If I only used one Lidoderm patch Lidocaine patch 5% how long does that stay in my system?

Its topical and its just lidocaine, a local anesthetic. It only has about 3% systemic absorption. It has a half life of 1.5 hrs.

Lidoderm - Can the patch be used more than 12 hours at a time. What about continuous?

Elderly lady has people coming in to apply patch but but not always around 12 hrs later. Plus... patient wants to use it continuously.
