The issue is sudden appearance of blister-like bumps appearing on the back of the throat behind the uvula. It's uncomfortable, slightly painful and it feels like I have increased difficulty breathing and swallowing.
The history is I started allergy shots. I took them for four weeks (ranked top allergy to grass and mold, medium to cats and I own a cat). On the fourth week I took my shot then got in a plane for Japan. While on the plane I had a severe reaction of muscle spasm on the right side of my body from my rib cage to my ear. It mainly was in my shoulder and neck. The spasm lasted for 9 hours and I had soreness for three weeks that slowly decreased. No doctor was able to confirm what exactly happened. Mystery 1. I returned back from Japan after two weeks and worked 13 hours days while in Japan.
I saw my allergy doctor on my return. She wanted to say it was coincidence but the reaction started 20 minutes after my shot... So I highly doubt that. She wanted to resume my allergy shots so said I would wait until the muscle pain was gone.
That week, I had just eaten dinner at Burger King (spicy chicken burger), and used their restroom. After 20 minutes I suddenly was coughing and felt scratchy at the back of my throat. I looked in the mirror and saw these large bumps and orange colored nasal drainage. It became increasingly more uncomfortable so I went to urgent care. They immediately gave me an oral steroid and Benadryl. They assumed it was an allergy reaction. I was given 5 days of predinzone. But the next day I had increased temperature and turned bright red. I went to the hospital and they took me off the steroid as an assumption I had a reaction to the steroid.
A week later I had the same issue with my throat. Suddenly bumps appeared and it looks like there's nasal drainage. The hospital was stumped and gave me another set of steroids "just in case". But I chose not to take them. I don't agree it'll help. Mystery 2.
Any thoughts on what on earth is wrong with me? Mystery 1 and 2? Are they even related afflictions?
