Olux (clobetasol) for Psoriasis "Olux has been the only topical medication I've used that has been able to control the psoriasis on my scalp. Over the past few years, my condition has significantly worsened. However, since beginning to use Derma-Smoothe and Olux, I have been able to maintain a very healthy scalp. The Derma-Smoothe is fantastic for removing the initial buildup from psoriasis, while the Olux is a great for preventing its return. I only have to use Olux about once every 2 weeks, or at the first sign of any symptoms. Only downside is the high cost (since we have a high insurance deductible). However, I personally find it to be worth the money."

Temovate (clobetasol) for Eczema "Awful. I have eczema but my hands are very sensitive. My hands usually bleed and are scaly. Well this just made everything worse. I cried because the pain was so bad. I switched to Opzelura and my eczema is barely noticeable!!! STAY AWAY"

For Lichen Planus "This stuff (Clobetasol) is absolutely worthless for my condition, for one thing the dosage 0.05 is not strong enough, and my dermatologist claims that she can't get it any higher, but that is not what the Internet states. I'll give her one more chance to find something that works for, or I'm OUT!!! There are several more drugs that are available. I give Clobetasol a big fat "0". I've been suffering with this rubbish for almost two years."

For Psoriasis "I've had psoriasis since I was 9. It has gotten worse and worse over the years and I've used clobetasol since the start. I'm 18 now, I've always thought my veins popping out was a normal thing but I'm starting to think maybe my skin is thin. Clobetasol is the only medication that's ever worked. I've tried so many things it'd take me forever to name them all."

Dermovate (clobetasol) for Psoriasis "It wasn't prescribed to me in the US, mostly in Europe. I like the cream better than the ointment. Compared to the other treatments in its class, ID doesn't cause depigmentation and it's very fast absorbed. I only use clobetazol liquid for scalp and it works fine."

For Eczema "The cream works great on my eczema. However, this past year has been a little taxing on my budget, as I have had 6 tubes of clobetasol go bad before opening. I have had them turn to goo, unable to use. The co-pays are getting out of control, as I have to pay for a new one and not get it replaced."

Olux (clobetasol) for Dermatitis "Olux is a mousse that is massaged into the psoriasis on the scalp. After using this 2x per day for approximately 3 wks I no longer am using T-Gel 3x a week. I'm back to using my old shampoo. No itching or flaking of the scalp. It's so easy to use, too."

For Dermatological Disorders "I had this incredibly itchy rash on my right shin. It became raised and beet red. Dermatologist D.O. (only derm around me) had no idea, nor did my PCP or Rheum drs. It went on for months. It took the Derm's DO's PA to finally dx me with Chronic Venous Insufficiency. It wasn't just a rash on the outside. It was coming from the inside. The veins in my legs where having great difficulty pumping my blood back up my legs. I elevate a lot, getting my legs above my heart. Who knew that a rash, the itchiest I've ever had, was related to my blood flow! I think there are others out there with the same thing that's going undiagnosed. Clobetasol and elevation are the only tools right now to deal with this. My insurance just took Clobetasol off it's formulary. Now I have to pony up the cash every month to keep me from wanting to cut the skin off. Thank God for Clobetasol and a really good PA who finally dx it!"

Olux (clobetasol) for Dermatitis "I've always had dermatitis on my scalp and face, but the rashes on my body started out as allergic dermatitis after it reacted to an antibiotic called Vancomycin. But then even after all my antibiotics, the rashes kept getting worse and worse. I got a biopsy done, and the results were that I had psoriasis form of dermatitis, which is similar to psoriasis. At first the dermatologist prescribed Clobex, but it only worked on my arms. I still use the Clobex shampoo for my scalp. After that, the dermatologist told me to try Olux. I've been using Olux for a couple of weeks now, and my body is clearing up, especially my back and thighs."

Clobex (clobetasol) for Psoriasis "After a very bad breakout from a strep infection, this was the only thing that stopped the itch! After using this twice a day for a week (along with UV treatments), I started seeing my psoriasis clear up. And the spray is so much easier to apply."

Olux (clobetasol) for Psoriasis "The only really effective remedy for my scalp psoriasis. I used Scalpicin but it turned my white hair yellow-ish and I had to keep using it almost every day. Olux for three days and my scalp is clear and not itchy for 2-3 weeks!"

For Atopic Dermatitis "Poison ivy: I've been using the clobetasol gel for canker sores on my mouth for years! I put some on as soon as one starts to develop and after a couple of applications (especially before bed) they do not develop. All of my family and friends that get canker sores also use it with the same success that I have!"

For Psoriasis "The cream version is very effective. Used it for 5 days, as recommended, twice a day and all my itching bumpy skin on my hands stopped. Don't use it for longer, as it will thin the skin and cause stretch marks. Side effects differ individually, so use it with care and stop it whenever symptoms are calmed down, or continue using any moisturizing cream thereafter. Give long gaps or use it again when symptoms appear... Remember, this has a direct effect on your adrenal glands, so use with extreme care and wash hands thoroughly afterwards..."

For Atopic Dermatitis "This treatment is very potent and was very effective for me! I think it is significantly stronger than normal steroids so I never used it for the eczema on my face. However, for the discoid eczema that I've been dealing with for around a year on my hands, arms and legs, it has been very effective at tackling any breakouts or severe redness and scaliness. For me I can normally work see the effects overnight but I find it to be most effective if used for 3-5 days (making sure to use emollients meanwhile) and then to stop for a week or whenever next needed. Definitely recommend if a weaker steroid is not working!"

Clobex (clobetasol) for Psoriasis "Clobex is in shampoo form. I use that weekly. Need 2 tsp. Lathers up really well. I leave the shampoo on for a few hours then rinse. This is a great maintenance first me between the spray applications- I apply the spray on wet hair/scalp so it stretches the product more bc it's expensive."

Olux (clobetasol) for Psoriasis "This IS the only stuff that works. My Uncle was a Dermatologist and I have tried everything that had ever come out on the market. I was without insurance for a time and couldn't get Olux (couldn't afford it) and I had a severe outbreak. After finally getting a prescription, it was gone within 2 weeks."

For Seborrheic Dermatitis "I tried this topical medication on my scalp for 5 days. No reaction first two days then extreme itching day 3 followed by horrible/on fire burning sensation. Upside - did not have to wash hair every day. Was switched to fluocinolide and have had no issues. Downside - have to wash hair daily due to oil based med."

For Dermatological Disorders "I had this strange itchy condition on my legs and sometimes forearms. The Dermatologist gave this to me after I tried over the counter that didn't work. I don't think this works much better than the neosporin "cream" (not gel). The Neosporin gives me immediate relief it just doesn't last long. Jury is out with this stuff. I put on for first time last night but still had bouts of itching on corners of foot, ankle, thigh and forearms. I am not sure what is going on with me. I live in California and hike a lot. I get scaly red itchy top of ankles and slight rashy bumps on legs Itches like crazy then will subside. I now have sores from scratching. With all the reviews I thought I'd get an obvious result of something - I don't feel much different. I still itch. So this isn't much better than my neosporin cream I use."

For Psoriasis "Awesome product!!! According to my dermalogist, I had a severe case of psoriasis on the hands, feet, knees and elbows a total of 7% of my body area. All cleared up except the front of the feet within 3 weeks, so down to 2.5% in 6 weeks. The doctor had explained that it would take longer on the feet and I'm ok with it... I love the results... the price however is another story. I don't have insurance and one bottle of the spray is $400 help!!!"

"I broke out on my knee in 2014, by 2015 it had engulfed my leg. I was sent to a very well-renowned hospital's Dermatology unit, and they had no idea what it was. They tried corticosteroids, antifungals, etc., but nothing worked even slightly. A friend had some clobetasol and told me to try it, and like a miracle, within hours the change was noticeable. So a year ago, when it happened on both legs, slowly engulfing them, I spoke to my doctor, told him about the glory that is Clobetasol Propionate, and he prescribed Dupixent, a painful, bi-weekly shot in my stomach for four months before we may see results. As soon as I began Dupixent, my legs became fully engulfed, as if fueled by the Dupixent. I told the doctor, and he said to ride it out. At the end, when I looked half lizard, I again requested Clobetasol Propionate, and he agreed. One week later and it is all gone. As far as I'm concerned, this stuff is a miracle of divine proportions, lol."

For Eczema "This product, from what I've seen, does clear dark spots from the skin condition. Regular use, as noted, is not recommended as it will thin the skin. Do not use on open sores. It works almost like a fading ointment that clears dark spots after the healing has begun."

For Lichen Planus "I got lichen planus starting this summer season. Biopsy confirmed. I take 2 different blood pressure meds. One a beta-blocker which I read can cause this. Dermatologist says he has a pill for this. I was supposed to get off the bp meds and I did for about 2 weeks per med. He says 8 weeks off bp meds. Mom died of a stroke in the ‘90s. So I’m trying again going off metoprolol for 8 weeks. So, I didn’t get the pill cause I’m still on bp meds. He asked me about coming back, I told him no, I’ll try again for 8 weeks without bp meds. Metoprolol is an added med for my main blood pressure med and it does help. So I risk a stroke to try to rid myself of this stuff. Clobetasol 15g tube lasted one week, no help, Fluocinolone no help. Used creams about a month. Going to try Emuaid max. strength. I did get off my cholesterol med. That did help for the itching, which isn’t as intense as it used to be. CeraVe itch jar cream helps too."
