For Kidney Infections "I got put on cephalexin for an untreated UTI which obviously spread to my kidneys, I am current on day 3 and I do feel so much better kidney pain and urinating wise, but it gives me insane dirrahea, makes me feel very nauseous, makes me confused with really bad anxiety, and gives me killer heartburn. I am currently on 500mg 4 times a day"

For Bacterial Infection "Brilliant drug. I like it so much better than Cipro. Worked fast, no problems at all. I hope to use it again if there is another UTI. I feel like my old self again, and there are a few left to take."

For Skin or Soft Tissue Infection "Bartholin's cyst infection. 500mg 4 times per day 10 days. Instantly cleared infection in 2 days but experiencing severe abdominal cramps, fever, shakes, lack of appetite. Wish I didn't have to keep taking the rest."

For Bacterial Infection "I had a combination of an infection after an extraction as well as skin infection that hurt very bad (both things). I was prescribed 500 mg of cephalexin every 6 hours. By the second day they were both feeling so much better. I was hesitant because I've had allergic reactions of other Antibiotics and a severe reaction to bactrim. Thankfully nothing like that with this medication, but it does cause a very inconvenient stomach upset that causes me to have to get to the bathroom in a hurry throughout the day. I have noticed I'm more tired, I'm not sure if that's a side effect from the medication alone or because of having to use the bathroom so often. But, I push through the negatives because it has done wonders for the infections."

Keflex (cephalexin) for Skin or Soft Tissue Infection "I had a tooth that broke off while eating pretzels well as time goes by no real problems with it, however it made the tooth next to it get loose & agitated it becomes an infection I get put on Keflex 500 mg three times a day for seven days for the infection I have taken this medication before after two days the infection starts to go away my mouth feels better. I’m not in pain anymore however, the night terrors, hallucinations, & anxiety. The night terrors are morbid they are something out of the “ Saw “ movies! If you have any mental disorders or any small underline ones I recommend you do not take this medication Bc it WILL MAKE YOU CRAZY!"

Keflex (cephalexin) for Skin or Soft Tissue Infection "This medication gave me really bad travelling gas with cold sweats and made me very nauseous on the very first pill! I might ask my doctor to replace this medication for something else. I find it very strong, especially for a mild skin infection due to a spider bite!"

For Bacterial Infection "I had a hair follicle infection on the top of my head and the bump from it being infected got to be the size of a ping-pong ball and so they put me on 500mg of Keflex 4 times a day. It took 4 days for the medicine to take effect and it totally wiped the infection away. At first I didn't think it was going to work I had pus and blood coming out that thing it was totally gross and this drug is a miracle drug if you think about a hundred years ago people would die from stuff like that"

Keflex (cephalexin) for Upper Respiratory Tract Infection "Being a person with cancer in remission and following health problems- COPD, Bronchiectasis, Chronic Bronchitis, Emphysema, Chronic Sinus and ear infection, odd UTI at odd times. I passed out during the night and woke up on the floor and could not get up off the floor or walk - not Covid. After roughly four to five trips by ambulance to hospital and various drug treatments with relapses now and again my GP put me on low dose 250 mg Keflex to take one tablet every night and since that day have never had to go back to hospital or have not passed out again. So possibly l may now be helped with bacterial infections, and I can only speak of my personal experience but for me this is a wonder drug. I do realize that bacteria become immune to antibiotics but as far as I know I have had no adverse side effects. Antibiotics have come a long way, since I was a child. My age is now seventy nine years of age. I do not have diabetes or heart problems, mainly lung problems and do not smoke."

For Kidney Infections "Taken two rounds of antibiotic cephalexin for a UTI. Whilst it does appear to be helping the infection, I’m depressed, jittery, severely anxious, joint and muscle aches , dehydrated and sunken eyes!!! Nightmares and adrenaline. It is so awful. I cannot wait to finish this drug."

For Bladder Infection "I took cephalexin 500 for ten days following a 5 day stay at my local hospital (with IV antibiotics) for a bladder infection. It did nothing for my infection. But I did get a few nasty side effects. Diarrhea, nightmares, and muscle pain. This medication did not work for me."

For Bacterial Infection "I started this cephalexin antibiotic to prevent infection after having a tummy tuck. After three days I developed dizziness/vertigo, slight confusion and being tired. It felt almost like I slept in too much all the time, kind of foggy. At first I hashed it up to the major surgery I just had but after awhile I started to panic. I called the surgeon’s office and they recommended that I come off of the pain meds I had been given. It’s been days without pain meds but I’m still feeling really out of it and dizzy. I found that this could be a symptom of this antibiotic. I took my last one today so I will be back to update everyone on whether it goes away or not. I really hope it does."

For Bladder Infection "Given these 500g x3 times a day capsules at the same time of suffering horrendous morning sickness. They smell horrendous and I threw up ten minutes after taking one and it burned the back of my throat and absolutely stunk making me feel even worse. They seemed to clear up my bladder infection after two days but I'm counting down every last tablet as they are huge. But yeah they are good if you don't mind taking huge tablets."

For Skin or Soft Tissue Infection "my Doctor as soon as I start to see the onset of one of these cyst and he goes ahead and prescribes me Cephalexin 500mg capsules. And they don't even form into what looks like a little bug bite. And again it's gone in under two days. Cause I'm not sure I could deal with another Mount St. Helena cyst like before. It disrupted everything I did. It made it hard to sleep, just sit there, putting tops on FOR SURE, walking, dancing, being goofy with my kids, and much much more. So for me Cephalexin is a miracle working drug. It's freed up a lot of my life from so much pain and allowed me to be the real me again! :). <3"

For Skin or Soft Tissue Infection "Hi, It's a wonder drug. I had an infection on my acne and my cheek was swollen. The doctor prescribed me with cephalexin 500mg for four times a day for 7 days. It works very quickly. Within some hour, the deep purple inflammation completely subside. And the swelling has reduced drastically. I was amazed..... On top of it I got also Fucidin cream to apply on the effected area. Cephalexin works with wonder !"

Keflex (cephalexin) for Skin or Soft Tissue Infection "With only 4 doses of 500 mg in 3 days instead of 3 a day, my symptoms got progressively worse. Blurred vision, dizziness, rash, leg pain and swelling, heat sensations in legs, muscle pain, back pain, swelling and pain in stomach, and extreme fatigue. Stopped taking and reported adverse reaction to pharmacy and will tell doctor. Very glad I did not take full dose. Use with caution if you are sensitive to meds."

For Bladder Infection "I'm 24 weeks an 4 days pregnant.. My doctor prescribed me this medicine.. I haven't had any side effects.. I'm on the 4th day of taking it.. Everything going good..The only bad thing is the smell, I about get sick because of it."

For Skin or Soft Tissue Infection "Was prescribed Keflex for a minor but painful infection as a result of an ingrown toenail. Took 250mg 3x/day for seven days and saw results after one day. Only side effect was acid reflux immediately after taking pill. I also take probiotics everyday so that may have helped to prevent other side effects."

For Bladder Infection "Got a UTI. Dr gave me macrobid at first and I was so dizzy and nauseas that I couldnt work., after he called in cephalexin I immediately felt better, infact the first two days I felt great. The next 5 days I was tired, but that has been the only side effect. This is my last day of it. I do think I got a yeast infection, despite taking some probiotics, though I forgot on 2 days. I used monistat last night, just incase. I usually have such horrid symptoms with any antibiotics that I'm glad this one didn't give me bad side effects... I'll Def request it again if needed. In the meanwhile I'll go back to d-mannose, which does an amazing job at preventing UTI's."

Keflex (cephalexin) for Skin or Soft Tissue Infection "I had a blister that got infected from wearing tight boots for a few hours and then then I had it! I got an infection so I went to the nurse and got me some pills of Keflex for 4X a day for five days and an antibiotic cream. I feel much better. Don't ever wear tight shoes, ever."

For Bladder Infection "I have been on these antibiotics for 5 days now and so far so good in clearing the infection of cystitis. I am no longer in agony, however, i starting getting diarrhea straight away which has lasted so far the 5 days. Rumbling in my stomach and also then very bad wind and burping which smells very much like eggs. Not the best side effect for anyone around."

For Kidney Infections "I’m a healthy 20 year old female who took this drug for about 4 days before having to call it quits. I’m 9 weeks pregnant at the moment. Not sure if that was making this worse or not, but I had the WORST fatigue I’ve ever experienced. I was physically unable to get out of bed other than to use the bathroom and shower. My body felt extremely heavy and I was very confused and out of it. It make me nausea I was already experiencing 10 times worse. I ended up having a severe episode of heart racing for about 10 minutes on the 4th day. Blood pressure shot up to 150 and pulse got high. I threw this away. Listen to your body. I know it’s important to finish medications but when the side effects are this bad this is dangerous. Since my urine has completely stopped burning and it’s clear again, I have made another appointment with my doctor to confirm my infection is gone. Home tests came back negative. If not, I will request something else because this was AWFUL."

For Bacterial Infection "I'm a healthy female in my mid-60s. On February 2020 I came down with a flu-like cold that got incrementally worse. Initially, my doctor prescribed Amoxicillin but it didn't work at all. I continued getting high fever at night and coughing constantly. After 6 weeks of this I returned to the doctor and this time he prescribed Cephalexin for 10 days. After the 2nd dosage I felt 100% better. It was like taking a miracle drug. I didn't experience any side effects. I will always insist on this antibiotic because it works. I paid for my prescription out of pocket: $10.61 for qty. of 30."

For Skin or Soft Tissue Infection "Had bad reaction all the way. Within 15 minutes of taking, experienced shortness of breath, dizziness, diarrhea, throwing up, shakiness, full blown rash/hives, cold/chills, confusion, slurred speech, rapid heart rate, ringing in the ears, extreme tiredness."

For Skin or Soft Tissue Infection "My son had a small skin infection on his cheek near his eye, so he was on this medicine and he thought he was losing his mind. The side effects are damaging for this drug. Now it is still in his system as he struggles to not go crazy. This is a horrible drug."

For Skin or Soft Tissue Infection "I have chronic folliculitis that has left scars on my lower legs. Twice I was prescribed topical ointments by a dermatologist that did nothing. My primary doctor prescribed Keflex and the results were amazing. Now every time I have flare up from shaving during the summer months, I request Keflex. I do not experience any side effects. I try not to shave as often, use good and clean razors, but the Keflec has been what helps me the most."
