When I say "sore", I mean to say painful muscles.

When my doctor prescribed Lidoderm patches for my chronic pain, he said I could put the patches anywhere as long as there was not an open wound near by. I was also told NOT to apply more than 3 patches on my body at one time. I've used the patches on my neck, back, knees, arms, and feet. So, as long as you use 3 or less at one time, and don't keep them on longer than 8 hours you should be okay.

I was told pretty much the same thing except my doctor said I can leave them on for 12 hours and then keep them off for 12 hours and then repeat the process. I was also told that you can cut them to fit but not to put more than a total of 3 whole patches on at once.
