Ask your doctor if Gabapentin can possibly raise a man's PSA levels?
Please be aware that we are talking about PROSTATE, not Prostrate.
He should see a Urologist to rule out Prostate cancer. Catch it early.
You need to see a urologist if you have had a significant increase in the PSA.
Good luck and may you be well.
The urologist WILL KNOW if the neurontin has caused the PSA increase since he has more knowledge in his speciality than a neurologist or internist.
It really doesn't matter at this moment because of the PSA definitely rising. The question is now IF the PSA number indicates further investigation into the prostate (biopsy) and/or discontinuation of the gabapentin (Neurontin).
The urologist will answer all his questions for sure! He also will probably repeat the PSA with a more sensitive test than the regular test.
