Can you cut in half Metronidazole 500 mg to make it 250 mg?

my apologies for this being so late in giving you an answer, I have a good friend who is a pharmacist I saw this posted and I asked him he says you can take 1/2 the tablet without causing any problems, if you have problems with taking this in the future always be sure and consult the doctor, We are here and are willing to help I am just so sorry that this took so long, hope you have done fine with this take good care

I realize this answer is very, very late but may help someone in future ... Yes, metronidazole 500mg tablets can be halved to make it 250mg.
