I research this medication and Alopecia is one of the side effects. It's possible that it created total hair loss. I would contact the FDA and report it to them because I've never heard of this medication causing COMPLETE hair loss. Hope this helps. Good Luck to you.

Hi,
Hair loss is possible with bisoprolol fumerate but not a common side effect.
Blood pressure medicines can affect the potassium in your system. An imbalance of potassium or even iron can cause hair loss. Underactive thyroid can also cause hair loss. I would see a doctor and discuss this. It would be good to have a doctor check thyroid function as well as posassium and iron levels. All can be done via a simple blood test. Stress is another factor that can cause hair loss and unfortunatley the more you stress about the more it can continue.

I have been taking Bisoprlol for 4 years. It controlled the blood pressure well but my hair has gotten very thin. I am switching meds now and Drs have discovered my B12 is very low. This can also cause hair loss. I don't know if the meds prevented my body from absorbing B12 or something else. Am now taking B12 supplements and may have to resort to B12 injections. Meanwhile I pray another med will control the BP as well and that my hair grows back. Time will tell. Don't know how this has worked for others but I suggest you get your B12 l2 levels checked too.
