Libtayo (cemiplimab) "I've been on Libtayo since June 2022. Every 3 weeks. It's working very well and the main side effect is the horrible itching just about everywhere. I had BCC very badly. My oncologist said it was the worst case he had ever seen in his career. I was seeing a dermatologist at first and he had me on pill-based chemotherapy (Erivedge, I think) that was horrible, and it did not work after 10 months. I lost 40 lbs and felt like I was dying. As the sores turned into tumors, he gave up and sent me to an oncologist and then I had to have incision surgery to remove the tumors. The BCC had gone onto my skin very deep and was a major concern. The Libtayo was a lifesaver for sure. The schedule is for 2 years of treatment. I'm 18 months into treatment and doing well. I get CT scans every 12 weeks to monitor progress, which the doctor says I'm responding to very well. The itching has been my only problem, and Fexofenadine helps with it."
