2 days after beginning the drops I began to see a black shadow that has slowly progressed across my left eye even after stopping the drops... After one week I had many of the listed side effects for the drops so they discontinued use. I have almost no field of vision left after 4 weeks. I have never had edema in my optic nerve previously. MRIs and blood work turn up nothing.
Has anyone had any optic nerve edema as a result of azithromycin drops given for an eye infection?
