A year and a half ago I had my uterus and cervix removed (Feb 2013). Immediately after that surgery I had labor-like pains in my lower left abdominal region. They would appear all of a sudden and at random times so I couldn't relate them to anything I was doing. My OB/GYN said it was a hernia so I went to a hernia specialist who confirmed it and I had surgery to patch that in Februrary 2014. Pain continued to appear and was more frequent. Standing straight up or laying down provided the only relief. However, I sometimes needed help getting in those positions because the pain was so paralyzing. Had a colonoscopy in April and it came back normal. Went back to OB/GYN and he did an ultrasound which confirmed large cysts on my left ovary. Scheduled a laproscopy and discovered endometriosis in my left fallopian tube and ovary, which he removed. Doc says right side looks fine. Now as a follow up I am prescribed Lupron Depot and Norethindrone Acetate--a shot every 3 months. After reading all the literature and looking these up on webmd, it does not look like I am a candidate. Please help me understand this. I don't want to risk having the side effects if it's not necessary.
