I took 1mg of Xanax around 12 hours ago. I want to take a Norco 7.5/325 for some pain but I know the two can have serious interactions. Would it be OK to take Norco now and if not, how long should I wait?

One hour between Xanax and any narcotic. This is hospital protocol.

If both the Norco and the Xanax were prescribed by the same Dr., there should not be a problem with regards to the interaction as your Dr. is likely to know there is a serious interaction and he/she would not put you harms way. Now if separate Drs. prescribed these meds, or you got them in a different way (I am not implying wrong doing, just ruling out possibilities to help you), the idea that comes to mind is to call your local pharmacy and ask the Chemist/Pharmacist.
