Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Fibromyalgia "I have Fibromyalgia and compression fractures in my lower back and neck from an automobile accident. I have tried everything for pain and stiffness. I changed doctors and she gave me a prescription for Flexeril 10mg to take at bedtime to help me sleep. For me, this is the best medication I have tried. I had to cut the pills in quarters however because the 10mg was too strong."

For Muscle Spasm "(Pink Lemonade) I to have fibromyalgia and constantly in pain. My chest muscles always hurt and have body aches as well. I have 5mg Flexeril and 15mg. I can't take the 15 cause it keeps you drowsy. Even after 8 to 10 hours of sleep. I wish they had a cure for Fibromyalgia . Its hard living with this condition. Especially when you have high blood pressure and diabetes. I've also noticed the kind of care you get depends on your insurance. Private insurance fixes the problem, Medicaid prolongs by giving prescriptions. This is why you never older politicians , ever get sick. They have the funds for the best treatment. We have to settle. Everyone pray for one another cause this works is definitely divided."

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm "5 or10mg works for muscle spasms but Dangerous if taken during daytime. Caused uncontrolled drowsiness, deep sleep, difficulty waking up, constipation, blurred vision and sudden unbearable headaches leaving me unable to function. (5 or 10 MG doses were same effects) Lost a new job just 2 months after starting due to not realizing it was this medication's side effects of: blurred vision, migraines & exhaustion. I was unable to keep up with workload and didn't relate it to Flexeril because I had been on it many years ago when I was much younger. I tried to explain to my PCP but some docs just don't listen. I have since stopped flexeril, no more headaches!"

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm "I've been on Flexeril now for about 2 years. My neurologist was treating me for temporomandibular joint (TMJ) syndrome. I was okay taking 10 mg once a day. It was when he increased my dosage was when I started to have very very serious side effects. Among the normal side effects sleepiness grogginess confusion that's a given but it was working so I tolerated it. When I jumped to 20 mg a day within a week or two I started to develop much more serious side effects. I developed a rapid heart rate and one of the most serious was I could not urinate. I was put on a catheter on Easter Sunday for about 5 weeks. And just prior to that I was having difficulty swallowing. Along with that I started to have hallucinations big time. I ended up with such bad nightmares that I literally fell out of my bed three nights in a row. My urologist finally put the pieces together when he found out how long I had been on Flexeril. He told me to stop and immediately and when I did within a week or two most of my symptoms have disappeared."

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm "I had severe bilateral sacral pain, had a caudal epidural with no effect. I began flexeril 10 mg prior to the epidural which improved my condition. After the epidural I stopped flexeril and the pain came back big time. I resumed flexeril which kicked in two days later. I take it 2x daily and meloxicam 15mg once daily. I am scheduled for another epidural on 2 January but will cancel if flexeril keeps working."

For Muscle Spasm "I don't recommend this medication to anyone. It did help with the muscle spasm but the side effects of this pill is ridiculous! I had very bad anxiety, my heart pounding like I was going to have a heart attack with every move I made, shaky hands, numb legs and waking up in the middle of the night with my left arm hurting and pressure on my left side of my chest. You wake up like you have a hangover, groggy, panicky and cranky. Never again. I only took it for 4 days."

For Fibromyalgia "After years of suffering a Rheumatologist finally diagnosed fibromyalgia. He prescribed Flexeril 5 mg. at bedtime. I had forgotten what it feels like to actually be rested in the morning! MUCH less pain the next day as well as not waking up to spasms during the night. The only problem I have with it is constipation, but I started Forteo injections for osteoporosis at the same time which can also be constipating, so I can't blame the Flexeril entirely."

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Sciatica "Bad disc in neck causing severe muscle spams . This provided great relief , but had all the side effects. Dry mouth, bloating, brain in a fog. I only took 0.5 per day for 5 straight days . I am stopping now to clear my brain."

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) "My doctor prescribed Flexeril after finding I had a posterior disc protrusion in my neck and degenerative disc disease in my lower back. I must say it worked great in reducing my pain and helped me sleep at night when the pain was the worst. My doctor told me Flexeril was far less addictive than similiar drugs such as Soma. I am very pleased with its results."

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm "I tore my labrum in my left hip, doctor gave me Robaxin at 1st but didn't seem to work. I take 2 of these and 1 Vicodin and I feel much better. After surgery I will hopefully be able to get rid of these and get back to normal."

Amrix (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm "I had pretty significant muscle spasms in my neck after my car was rear-ended. This medicine pretty much stopped all of the pain and allowed me to sleep soundly. The only problem is that it makes me drowsy."

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm "I've taken Flexeril off and on since 'late '98 when I was (mis)diagnosed with muscle-spasms (ER trip was due to a kidney stone). Flex was great at relieving muscles spasms for 7 out of 10 days Rx-d. I took it for all 10 days, tho' the low-back spasms were gone after day 7--the kidney-stone-pain, however, remained. I've been taking it "as needed" (having fractured my T12 or L1 vertebra when I was 8, herniated discs, etc--at this writing, I'm 59) for about 6 months, per my PCP. After the first bottle, I told him about the soporific/zombie effects and he now requires me to take it only when I go to bed to sleep. Flex has a 1/2 life of 18-23 hours. Thus, it doesn't wear off fast. A bit of Melatonin helps me get better-than-zombie sleep. :)"

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Migraine "I have Flexeril prescribed to me because I suffer from migraines. I'm 17, have been getting migraines for about 9 years and have been on flexeril for about 2 years. I only take it occasionally when I get a bad migraine and need sleep to help with the pain. Although it's not usually prescribed for headaches or migraines, it helps reduce the pain lots and helps me sleep while I have a bad migraine."

For Sciatica "I would rather endure the pain. This knocked me down for 2 whole days. I took a half because I did not know how my body world react. I slept for 2 days, only getting up to use the bathroom and get a drink of water. If you are sensitive to medications, as I am, I would not suggest this. How did it do with the pain? It was still there when I finally woke up, it wan't as severe but it was still there."

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm "I took this for muscle pain and it physically worked well but left me feeling incredibly depressed and hopeless to the point I had to discontinue. Not taking in combination with any other meds that could cause this, so unfortunately think this didn't vibe with my chemistry even though the muscular relief and ability to sleep through the night was nice. I was only on 5mg."

Amrix (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm "My doctor recommended this medication for relief of muscle spasms associated with trigger points in my upper back. This is the first medication that really helps to take the edge off when the trigger point fires up. I still get pain but it's no where near as bad as it used to be. I have had no noticeable side effects other than some mild constipation. One 15mg capsule twice a day works for me."

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm "I read through some of the reviews here and wow, what doctors are you seeing that prescribe 10 mgs, 3 times a day?! Of course you have side effects lol. That's jumping off the deep end. You always start low and ramp up. Make sure you google medications before just taking them. Doctors can be wrong and are wrong lots of times. My doctor told me 5mg to 10mg a day only at night. I'm on my first day after taking 10 mg last night and feel pretty groggy but I only slept 7 hours (more than I usually get). I took a 5 mg pill at about 10:20 pm last night and was laying down for an hour before I took another 5 mg pill at 11:20 pm. It was about 12:20 am when I last looked at the time. I did wake up with a headache that went away after an hour though"

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Sciatica "Brand Name works great. Does the job and not even noticeable to myself that I've taken it. It will make me sleepy once I lay down, but fully functional on this medication until then. I've taken this drug since 1992. Unfortunately can NOT find this medicine in Brand name."

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Fibromyalgia "I have had fibromyalgia for over 15 years. When my muscles feel extremely "tight"``I definitely hurt more. Thank God for Flexeril! I take 10 mg before bed and this helps me to sleep and feel less muscle pain. I tried to live without this medicine for 1 week and my pain level went up considerably and much more muscle spasms and tightness. I do have a dry mouth especially after I wake up. I do work night shifts as a nurse...this helps me to get better sleep in turn making me feel better after I get up. "

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Sciatica "I'm on a lot of other scripts, so maybe others may or may not be helping. I'm taking two extra strength tylenol AM & PM with the flex, they usually help pretty good, but still hurts especially when sitting, standing or walking."

For Sciatica "Ever since falling down the stairs in 2014 my back has never been the same. I get muscle pain in the exact same way and in the exact same spot about three times a year which lasts for 3 months. Chiropractors stretch and pop my back but it just goes back to how it was. I get on the 10 mg dose pill form. I love it. I can walk around and not feel like cursing and crying. I love how it makes me have not much muscle pain after taking it! I think it works so well with my back problems!"

Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) for Muscle Spasm "The side effect that made me stop it was severe reflux. I would wake up from a dead sleep basically vomiting in my mouth and nearly choking on it. This happened nightly for weeks and I just couldn't tolerate it anymore. It does help a great deal with relaxing the muscles (and for pain). I also get insomnia from this while most people get drowsy."

For Chronic Myofascial Pain "Have Lumbar tear lots of nerve damage but finally having nerves in back fused, etc. Went from a HIGH 10-7 to WOW 7-4, I have chronic severe PAIN & take 10mg NORCO 5 daily which doesn't relieve at all the constant SPASMS through out my body! You CAN'T SLEEP! body just spasms to where you just can't sleep! I tried a 10 mg cyclobenzaprine, this also knocks me out but WELL WORTH IT; this was the first time I slept for a straight 8hrs since. I've been unable to find any medications to help till Christmas. I ran short on pain med & started taking 800 mg of ibuprofen (prescription) which is a MIRACLE I FEEL I'VE FINALLY FOUND THE PROPER MIXTURE & I'm able to say I've not been this alive since 2002!"

For Fibromyalgia "After trying a bunch of medications over the course of a couple years, I found the Chronic Pain & Fatigue Research center I've been on gapapentin, pregabalin, hydrocodone, methotrexate, doxepin, high levels of NSAIDs, SNRIs, SSRIs, etc, but nothing has been as effective as Dr recommendation of Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine) 5mg/daily. It has relatively few side effects out of drugs I've tried for fibro. If you're not getting the results you'd like, work with your physician to get off opiates and try this, or one of the others Dr. Clauw references in his talks. It has seriously saved my quality of life."
