I agree with Kaismama on this one. This is what ipills do. They are a huge blast of hormones and really hard on your body! Taking routine birth control pills are much much easier on your system than the ipill is. It often causes bleeding and cramps about a week after it is taken-not all women get this but most do and it is not a sign that it has worked or not worked-it is just a side effect of the pill. Generally, if there is a good amount of bleed (to where you would call it bleeding rather than spotting) then you can be pretty sure she is not pregnant. Bleeding from the vagina is the shed of the uterine lining and if one is pregnant, the lining doesnt shed. I dont know what web site alludes to bleeding being a pregnancy symptom but it must be one of the first ones that comes up! Bleeding is not a sign of pregnancy and I have seen only a few cases of "implantation bleeding" out of hundreds of pregnant women over the years.
The ipill often delays the next months period as well so it seem to actually cause much more stress than it alleviates. If a woman is going to be sexually active, she should get onto a routine birth control like birth control pills or any of the many forms of hormonal birth control available to women now days. It may help the cramping if she takes some ibuprofen and uses a heating pad to her low back. It is just muscle spasms and cramping she is feeling and some girls are more sensitive to this pain than others plus when a girl is scared, it can make discomfort seem worse. If her bleeding is a lot heavier than her normal period, then she may need to see a Dr but otherwise "this too shall pass" but you need to remember this time the next time you think that it will be okay to have unprotected sex because you can always just take the ipill. Emergency contraception is meant for emergencies like rape or a condom break-not because you just didnt feel like using protection. You would save yourself a lot of stress and worry if you would just take her to your local family planning clinic or to a GYN doctor to get on routine birth control!

This sounds serous enough to warrant a Dr visit, and then, maybe some life-counseling and Male alternatives to birth control (condoms, abstinence, etc.).

The biggest thing you can do for her is not to cause her to be in the need of it again. It is very selfish of you guys to expect your girl to take it and suffer that just because you don't want to use a condom. These are side effects of the pill, and her period will be late too. No way would this be a sign of pregnancy.
Bleeding and pain are not a sign of pregnancy.
