Adcirca is another drug, which contains tadalafil, but the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Adcirca tablets for oral administration, as the first once-daily phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). I think you are confusing the generic name with a generic version. Every brand name has an active ingredient which is called the "generic name". This is not the same as a "generic version" of a drug.

In order for there to be a generic version, the brand name must have gone off-patent and another company besides the original patent holder must be making the drug.

You may find a number of companies currently offering generic Cialis or Tadalafil online but these are most likely fake and potentially dangerous. You should avoid buying any generic version online unless you know it is approved in your country.

Cialis (tadalafil) is a prescription medicine that is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED).
Cialis is manufactured by Eli Lilly and is currently protected by a patent which is not due to expire until 2016. The patent prevents any company from manufacturing generic Cialis.
Once Cialis goes off patent it becomes non exclusive and generic Cialis is able to be manufactured.
