin is very broken out, have a lot of headaches and nausea.

Have almost been on Safyral for a year and I love it. I used to have really heavy periods, but I know exactly when I am going to start (usually a Tuesday night to Wednesday morning) and I know I'll stop on Sunday. It's lighter. I have noticed that sometimes my bad cramps I used to have are starting to return. It has definitely kept the babies away which is the reason I went on the birth control and will continue to keep using it.

I have been on this birth control for about 2 to 3 months. I have TERRIBLE menstrual cramps, acne did clear up. Heavy bleeding during period but no breakthrough bleeding. Not pregnant! VERY MOODY and Cry over sad songs and sad commercials. I'm going back to the doctor in a few weeks and changing.

I'm 29 and have been on Safyral for 3 months now for irregular bleeding. I have breast tenderness, bad cramps, acne and I am also very moody! My anxiety level has raised a little and the bleeding is heavier than normal. This is also my first time ever taking the pill. This is my last pack I'm taking.

I've recently switched to Safyral from Beyaz about two months ago and I love it! I was nervous because I searched the Internet over and over, and only found one good review for this pill so I thought I'd give my experience to people who are wanting to try this. I've had no major issues or changes except positive ones. While taking Beyaz my face was broken out at least with 3-5 blemishes every week, I decided to ask my Obgyn what I should do and as suggested going on Safyral. So I did and I noticed immediate skin clearing. I haven't had one blemish since I started using this stuff. It doesn't affect my mood or personality either! I just feel like myself but with clear skin now! I'd recommend this to anyone!

Been on this birth control now for 4 months. It works well as it prevents pregnancy, but so far, I've had very heavy periods and severe cramps and tons of chin acne. Yaz never gave me these issues. I want to switch, but doctor told me to give it another 3 months to see what happens. If I still don't like it, then she said I can switch. I must stick it out until then.

Two months ago I started taking Safyral because my doctor had high recommendations and gave me three packs for free. I took it for a month and started feeling uncontrollably moody. I want to cry for no reason, and everything I used to love makes me angry and upset. I switched back to my normal birth control after the first pack was done, but then decided to give it another chance since it is free and I wasn't positive that it was the Safyral making me feel this way. Right now I am on my second pack and feel horrible, moody, irritable. On the plus side my breasts got bigger and I'm not pregnant. I'm finishing this pack then switching back to my original again.

I was on Safyral for 4 month. I had a break-through bleeding the first month, then it stopped (Which was very fast for me! It was great). However, my acne increased and I was tired all the time. Also, I had terribly sore breasts and white vaginal discharge every last week of active pills. My periods became much lighter with less cramps. When I stopped taking the pill, my acne was 90% gone the next day! I couldn't believe it! My face looked cleaner than before I started this pill. I was off the pill for a month, and my acne still is very small (Which is good, because I used to have bad breakouts). Couple of days ago started taking LoEstrin 24, will see what it does.

Great birth control pill. I use it for contraception (the only form I regularly use) and for polycystic ovarian syndrome symptom management. Prior to trying Safyral I tried two other brands and had horrific side effects. The only one I get on this pill is cravings! Mostly for sugar and sometimes carbs which I try hard to avoid! I would highly recommend this pill!

I have been on this pill for five months now going on 6. I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo for years, almost 10, then my body started to reject it. But I loved it. Perfectly timed periods and no side effects whatsoever. My doctor switched me to Natazia. Terrible. I had terrible acne and ridiculous bloating and weight gain all in my stomach area. I work out regularly and eat healthy. My only vice is alcohol. So after three months on that pill, I was switched to Safyral. I get very bloated one week before my period. My period is very heavy. I get bad cramps, although this month they seem to have subsided as today is the first of my placebo pills and no cramps this month. But I am very bloated. Acne minimum.

I'm only on my first pack but so far I have no negative side effects. This week (week 2) I feel great. I have been on Ortho Tricyclen Low and it gave me horrible mood swings, which this medicine has not. I love it!

I'll break down my experience with parts of this birth control for you. 1) skin: totally cleared up my skin. EXCELLENT for that. 2) birth control: its the only form of contraceptive I use, and so far...no babies. A . 3) cravings: its hard for me to say, because I've ALWAYS craved carbohydrates and sugar anyways, so. neutral. 4) periods: on time. No break through bleeding. 5) mood: 100% TERRIBLE. I can not emphasize this enough. NOTHING will be wrong in my life, and I literally wont be able to stop crying. Yesterday, I think I started crying at 8am and continued crying at hour intervals until I fell asleep at 9:30pm. I get frustrated now over tiny things. I have mood swings. I act irrationally. But mainly I just cry. ALL. THE. TIME. and I'm just constantly sad.
