I have been taking pristiq for 6 weeks. It seems to be working well other than I stay up late and have a very hard time waking up in the morning. Once I wake up, sometimes I can go back to sleep 2 hours later which is not normal for me. What is the best time of day to take my 50mg dose? Morning or evening?

The dose can be taken morning or night, as long as it is taken at the same time each day.
You should take it when it suits you best in regards to any side effects you are experiencing. If you are taking it at night and you are finding it is making you drowsy into the morning then try taking earlier in the evening.
Is it better to take desvenlafaxine morning or at bed time?
I have been taking Pristiq in the morning for about 3 months and have been a zombie the next day until about 2pm. The last week I have been taking it about 6pm and am feeling massively better the next day. Worth giving it a go.
I also had the same problem with pristiq. I take it before I go to bed now and now I wake up refreshed. I can't believe the difference it made for me. I hope this helps you. Give it a try and you will be suprised at the difference it will make. I hope it works as well for you as it did for me. Good luck.
