For COPD "The first while I took trelegy I noticed an improvement in breathing. Then for the last month not near as effective. Started getting thrush in my mouth, painful little sores, even though I rinse with salt water. And listerine..I will stop using it"

For COPD "I have stage 3 emphysema and I have only been on Trelergy for one week. However I have found my breathing is actually worse and I am struggling. I am currently on antibiotics and am wondering if I should battle on or go back to Seretide and Spiriva. Any advice welcome please"

"DO NOT TAKE TRELEGY! I was having residual coughing from Covid for over 4 months and Albuterol was not working so my doctor gave me a 2-week sample of Trelegy. After just two days I ended up in the ER almost dying from pneumonia-like symptoms. This caused my eyes and cheeks to swell, blurry vision, extreme headache, constant coughing, and the worst back pain I have ever had. I pray that someone reading this hasn’t tried this horrible drug yet because if you do you could end up dead I do not know how this is on the market. I pray these residual effects from this medication, leave my body, and then I’m not stuck with this for life over two puffs you have been warned."

For COPD "I initially coughed for the first hour, then the following day, half of my head hurt to the touch, it felt like it was sunburned. That lasted a week. Then I had increased mucus , that woke me up at night, as I was chocking on it. I had pains in my hips and joints, and the pain moved down my legs as I lifted them to lay on a couch, I could no longer lift my arms above my head, without them being in pain at the muscle, which felt as if it went down to the bone. A sore throat and headaches. Other than those side effects my breathing did improve, but not enough to warrant putting up with the side effects. I lasted 3 months, then gave it up. Doctor then tried me on Trimbow, that lasted 3 days, when I ended up with vertigo. I'm now back on seebri & fostair"

For Asthma "I was prescribed 1 treatment a day. After the third treatment I became very hoarse. I felt like my head was stopped up like never before. My throat felt closed up, my lungs as well. Trouble breathing. Rash on my side. Constipation. It’s now 4 days after the last treatment and I’m still having trouble with my throat and voice. This drug was given to me from the doctors office. Sample."

For COPD "I am having a hard time using this inhaler due to the powder being so concentrated. It makes me cough every time I begin to inhale it. I wonder how effective it is if I am unable to breathe it all the way in. I have switched back to Breo because it does not make me cough when inhaling the medication."

For COPD "I almost died from having every side effect listed. Three Dr.s and a 2-day hospital visit later, and no one was able to figure out in 3 months that it was causing all my problems! I looked up the side effects yesterday and solved all my health issues. The hospital that I was in does not prescribe it."

For COPD "Trelegy Ellipta Absolutely works for my Emphysema. I don’t think I would be able to function without it. $1588.91 for a 3 months supply. Insurance calls it non-formulatory. Wish I could find it more affordable somewhere."

For COPD "In 2013 my stats were FEV1 of 37 and PEF 31 by mid 2018. GP started me on Trelegy and a reconditioning walk of 20 mins a day. Feb 2020 FEV1 is 47 and PEF 58 so Trelegy shift has been outstanding and no hospital visits since May 2018."

For Asthma "I only used my rescue inhaler occasionally before starting Trelegy, now I use it several times a day and I feel like I have a weight sitting on my lower lungs. This medicine, for me, is horrible and I never wish I had taken it."

For Asthma "This drug is terrific for me. It stopped my eosinophilic asthma symptoms entirely. After 5 months, I still love it. The main side effect is hoarseness (despite gargling). I read online to take a tsp of Mylanta just after and so far that does help."

For COPD "I was on Trelegy for about 3 months. It cost me $42.00 per month. Then after the first of the year my insurance changed and the cost went to over $700.00. My dr talked to insurance co and it went to $260.00 for 30 day supply. I couldn't afford that so my dr put me on another med and side effects about killed me. Then dr gave me sample of trelegy see if he can find something else for me."

For Asthma "I’ve been on Trelegy for almost 2 years now and it’s my favorite inhaler I’ve been on. If I don’t take it for a day or two, I definitely notice a difference and have to take my rescue inhaler. However, I haven't wheezed once since taking it. I’m slowly getting over a cold and have noticed it’s not hitting the spot as well but I also think it played a big role in me barely having to use my rescue inhaler while I was sick, which I usually have to do. It’s an interesting drug to me since it was originally not even created for asthmatics. My only two side effects have been hoarseness in my voice but only if I don’t rinse my mouth out properly after taking it and I also get easier bruising. The bruising worried me at first but all my blood results have come back normal so I’ve just accepted it as a side effect."

"This is a true miracle drug , I have had lung cancer small cell and was given a 2 year prognosis but am working on my 6th year. Finally was given this inhaler after many that did not help me. It works and has improved my breathing but unfortunately I am no longer able to afford it and my insurance company will no longer let me use a voucher . Why does the drug work but is unaffordable to people? It makes no sense"

For Asthma "I have severe eosinophilic asthma. I was given a 1 mo sample of Trelegy Elipta 200. My asthma is greatly improved, it has cut down on both mucus production and need for ventolin. I’ve had a daily headache since starting the medication. Heart feels like it’s racing on and off, blood pressure is elevated."

For COPD "My Dr. gave me Trelegy 10 days ago and it has helped considerably with my breathing. Advair did not help also advair made my tongue so sore I could hardly eat. I rinse after using Trelegy but I think only side effect seems to be back towards my throat is a little sore. It hasn't been expensive, so far anyway. I have bought 1 inhaler. But I'm on medicare. 8 dollars for an inhaler that helps isn't bad! That's been my experience so far"

For Asthma "I have lung damage from cancer along with asthma. I watch for air quality alerts and track my peak expiratory flow rate and FEV. I was using Advair (generic) which was giving me a fairly high dose of inhaled steroid and constant thrush. I was 60% of my target Peak Flow range and only 70% for FEV. With two months of Trelegy, my Peak Flow is 96% of range and FEV in the mid 80%. With Trilogy I'm only getting half the amount of steroid I was getting before and my thrush symptoms have improved (though I still have to treat it). The difference with this med is the addition of the anticholinergic which will dry you out (so you must stay well hydrated). Ask your doctor about treating thrush (a major cause of "sore throat") and to check potassium and calcium levels (a big cause of leg cramps). Many of the "side effects" are easily treated without more meds. Also - if you experience side effects please, please report them to FDA dot gov, your doctor and the Trilogy folks."

"Trelegy is much too strong for me, it hurts my lungs when I breathe it in. After using it for months, I felt worse. Much more Thick Mucus, terrible cough and although it did help a little with the SOB, I felt worse. I stopped taking it altogether and I swear, I never felt better, no more phlegm, no cough, I know that it irritated my lungs so bad and that is why the cough and the increased phlegm. I was my second attempt, (7 months apart that I tried Trelegy with the same results, never again!!!!"

For Asthma "I started using Trelegy three days ago and have not used my rescue inhaler since. I typically use it three or four times a day and have chest tightness most of the time. I am breathing normally for the first time in my life. If I was not worried about future side effects. I have been on so many medications for asthma and nothing has come close to the results I have had in the past three days. Just praying the results last and that I do not develop other side effects."

For Asthma "Trelegy works great for my asthma! I no longer wheeze or cough, but my tongue gets so raw. It burns like fire if I eat anything salty, and it burns if I drink Diet Pepsi. It clears up, and before I know it, the raw tongue is back. It might be a yeast infection or thrush, but I don’t know. I always rinse my mouth and gargle with water. I forgot to tell my doctor when I had my physical last week. I have been on Trelegy for 6 months."

For Asthma "Not a positive experience. I had asthma exacerbated during RST. Doc tried me on Trelegy Ellipta. Usually a rescue inhaler and the addition of a steroid inhaler is what I use. I prefer the softness of aerosol delivery with a spacer. The experience with Trelegy is very unpleasant based on the inhalation method. It feels gritty, therefore irritating. Who thought that was a great idea. Also began to experience chest ache. I'm quitting this. I believe the patient instruction for use needs to be improved. More specifically how long to inhale, how to aim the the mouthpiece. Toward the tongue, toward the back of the throat? There seemed to be no great gains over my usual treatment."

For Asthma "Dr prescribed trelegy in July and I followed with rinsing my mouth out with water. September 29 I went to dentist and both me and my dentist were shocked. I had the worst dental exam of my life. In May I had no cavities. In September I had to get 5 crowns, 2 teeth could not save and 4 other teeth needed fillings. Since then I not only rinse with water, brush my teeth ,and use mouthwash after my daily inhalation of Trelegy. Today my asthma doctor told me to stop using trelegy. I hope that I never have another dental exam like that again. The dentist believes it was probably the cause and my doctor doesn’t believe it is the cause. My breathing has improved."
