Intrarosa (dehydroepiandrosterone) for Dyspareunia "After starting tamoxifen for breast cancer I developed vaginal atrophy and interstitial cystitis. I was constantly having UTI symptoms but culture was negative. My gyn prescribed Intrarosa which was a Godsend. After a week the UTI symptoms lessened and after 8 weeks I don’t have them at all. I also use Replens which my gyn also recommended."

Intrarosa (dehydroepiandrosterone) for Dyspareunia "I only rated this a 9 just due to the fact that I haven't had sex with it yet. I get aroused when situations arrive, just haven't had full intercourse. My vaginal wall was so thin it flaked during medical exams. After just 2 months on intrarosa my vaginal wall are strong and healthy. Looking forward to experiencing sex again. Did have some hair loss at first but that has stopped. Love this product. I am not sure if the vitamin E suppositories make the body naturally produce estrogen and progesterone, so I would say I'll stick to this product. Happy patient."

Intrarosa (dehydroepiandrosterone) for Dyspareunia "I have had vulva and vaginal atrophy for 4 years that cause me to be susceptible to infections very easily from the extreme dryness and rawness that I gave up on a lot activities I used to love including sex. Intrarosa has changed and saved my life. I can do so much more now and not constantly get UTIs. I am starting to feel normal again. Very east to use too!"

Intrarosa (dehydroepiandrosterone) for Dyspareunia "I have used Interosa for 9 months, because I had vaginal thinning and I burned down there. I was in so much pain before using Interosa. This drug has made my vaginal PH normal, and therefore less infections. I’m so happy with this product! Use the coupon with the insurance and only pay $35."

Intrarosa (dehydroepiandrosterone) for Dyspareunia "I was only able to use Intrarosa 3 weeks. Too much estrogen! It made my breasts VERY sore and swollen. My emotions were off the charts. Crying one minute and angry the next. I'm not an emotional person. At all. It took 2 months off Intrarosa to feel like myself again. No thank you."

Intrarosa (dehydroepiandrosterone) for Dyspareunia "This is an update to my earlier post in September. I am 58 and it has now been 3 months that I’ve been using Intrarosa for painful intercourse (due to menopause) and I have not experienced any change. I am so disappointed. I had really hoped this would work. I thought I would at least have some reduction in pain by now, but I feel no change. I will continue to use it for 1 more month just to ensure I’ve given it ample time to work, but I’ll discontinue after that if there’s still no change. I have had no side effects at all using the product, and it is so quick and simple to use. I had such optimism when I started using it and now I’m just feeling really disappointed."

Intrarosa (dehydroepiandrosterone) for Dyspareunia "I have been on Intrarosa for 5 months . There is a very good improvement with my vaginal atrophy/ GSM issues. But noticed a severe hair loss. Only now I realized it started very soon , after 5-6 weeks OF USE. Unfortunately I did not connect it with this. I stopped 3 days ago From other reviews I understand it will take time until my hair will grow back."

Intrarosa (dehydroepiandrosterone) for Dyspareunia "I am 63 years old. I read the reviews before using and thought I would try it for vaginal atrophy, low libido and bladder pain but no UTI. The first few nights I had insomnia and my doc said my body had to get used to it. First 30 days brought relief from dryness and no more bladder pain. Into the second month I gained 6 pounds and had to wear a larger bra due to swollen and tender breasts and larger underpants due to bloating that made me look 5 months pregnant! My hair was falling out and I was exhausted all the time. I quit at the end of 3 weeks into my second month and had withdrawal symptoms. I have always been sensitive to hormone therapy but thought I would try it since my doc said I would probably not experience any side effects. I finally feel like myself again and am in to my smaller size underwear. Never experienced any increase in libido. I’d caution anyone who is sensitive to hormone therapy to think twice before taking this- wish I had."

DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone) for Dietary Supplementation "I am a 70 year old naughty old man (my wife calls me that). I needed no ED assistance until I turned 65. DHEA helps make my weewee stay hard after arousal. Note: To me DHEA is a supplement not a medicine. I do not do drugs of any kind. I only take antibiotics for a temporary infection like a URTI. I do not take any other drugs even if my doctor tries to prescribe them. I use alternative healing methods like through the use of supplements instead, period, end of story."

Intrarosa (dehydroepiandrosterone) for Dyspareunia "I was prescribed this due to bladder leaking and stool leakage. My doctor told me that I have a minor rectocele, but he felt I was too young for surgery (51). After being on it for two weeks the bladder leakage is gone, but I was wondering if anyone else is have erotic dreams? FYI, still after 2 1/2 month I still have the leakage from my bowel. Next week I will start PT to see if that will help."

Intrarosa (dehydroepiandrosterone) for Dyspareunia "I tried Intrarosa (6.5 mg) for 4 and 1/2 months because I have vaginal dryness that causes painful intercourse. After trying it every nite for the 4 and half months, I found out IT DOES NOT WORK AT ALL! Do NOT buy this product! COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY! On top of that it is MESSY at night it get all over me and the bedsheets! It is a STUPID and VERY EXPENSIVE product! Amag Pharmaceuticals GO BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD AND MAKE A BETTER PRODUCT! My Carlson Vitamin E Suppositories work just as well and only cost $15 for a month supply. Whereas at Walgreens this GREEDY drug company wants $84 for a month supply AND IT DOES NOT WORK and is MESSY! I am REPORTING THIS BAD DRUG to the FDA (not that this DO-NOTHING agency will do anything). TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTED CONSUMER!"

Intrarosa (dehydroepiandrosterone) for Dyspareunia "I did not have any emotional hormonal swings as I have read some women having. I am 115 pound athletic woman but have hypertension which has been managed. But after two weeks my blood pressure went through the roof at nearly 200/104 With some nagging headache’s which could have been blood pressure or the medication. I do not have the headaches now after a week or a bit longer blood pressure went down into my normal ranges. I tried it again after three months and the blood pressure went up again to 176/98 it is definitely without a doubt the IntraRosa...Stroke scares me a bit more but not having sex LOL hot flashes picked up a bed but they are only annoying blood pressure was serious"

Intrarosa (dehydroepiandrosterone) for Dyspareunia "I'm up at 3:30AM! Wide awake. I've only taken Intrarosa 3 times. My lower stomach region hurts. I'm having racing thoughts. This only started since taking the insert. I'm so glad my obgyn gave me samples and I didn't have to pay for this awful experience. My samples are going in the trash!"

Intrarosa (dehydroepiandrosterone) for Dyspareunia "I have been using it now for 3 months only use 1/2 a night not the whole . I have noticed being blah. I use to have UITs every month and have not had one since starting this. I have started to gain weight, but not having a bladder infection is worth it so far? I have had low blood pressure, so I will have to see if it has gone up. The dripping to me is no big deal? It’s just at night for a while. I hate using any drug so this is hard for me but I hate UTIs"

Intrarosa (dehydroepiandrosterone) for Dyspareunia "I have been using Intrarosa for about 5 months. I think I am having an allergic reaction. There is too much oil running out, sex is still horrible, and I itches on the outside. I use it at bed time, but if I get dry doing the day, I am scratching myself raw. I have been dealing with dryness for 4 years and I just wants it to stop."

Intrarosa (dehydroepiandrosterone) for Dyspareunia "I have been using Intrarosa for a couple of months. I have not noticed any side effects. Before this sex was so painful it was miserable. Now it has improved somewhat. It still hurts, but not as bad. I’m hoping that with longer use, I will get to a point where it doesn’t hurt."

Intrarosa (dehydroepiandrosterone) for Dyspareunia "Prices of these products are just insane! Estring worked wonders but at $400 it was just too expensive. Tried this product and this one is also crazy at $100! Ask your provider for coupons, they have them but you have to ask. I went back to my pharmacy and got a $65 refund"

Intrarosa (dehydroepiandrosterone) for Dyspareunia "I have had bad luck using other hormone treatments. They tend to cause some pretty bad PMS symptoms, migraines, bleeding, a high level of agitation. This was supposed to not to that. I tried one dose and already have the lousy headache ( I only get this sort of headache when dealing with these hormonal medications or with PMS back in the day.) Maybe I just do not tolerate hormone type medications but the cure is much worse than the original problem. I will learn to live with my aging body."

DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone) for Dietary Supplementation "For about 2 years, I have been taking 25 mg of DHEA orally per day, and supplement with 10 mg transdermal cream a few times per week. My libido is better than it was in my 30s, and it has improved my energy and alertness. Aside from a few whitehead pimples on my nose and a bit of increase in fine facial hair (I defoliate my face at least weekly anyway), there are no negative side effects. I’m a 63 year old female who entered menopause 10 years ago. My sex drive completely evaporated for 4 years before I found DHEA. I occasionally use a small dose of my husband’s transdermal testosterone gel a few times per week as well. My marriage has improved remarkably with the revival of regular intimacy."

Intrarosa (dehydroepiandrosterone) for Dyspareunia "First night taking Intrarosa I experienced insomnia then abdominal cramping around 3 or 4 am. Thought maybe I had a stomach flu but felt better later in the morning. Second night, insomnia again and woke up at 4 am with severe abdominal cramps.… like I was in labor. Pain was so intense I considered going to the hospital, but got better later in the morning. Also had some mild bleeding and decided this was definitely not for me. Stopped taking this and symptoms went away. Didn’t see any on these symptoms listed as side effects of this drug, but was relieved to see others on this thread experienced the same. Also, expensive."

Intrarosa (dehydroepiandrosterone) for Dyspareunia "65 years old, I have IBS-C and diverticulosis, with vaginal atrophy. Tried Intrarosa for 7 nights, and yes the 4th day I tried sex, and it was much easier! But, on the 6th night I was up all night urinating and felt abdominal pressure, that urination did not alleviate. I did not sleep a wink and then the abdominal pain, which occurred on the 7th night almost immediately after insertion, I knew this is N/G for me! I don’t know if it is the oils, or hormone, that engaged my IBS-C and diverticulosis, but the pain was excruciating!! As well as severe urination."

Intrarosa (dehydroepiandrosterone) for Dyspareunia "I have only used Intrarosa for 13 days and am trying to decide whether to purchase it again after so many negative reviews here. I have not had any oily discharge (I use it at night before bed. After insertion, I do not get up out of the bed...I just go to sleep. Not sure if it helps with sex yet since I haven't tried that yet since I wanted to give it time to work. I have no problem opening the insert package. I lay a tissue on the bed and pull down the two flaps with both hands and let the insert fall on the tissue. I have the applicator open to activated and just insert the tab into the applicator. I find it very simple to use. I will report back about if it helped with sex."

Intrarosa (dehydroepiandrosterone) for Dyspareunia "I have been on Intrarosa for 3 months now, very little improvement with my vaginal atrophy/ GSM issues. No side effects noticed and I am one who is very sensitive to meds. I will say if you try it make sure you put it in right before bed, I got up to pee after I had it in about 45 minutes and it fell out into the toilet. It's not working for me , I will be switching to Yuvafem Estradiol Vaginal tablet tomorrow. I did have a $35.00 month coupon from Dr. For Intrarosa."
