Drysol (aluminum chloride hexahydrate) for Hyperhidrosis "I'm 24 and have sweat through the armpits of my shirts since puberty. Clinical strength/aluminum chloride products don't work. Every time I go clothing shopping, I think "will this show my sweat?" Finally, I told my dermatologist what I had tried already to reduce my underarm sweating, and she prescribed Drysol for me. THIS STUFF IS AMAZING. The first day I wore a tight shirt without sweating through it, I almost cried. I am using it every night (not after showering or shaving) with very minimal irritation. To anyone who suffers from hyperhydrosis of the underarms, I say this: thanks to Drysol, I just wore a tight gray long-sleeved shirt to a party. No sweat marks."

Drysol (aluminum chloride hexahydrate) for Hyperhidrosis "I began sweating as soon as I started college- probably from the mass amount of stress I'm always under. Any who, this product is amazing. I literally would be sitting in a normal temperature room and sweat would just be streaming from my arm pits down the sides of my body. I started using this and from day 1, absolutely no sweat. Not even at the gym. It does sting a little bit, but as far as I'm concerned, a little bit of stinging far outweighs the low self confidence, paranoia, and constant clamminess of my body. I 100% recommend this product to anyone."

Drysol (aluminum chloride hexahydrate) for Hyperhidrosis "I remember the first time I used Drysol on my armpits, it was one of the worst and most uncomfortable things I’d ever felt...there was burning and itching and the sensation of needles randomly pricking into my skin. I actually had to wash it off after about 20 min because I couldn’t handle the extreme discomfort anymore. I have very fair and sensitive skin, so I’m guessing Drysol affects everybody differently. But for the people with more sensitive skin, like myself, there’s help for us! I did a little more research on Drysol and someone recommended using it with Caladryl Clear Lotion and I can’t tell you how much of a difference that made! I apply the Drysol to my armpits or face and let it dry as much as possible and then slather a thick layer of Caladryl over the top of it. I sometimes still get slight itching and burning but usually I can just put more Caladryl on and it’ll go away for the most part. This medication is like a miracle drug!"

Drysol (aluminum chloride hexahydrate) for Hyperhidrosis "I originally was prescribed Drysol over a year ago but after reading about the side effects (rash, stinging, itching) I was too afraid to use it. Well after years of dealing with excessive armpit sweat I decided to give it a try. I bought a lot of black shirts. I'm not going to lie it definitely stings and itches pretty bad. But it's so so worth it. After two applications I went for a hard run and I was sweating everywhere else from my body EXCEPT my armpits. It's truly a miracle. I can't tell you how freeing it feels to be able to go out in public wearing a yellow shirt with sleeves and not having to worry about sweating. Give it a try!"

Certain Dri (aluminum chloride hexahydrate) for Hyperhidrosis "I have used this for 6 years and it really works. I used to have wet arm pits all the time, and not only is it embarassing, but it ruins my clothes. Put this on at night, generously, and I promise the next day you will remain dry, and confident! I don't even have to use it every night.......I only use it every 3 nights!"

Hypercare (aluminum chloride hexahydrate) for Hyperhidrosis "This product is AMAZING !! I am a 13 year old and I have been sweating a lot since 6th grade. I told my mom a week ago that I cant take sweating anymore. So embarrassing in school. No one really notices me sweating because I would always wear a jacket even in the summer time! So I called my doctor and she told me she would prescribe Hypercare. Well I used it the first night and wow the nest morning I didn't sweat a bit. I can wear any color now but every night I put it on it burns or itches but mostly itches. It's worth it trust me. So thank you so much Hypercare and yes I do recommend it to anybody who sweats a lot."

Certain Dri (aluminum chloride hexahydrate) for Hyperhidrosis "I suffered with hyperhidrosis for years. I could be shivering cold and my armpits would still be pouring sweat. Wearing gray was out of the question! Then I found an antiperspirant containing aluminum chloride: Not to be overdramatic...but it changed my life! At first, I dealt with the unbearable itching and irritation. After a while, I learned to use less and only apply it at night. After a couple months of daily use, I reduced to every other day...then every few days...and after a year I eventually just stopped using it because the problem seemed to disappear completely. That was 15 years ago! To this day I still do not sweat under my arms unless I'm really exerting myself...and still it's such a small amount. Less than "normal" people."

Certain Dri (aluminum chloride hexahydrate) for Hyperhidrosis "I have used certain dri for probably about 20 years. it stopped my underarm sweating. which was the worst for me. I still have sweating on hands and feet but I so can deal with that. Right now I've burned my underarms with it and am wondering if I will be able to continue using it. I don't want to stop using it and it ever start again. I wonder if others have had similar issues with it. It was almost like a miracle to me when I stumbled upon it it so many years ago."

Hypercare (aluminum chloride hexahydrate) for Hyperhidrosis "I have suffered from excessive underarm sweating since hitting puberty. It was very discouraging. Many girls my age would have the absolute cutest outfit and I however could not wear it because it would show my sweat stains almost immediately. I would wear light colored shirts so that you could not see them quickly. Or large shirts. Layers of shirts. It did not matter if it was 100 degrees or 30 degrees, I would sweat profusely. I tried many things. I finally discovered this product and no longer have to worry about my sweating. I no longer feel the need to constantly hide my underarms. I can wear anything I want to wear. I have been using this product for over 3 years now and at 24, I have finally overcome my excessive sweating."

Drysol (aluminum chloride hexahydrate) for Hyperhidrosis "I sincerely recommend this product to any individual suffering from hyperhydrosis. All throughout my childhood I suffered from excessive sweating on my scalp and underarms. For those of you who've felt publicly victimized by this condition, you are not alone. WARNING to first time users: I would recommend using the regular 12% or mild 6.5% Aluminum chloride formula initially. I myself initially utilized the extra strong formula which contained 20% Aluminum chloride and during the first night of application I genuinely felt the most excruciating pain I have ever experienced in my entire life! Start off with the less concentrated formulas or start applying small amounts initially and gradually increase the amount being applied. TRUST ME!"

Hypercare (aluminum chloride hexahydrate) for Hyperhidrosis "Life changing. I am a 30 yr old female. I have suffered from excessive sweating since I was at least 13. I have never told anyone about it. Somehow I managed grade school, high school, college, work and hid it. I don't shake hands and I always wear dark shirts. My areas are hands, feet and underarms. I'm married now and somehow for the most part avoided holding hands with my husband. I have a 2 year old daughter now and I was determined to find something that worked so I would never feel like I couldn't hold her hand. I saw a dermatologist for the for the first time ever on April 23rd. The next day I didn't sweat a drop. Today is day 2 and I have no words for the relief I feel. I feel normal. I feel like my silent suffering is over."

Hypercare (aluminum chloride hexahydrate) for Hyperhidrosis "This medication it's Amazing! Since I was about 15 I have sweated on my back like crazy! Always having to wear a undershirt to try and hide it. In the last few years I started to sweat like crazy around my forehead. Just sitting doing nothing sweat would pour down my face and back. Stopped going places because I was so mortified by it. I asked my doctor for help and he prescribed Hypercare. Didn't like it at first because it burned so much. I kept using it every night and for a week and the burning has stopped. I no longer wear under shirts. I can go any where now and I no longer sweat at all. It's been a huge life changer. It's a freedom that I can't explain unless you have suffered from Hyperhidrosis."

Drysol (aluminum chloride hexahydrate) for Hyperhidrosis "I am 30 and have suffered from hyperhidrosis ever since I can remember. Like most I over sweat primarily from hands, feet, and underarms. I would sweat so much that you could see it all over my shirt at the underarms. My hands would be clamy which was especially problematic when I had to touch somebody such as shaking or holding hands. Sometimes I'd even get my papers wet from the sweat (people tend to look at you almost with disgust when this happens). All this, of course, lead to lesser self esteem. Finally, a few months ago, I decided to be brave and talk to my doctor about it. She recommended and prescribed Drysol which has changed my life. It started working within just a few days and has resolved my problem. I now use it every two to three days and no sweat. My side effcts are that it causes itching sometimes and dry skin at the application sights. So I use Cortizone on days when I'm not using Drysol which helps tremendously with these side effects."

Drysol (aluminum chloride hexahydrate) for Hyperhidrosis "I sweat mostly everywhere. Pits aren't the only place. It's my face, chest, back of my thighs, groin area, hands, feet... you get it. I've been like this since puberty n it got a lot worse (of course) after I started working out regularly. I use Drysol mostly on my armpits maybe twice a week n I don't sweat at all. I apply it very lightly n only directly where I actually perspire from (the center of my pit) n then rub it around a little by doing a circular funky chicken-like movement. For everywhere else I only use it maybe once a month, it's effective for a couple of days. For my face (forehead, nose, n very lightly above my upper lip), I use a cotton ball as the applicator dispenses too much at a time. The itchiness is killer tho!!!!!"

Drysol (aluminum chloride hexahydrate) for Hyperhidrosis "When I was in middle school it is hard if you have hyperhidrosis. Your self confidence is way low and I can NEVER wear shirts without a jacket over it to hide the pit stains. It really did suck. I started using drysol in the sixth grade because of my excessive sweating and it's been helping ever sense. The first week of using it, there is going to be itching but after a few days it should be fine. Do not use it after shaving or don't put too much on and that's what will cause the burning sensation everyone's talking about. Use a small amount, dry it via air or a hair dryer and you should be fine to go to bed. There is no point in using this product every single night. I suggest it!"

Drysol (aluminum chloride hexahydrate) for Hyperhidrosis "Okay: typical story. I would cry because I couldn't wear red, and so on and so forth. Anyway, I'm currently on day three of using this. Night one: it burned and itched a bit but nothing major, and the next day- you guessed it- no sweating. Zip. Zilch. Played ping pong for literally 2 hours and was dry as the Sahara. Night two: I showered and, without thinking, shaved, dried off thoroughly and applied the Drysol. I was shaking. My armpits felt like the fricken sun and I was considering writing my will. Day two: my pits hurt so bad that I couldn't lift my arms. Night three: showered, but definitely didn't shave. Burns unbelievably, and itches like sandpaper, but I believe that's because I basically slaughtered my sweat glands by shaving."

Drysol (aluminum chloride hexahydrate) for Hyperhidrosis "I’ve had an excessive sweating and odor problem since I was 13 (I’m 22). After trying every home remedy and clinical strength antiperspirant, I asked my doctor about Drysol. She prescribed it and it has changed my life! I can now wear t-shirts and bright clothes without worrying about pit stains and odor. The day of my first application, I sweat a little less than normal. I continued the recommended applications for the first 3 days. After that, my sweating decreased more, but I still wasn’t getting the results I wanted. I applied it every 3rd day for about 2 weeks. At the end of the second week, my sweating was under control. I stopped sweating as much even during exercise! I now apply it once 10-14 or so days. I’ve realized that it burns when you’re using too much. The instructions say don’t use any other antiperspirant or deodorant during use, but I apply a aluminum-free deodorant daily between applications. Try it, you won’t be disappointed!"

Drysol (aluminum chloride hexahydrate) for Hyperhidrosis "I have had Hyperhidrosis since I was young, it started at 15, and now 69 . I suffered with this condition all my life, only shirts that hid the wetness, I used this when I was 30 for a week, it stopped the sweating under my arms for years. I have not used it for over 40 years. I still have not had any under arm sweating. However I have suffered 10 years of sweating on upper body mostly chest, face, neck. I went to dermatologist, asked for a prescription Drysol I put it on under arms, my entire chest area, sides of upper body first night, yes it was itchy its worth it. I used petroleum jelly on the areas that itched a lot, it helped. The next night I put some on my neck areas also some areas on my face, some areas of my neck was quite itchy but worth it,, I do not know why I haven't used this product again until now, it has totally kept my upper body from sweating. I am now looking forward to going back to wearing shirts of any color and not be embarrassed to be around people again."

Drysol (aluminum chloride hexahydrate) for Hyperhidrosis "I am glad my dermatologist prescribed this for me to use on my armpits. Initially, I tried using it once a day and it broke me out and I had the itchy-stinging side effect. From thereon, I learned to use it about every 2 days and it keeps me dry along with another prescribed topical treatment. I also use Drysol for my oily face and it works! It calms my oily glands and it produces less oil especially on my nose. If you use Drysol on your face, test it on a small area of your face with a cottonball. I don't use it everyday on my face. I only use it once a week on my face and every other day on my nose. My results were minimal oil production on my face and no need to blot my face throughout the day."

Drysol (aluminum chloride hexahydrate) for Hyperhidrosis "I suffered from excessive sweating since I was about 12 years old. I'll never forget it. It was WINTER and I took off my coat and saw sweat under my arms through my sweater. This continued for YEARS. It was embarrassing. Being nervous definitely increased this issue. When I reached about 20 years old, I was using paper towels under my shirts, attached to my bras. Summer time was dreaded. I was miserable. I owned tons of black shirts. In the summer I'd walk one block and my armpits would be drenched. Now, to be perfectly honest, I am a beautiful woman. Mixed race, slim, nice hair, light eyes... But no matter what, the sweating made me want to hide. Indoors. All the time. Just sitting still made me sweat. It was horrible."

Hypercare (aluminum chloride hexahydrate) for Hyperhidrosis "I have never done a review like this but I feel I should. I have had a major pit sweating problem for the last yr or so. Went to the Dr yesterday for an unrelated issue. While there I brought up the underarm sweating issue I've been having. I assumed he'd say to change my diet or change soaps, etc. instead he prescribed this for me. I picked up the prescription that night and went home to try it. I was absolutely amazed. Immediately after I cleaned and applied, no more sweating. None. Zippo. Nada. Today, just one day after first application I've been dry as a bone all day. All day I've been checking and couldn't believe I was still dry. Amazing stuff. I'm blown away. Thought this was just something I'd have to deal with, but I guess not."

I couldn't wear cute sandals because my feet would slip and slide. I couldn't hold my husband's hand without drenching his. I am now 32, live in hot/humid Florida so finally decided to ask my dermatologist what can help. I used this stuff twice on my feet and was AMAZED that I wore sandals and did not slip out of them - total life changer."

Drysol (aluminum chloride hexahydrate) for Hyperhidrosis "Wow, Drysol has been a game changer for me! I've been very insecure about my underarm odor and finally asked the doc if anything could be done. He prescribed Drysol and I had my doubts it would work. I've been using it for a few weeks now and it's been a miracle worker! I will say, it has some downsides. It itches like crazy and burned a few times I've used it. I put aloe on it and that calmed the itching and burning. So if it itches and burns I suggest applying some aloe for relief. The good far outweighs the bad though and I'm happy I found this!"

Drysol (aluminum chloride hexahydrate) for Hyperhidrosis "In 1988 I went to my doctor for something unrelated to my excessive sweating. When we were finished, he asked if there was anything else. That's when I mentioned my extreme underarm sweating and how I ruined shirts and jackets. He directed me to Drysol, which does not require a prescription in Ontario. I have been using it for over 25 years and confirm that it does the job. I have never had even a bit of wetness. I put it on about every two weeks. A small bottle costs about $22 and lasts at least 2 years. Yes, it does burn and itch at times due to the aluminum chloride, but it's a small price to pay. Make sure you wash the treated area next morning with soap and water. A little talcum or baby powder afterwards takes away any clammy feeling."
