Did your Restless Leg Syndrome increase with Zoloft?

I am weaning off of Zoloft after 6 months. I'm down to about 12mg and had horrible restless legs last night. Prior to last night I seemed to get it very rarely and only when I would eat certain foods (i.e. gluten, too much rice). I don't think I got it during the past 6 months while on zoloft.

One of the less common side effects for Zoloft is ‘increased body movements’ so it may not be the one for you but there are a lot of other SSRI medications that could help. If you feel uncomfortable with just the idea of taking any SSRI because it could make RLS/PLMD, ask about other medications that relieve anxiety. Then, if you’re taking any other medications or you want to take will likely cause adverse effects go to the ‘drug interactions’ section and look at what to watch out for. It’s surprising sometimes that even acetaminophen is listed under major interactions. You can get something you’re not concerned about taking that won’t cause issues with your RLS or Limb Movement Disorder and will help relieve anxiety. I hope this helps.
