95yr old male rec'd thoracentesis 5/27/2015 (2% lidocaine was used as local anesthesia) CT Dose-Length Product (DLP) : 293 mGy*cm. No intravenous medication administered. AFTER procedure VOICE became very HIGH PITCHED & weaker NEXT day CAN ONLY WHISPER. Voice gone. Is this an allergy? Long term? Is there an antedote? Next day discoloration 19cmx19cm where 8 French thoracentesis needle was advanced into the fluid collection.How get "NORMAL" voice back???
