Hi there,
I am interested in having my IUD taken out (I have Skyla) because I have had constant pain, nausea, and an uncomfortable feeling down there since placement. I went to the doctor the other day for what ended up being a yeast infection and they told me my strings for my IUD weren't visible. They did an ultrasound soon after and the placement is great... just unsure about the location of the strings. What is the normal procedure for removing an IUD when the strings aren't out of the cervix?
How is an IUD (Skyla) removed if the strings aren't visible out of the cervix?
