My mother has gallbladder cancer and suffers from nausea constantly. She has been on 8mg dose of Zofran for about a month. Today this does not seem to be helping with nausea. Is it safe to double the dose? It is New Years day and no Dr. or Pharmacy to answer questions.
Can more than 8mg of zofran be taken as a single dose?

I know its terrible to watch this and not be able to do anything. Is she getting chemo? She can have 8 mg twice a day as far as the recommendations go. So now we improvise. Scheweppes ginger ale or ginger tea will help nausea. Ginger root helps
Thank you so much for the suggestion of Ginger Tea. I will get some and give it a try. We have also gotten some peppermint oil. She put some on the tip of her nose and it seems to help. My mother will not take chemo. She has decided to fight cancer with diet. No sugar and trying to keep her body more alkaline. Again thank you.
Best bet is not to double it, could cause complications due to the ingredients and how they interact with body chemistry. I would think an hour sooner than the instruction would be alright, but would not double, especially if approval to do this came from a stranger online.
Thank you for your suggestion. I will try giving it to her earlier.
