Edex (alprostadil) for Erectile Dysfunction "I tried Edex twice with no results. I got better results with Caverjet, but it hasn't been available. Both times I got a little sting when I used it, but I was use to that from the Caverjet. With Edex 20mcg not working and Caverject not available, I'm stuck (no pun intended). Viagra stopped working about 1 year ago."

Edex (alprostadil) for Erectile Dysfunction "The last FOUR EDEX injections I used did NOT work; they just made me SWOLLEN! with NO stiffness at all! You would think, that something so expensive would work!! IT works on one's ego and self confidence is really hard to deal with,...not to mention embarrassing! SO,...Why are they not working?"

Caverject (alprostadil) for Erectile Dysfunction "Being overweight caused the absence of love making for the past few years due to ED issues. I started using caverject 20mlin the past couple of months (approx 16 times) and its difficult to see what I'm doing during injection time and using a mirror as a guide is something I'm not good at and never have been. Why the medication isnt working could be that the injections are missing their target. Either I'm going to deep or not deep enough I feel. How does one know when you are in the sweet spot that it's supposed to land in?"

For Erectile Dysfunction "I have been using alprostadil 20mg. I find the single injection pack takes a lot longer to use and puts you off with changing needles etc. With the new dual chamber units with the screw tops so much quicker and easier."

For Erectile Dysfunction "At age 72, I had a TURP procedure that solved frequent urination but left me with a worse case of ED. Chemical therapy worked less than ideal. Now using aprostadil 100% of time and well pleased. Erection became slightly curved which took some adjustment to allow full entry for my wife, and there is slight pain, but far outweighs the benefit. One drawback is I must purchase 5 vials at a time and 3-4 injections per vial and shelf life is too short, even when freezing unopened vial."

Caverject (alprostadil) for Erectile Dysfunction "It’s been 5 years since I started using it 20mg now and then. At the beginning I needed less than 1/4 to get 4 hours erection, now whole injection barely work. Wondering if anxiety and depression affect its performance or its performance has been causing me anxiety and a depression. Anyway, too much life hassle to maintain a sexual life, I’m losing interest in sex cos it has become too complicated."

For Erectile Dysfunction "My boyfriend has blood pressure issues and was in a bad car accident which cause his ED. Pills didn't work. For 3 years we didn't have sex. He spent 2 at a men's clinic on the injection meds and I am so damn disappointed. It causes us both numbing and I can't even tell when he's in me. It does get hard but not hard enough for penetration half the time. I just hate it so bad. It also causes him penile soreness. Neither of us can orgasm and I long for the days when we didn't have to go through this. It's a chore and not pleasurable at all."

Edex (alprostadil) for Erectile Dysfunction "Edex doesn’t work for me. I’ve tried up 40 mg and the results are disappointing. It does cause prolonged penile pain lasting for hours. I haven’t used Edex for several months now and the penile pain is still there at times. I don’t recommend this treatment at all."

For Erectile Dysfunction "Fabulous stuff. I'm 71 with no prostate and total surgical nerve destruction. Unaided erections are nearly impossible. But one MUSE injector capsule and my johnson is harder than stale bread for up to two hours. There is slight discomfort but nothing serious. I don't recall the firmness of my youthful erections, but MUSE is easily providing erection on demand. Orgasm is severely delayed because of nerve destruction. But simply having erections again after 9 years without is a miracle."

For Erectile Dysfunction "I have been using caverject for over 10 years. It's the best thing I have found for ED. I haven't really found any side effects that are negative for me other than the bruising on the injection site. I do alternate where I inject each time. The only negative experience I had was the initial injection at the doctor's office. Evidently the doctor used too much and I ended up with priapism and in the hospital emergency room. The ambulance ride wasn't too embarrassing at all but the emergency room female nurse was very embarrassing. Her comment about fixing the guy's 'arm' I found very disturbing. Did not appreciate that at all. The emergency room staff I guess thought it was a joke but for me as the patient it wasn't a joke. Have tried the pump for ED and have tried Muse but not much success. Really like using caverject."

For Erectile Dysfunction "Now in my mid 60s. Always had trouble with ED. Pills helped when I was younger, then very hit and miss. Now use a Caverject. Comes in 20mcg. I mix it and use about half, or 10mcg. Sometimes I use the rest the next day. Do not store in too cool a place. The medicine is freeze dried powder that is neutralized permanently by cold. I like the mix yourself version because I travel and don't need to refrigerate. Inject in side of penis, it is possible to miss the spot if you are careless."

For Erectile Dysfunction "I tried Caverject. First test dose 5 mcg, not much response lasted about 10 minutes. Tried 10 mcg, got about 50% erection, but not enough for penetration, tried 20 mcg same result. My provider said to try 40, 60 and then 80 mcg. Haven't yet tried 40. I went to a Urologist who prescribed Trimix Worked ok, that was the liquid. The papaverine was 30mcg. Because I'm going on a trip I found a powdered form of Trimix online. Urologist ordered 0.5/10/0.5 which seems to work as well of the above liquid dose. But about 6 months ago I started on clomid, first 25mg M-F, testosterone 750, up from 450 but LH and FSH doubled. Now on 25mg MWF. I now have nocturnal erections, from the clomid. I'm hopeful that I can stop the injections soon."

For Erectile Dysfunction "I have tried everything going and this is the only thing that works for me, the injections I don't feel any pain I am currently on 40 mg and get a good erection. I find it's better to keep yourself shaved so you can see any veins, the needle goes in very easy, after years of putting up and being too embarrassed to get help I wish I would have done it year's ago."

For Erectile Dysfunction "Used Muse to start with then moved to Alprostadil 10mg. Now 5yrs later and a problem up with using urine control tablet which caused it to go down as fast as it went up? Stopped taking that tab and all was OK as I had increased dose when I had the problem. I was using 50mg but was getting problems like being very tired and wobbly. Urologist said don't use over 40mg and stopped taking the problem tab. I did but I had to leave the dose at 30mg at least to last an hour or more? Before that incident I could get an erection for well over an hour and semi hard for at least another hour or more!! Had a bit of bruising and some blood but if you check well before you can miss a vein. Disposal is easy."

For Erectile Dysfunction "What a disappointment Muse was. Without my hypertension meds everything works find. Maybe I will just quit taking them. I am not married, 63, and have tried with several women all to no effect. They are not shy in expressing their disappointment or they just disappear. Muse started to work but did not get there and leaves me sore, just like Viagra."

Edex (alprostadil) for Erectile Dysfunction "While it swells my penis up, it's not enough for a sustainable erection. If I lay down, it's gone and even standing up its not much better. I started using this last year. I noticed I have peeling and some abraded surface skin (thin cracks) parallel to and adjacent to the top of the head of my penis in the last few months - maybe it's a side effect, the whole thing has been a bit disappointing. I also take Humira - so maybe the combo of the two causes this. No clue. Need to go back and see the urologist again..."

Caverject Impulse (alprostadil) for Erectile Dysfunction "I had been on oral medication for ED for years and then my urology nurse said I had to be switched to ED injections. So I arrived for my appointment with a nervous feeling. The male nurse showed me the box of Caverject. The box had two needles, neither seemed that big. My nurse mixed the solution and tablet together in a small glass and the injection was ready as soon as the mixture went clear. I was shown how to retract my foreskin and wiped the vial and my penis with two alcohol wipes. My nurse did the injection then I had to press on my penis. Then I was shown how to massage the fluid along my penis and ten minutes later my erection was more than satisfactory. My erection has returned to pre-prostate surgery. This ED injection is painless and now I feel my young age of 49. Definitely worth considering this as the results were instant for me."

For Erectile Dysfunction "I'm 83 years old - fit and healthy - people say I look as young as 59, bless them. I use the dual-chamber syringe 20mg. The best news I have gained from your posts is to use a 31g diabetic needle. Much smoother, easier and no discomfort at all. Love it! I have no side effects, adequate erection for two times and lasts about two to three hours."

For Erectile Dysfunction "I have tried all the oral medications for erectile dysfunction and had to stop due to being diagnosed with angina. After having TURP prostate surgery, I am in the category for Caverject Vial. I had a urology appointment and the box was unpacked, and the contents looked complicated. My urology nurse mixed the solution and got the needle prepared. The needle is so small I was not fazed by it, and the nurse showed me which part of my penis to inject. Oh my word, within 20 minutes I had a semi-erection. The nurse explained that the results might be better away from the clinic. Two days later, I tried the injection and within 15 minutes, I had an erection like in my younger years."

For Erectile Dysfunction "After nerve sparing Prostatectomy I was prescribed alprostadil. Viagra never worked. Although I get a decent erection I've lost a bit of girth which sometimes happens after Prostatectomy. I've since discovered doing pelvic floor exercises really helps with erections and woke up with my first morning glory since the operation and without drug."
