Developed rash after two weeks?
I've been on levothyroxine (after thryoid removal) for two weeks and take it first thing in morning on empty stomach, two hours before breakfast. This morning my chest broke out in a rash and itches. Still there after 12 hours. Is this a symptom of the medication?
Can levothyroxine cause a skin rash?

Possible Side Effects of Levothyroxine
Just like any medication, levothyroxine can cause allergic reactions. Seek medical attention immediately if you develop any signs of an allergic reaction, including:
Wheezing or difficulty breathing
An unexplained rash
Hives
Itching
Unexplained swelling (especially of the lips, mouth, or throat).
CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR ASAP... GOOD LUCK
Thank you. My endocrinologist is "very confident" that she's given me the correct medication and it's been a battle getting her to listen to me. I think it's time to find a new doctor!
