For Anxiety "I am 27 years old and my psychiatrist prescribed me Clonazepam 2 years ago when my anxiety and sleep deprivation got out of control. I was prescribed 0.5mg 1-2x daily as needed, but usually taking 1/2-1 (0.25-0.5mg) tablet does the trick. Never had an addiction issue, never had any issues stopping or taking long breaks off of this medication. I don’t abuse it and truly only take the bare minimum as needed. I had tolerance issues with lorazepam and Xanax, where I felt like even after a week, I had to continuously increase my dose, but never with Clonazepam. 0.25-0.5mg is perfect when I do take it. Like with any medication, you just have to be careful and know the risks. I’m grateful that my psychiatrist gave me something that helps. Without this medication I would not be able to function socially, go to work, or sleep on my bad days."

For Insomnia "I'm 25, female, full-time student and full-time worker, living in NYC. I've been fighting insomnia triggered by anxiety my entire life, but it was never an issue until I reached my mid-twenties. When I lay down, I get a series of panic attacks that can keep me awake the entire night. Lately, I've been going three days on ~5 hours of total sleep. I quit my job and my focus for school was diminished. I became scared and a total mess. I need proper sleep to be able to function the next day. I was recently prescribed Clonazepam through my psychiatrist and it is, seriously, a blessing from the universe. I take 0.5 mg when I start feeling sleepy and, within an hour, I'm in dreamland. I don't have to fight for sleep or get anxious about sleeping."

For Benzodiazepine Withdrawal "I have been on this medication clonazepam off and on since I was 19 for benzo withdrawal. I am now 25, and have been taking it regularly for 2 1/2 years. I was prescribed 8 mg a day, now 4 mg, but have somehow managed to get down to 1 mg a day and trying to get below that is nearly impossible. It is the only thing that has helped my anxiety, but the horrid withdrawals aren't worth it at all! Terrible muscle twitches, cold sweats, feeling like I'm going insane. I'm so afraid of having a seizure so I end up taking my regular dosage out of fear, so it's an endless cycle. Please be cautious with this medication. I regret ever even taking clonazepam."

Klonopin (clonazepam) for Panic Disorder "Over the years, I have tried all the SNRIs, SSRIs, and tricyclic antidepressants. I first used it as a muscle relaxer due to severe arthritis. The serotonin reuptake inhibitors caused worsening conditions and were ineffective. I have been hospitalized for Serotonin Syndrome. The last time was 3/24/2019 when I was given amitriptyline while on Fentanyl transdermal patches. I almost died from the reaction and was given Klonopin and Ativan. Klonopin has saved my life. I no longer have runaway anxiety from worrying about my spinal stenosis. No more insomnia; laying awake I suffered daily, all day long and even when trying to sleep before this medicine came into my life. I traded my Valium for this medication. A very good drug."

For Benzodiazepine Withdrawal "Been on Benzos for many years. I've decided last September to taper off slowly. Well, by the middle of February 2020, I was off them completely for 12 days. Unfortunately, my OCD and anxiety came back so strong that I felt I was going to go crazy. I couldn't sleep or eat or think straight. So I went back to one pill a day and, of course, symptoms vanished. I still want off them but the withdrawal drives me to the point I wonder if I will survive... Help!!! Any suggestions?"

For Insomnia "I have struggled with moderate insomnia for years (can't fall asleep, wake up 3 hours later unable to go back to sleep, etc). Although some nights are better than others, it has always been a major influence in my life. Lunesta worked well, allowing me to get about 6.5 to 7 hours, but it costs a FORTUNE. Just started clonazepam about a month ago and WOW! I only take it 3-4 nights a week to avoid dependency and my life is a lot better. As a side note, I do not suffer from anxiety or depression, I just can't turn off my brain EVER."

Klonopin (clonazepam) for Panic Disorder "I have very bad panic and anxiety attacks. The attacks would last for up to 3 to 4 hours. It first started when I was 30 years old and was admitted to a mental institution for a month for my own protection. I am now 46 years old. When I feel an attack coming on, I can basically control it now and take 1 mg of Klonopin. It does take some time to work, but when it kicks in, it works great. I did, at one stage, try to go off it, but the withdrawals were so bad I had to go back on it. I take 1 mg at night and then as needed. To all of you out there who think you are alone with this monster in your head, you are not. Think and say positive thoughts; it works."

For Benzodiazepine Withdrawal "I have taken clonazepam 1 mg, 4 times a day for over 15 years. 120 tablets 1 mg per month. My doctor & I are tapering over a LONG period of time. We reduced the script to 110 1 mg tablets (will do for 2 months) (VERY SLOW TAPERING). The next refill was 100, 1 mg tablets (did this for 2 months). I now have 80 1 mg for a month (cut all in half). I tried to cold turkey & ended up in the emergency room. DO NOT cold turkey this medication! I was prescribed this med about 15 years ago. So my body is dependent on it, but not for much longer! I have gone from 120-1 mg pills per month to 80 1 mg tablets per month. The next refill will be 75 1 mg per month for 2 months. And so on. Talk to your doctor about everything, your rough days, etc. Taper over a slow period!! Hope this was helpful. I still have some months to go, but feeling much better physically & mentally! Good luck! You can do it!"

Klonopin (clonazepam) for Panic Disorder "I battled panic disorder for several years, but never decided to get the help I needed. I tried SSRI's, meditation, no phone for 2 hours before bed, and many other natural supplements to try to help me out. Nothing had worked, I couldn't sleep due to the nauseating effects of panic. It was till the point where I couldn't leave my house. It wasn't until I got the help I needed through prayer, therapy, and Klonopin. Klonopin gave me the relaxed feeling and calm with no high effect like Xanax or Ativan. Drug lasts for 24-30 hours as well which really helps. Life is too short to not get the help you need, please don't feel ashamed."

Klonopin (clonazepam) for Panic Disorder "I am 52 and was a nightly drinker to help with my anxiety for many years. Six months ago I decided to quit all alcohol. During that time, I was also on a huge dose of Lunesta each night. About 30 days after I stopped drinking, I began having severe and ceaseless panic attacks. I thought I was going to die! I had no idea what the heck was happening. I couldn’t function at home or work. My doctor put me on Paxil, which helped but not enough. So he added Clonazepam which has been amazing. I take 1 mg at night and sleep like a baby. I can take 0.5 mg as needed but try not to. When I don’t, I have anxiety. I am reading these reviews, which are extremely helpful to ascertain if this medication can be used for the rest of my life effectively. Please keep your reviews coming in. Your feedback helped me decide to use this medication which helped save my life. My wife and 3 beautiful kids thank you and Clonazepam!"

For Insomnia "I have chronic insomnia and no med has ever worked. I take 0.5 clonazepam daily and it relaxes and removes restlessness so I can go to sleep on my own, nothing more. I have pretty good success with this in normalizing my sleep schedule. I still sometimes wake in the night but go back relatively easily and wake up early. I get 5-7 hours a day, which is better than 3-4. I'm a fan."

For Insomnia "This is the best pill I've ever taken for sleeping. I've had insomnia for 6 years now. I got prescribed clonazepam, although my doc said it was highly addictive, because nothing else would work. I was desperate. In the time of 12 months before I got on it, I was able to sleep more than 6 hrs maybe 5 nights only, so I decided to give it a try. IT IS A MIRACLE PILL! I can sleep again for 8 hrs straight! I don't feel groggy, drowsy, or sleepy AT ALL, actually quite the opposite! I have so much energy in the morning, I feel like superman! I've been taking 0.75mg for two years now, 3-4 times a week, and so far, did not have to increase the dose! Give it a try if nothing else helps. And I've tried EVERYTHING."

Klonopin (clonazepam) for Anxiety "This drug is great. Sure, you can go med-free, which I've done, to prove to yourself that anxiety can't hurt you and there is nothing to fear (blah blah blah) - BUT my life truly was misery with this approach. What's the point, I told myself, of proving I can tough it out. Left unchecked, anxiety can spin you into fearing all kinds of silly stuff - doctor/dentist visits, flying, being stuck in traffic, shopping... Klonopin kills the deep-down anxiety. Oh, and if all you have is anxiety (no depression) - stay far, far away from the antidepressants... some friendly advice."

Klonopin (clonazepam) for Panic Disorder "I’ve been on Klonopin for 5 years now. It gave me my life back. I only take 0.25mg nightly and have never had to increase my dose. 95% of the time I can sleep a full night. Previously, I had been on trazodone, buspar, lunesta, celexa. Those either had side effects or were only effective for a couple of months. I was concerned about the addiction/withdrawal aspect of Klonopin but I haven’t had any problems at all with it. My insomnia made me have suicidal thoughts, so Klonopin has been a lifesaver. Being able to sleep is priceless."

Klonopin (clonazepam) for Panic Disorder "I almost thought my life was over before Klonopin. I had treatment-resistant depression, and the cause came from panic attacks. I went manic for almost a month. No medicine helped, and it was a long road to health. Klonopin was not a miracle drug, but it kept me from hanging myself. And eventually, through the love and healing power of God, I smile now. I can walk without shaking and a racing mind. I don't pass out because of anxiety attacks. I enjoy company and life again. Thank you, and just know you guys who suffer with whatever and take any kind of medication are loved! Life is more than pain. Take the pill."

For Benzodiazepine Withdrawal "I've been on .25 to .5 mg of clonazepam three times per day as needed for anxiety for about 4 years. I started out taking 'as needed" but had to take more and more to get the same relief. Six months ago I was fed up. I took 3mg and flushed the rest of my pills. Four days later I ended up in the ER and then a psych hospital for a week where the doctor scolded me for quitting cold turkey. I started tapering .5 mg per week until I got to 1mg per day. I am now at .25 mg once a day for a week and will then go to .125 mg and hopefully be done. My husband has been a saint putting up with me. I've had tremors...jaw shakes...anxiety...depression...mind going into overdrive...depersonalization...seeming like the world is fake...just know it has been horrible. I'm hoping the worst is over. And believe me...when I'm finally clonazepam free I will flush the rest of the pills and never go back."

Klonopin (clonazepam) for Panic Disorder "Honestly this medication is amazing. The only drawback is that some doctors don't want to prescribe it because it is a controlled substance. I feel so normal when I take this. I deal with heavy anxiety. My panic attacks are an everyday battle. From the heart attack feeling, sweaty palms, closed throat, difficulty breathing, feeling like I'm dying and unable to work, drive, or get out of my bed, this medication has given me my life back. I have 3 small children to care for and they need me! I am a much calmer mother. I have anger issues too. This medication helped me deal with my infuriating anxiety. I was so sick of feeling doomed, and I hated feeling so weak. I have been on it for 6 years. No complaints."

Klonopin (clonazepam) for Anxiety "Have done the full arsenal of anti-depressants with minimal to no resolution of my SAD/GAD. I am a generally healthy 48-year-old male that mysteriously 2 years ago developed intense GAD/SAD: terrified flop sweats in meetings, avoidance of all social gatherings/interaction, non-stop anxiousness, and a handful of panic attacks. Under recommendation from my therapist, my GP reluctantly prescribed clonazepam (Klonopin). 1 mg 2 x a day. The full 1 mg made me a bit glassy-eyed and dull. Reducing to 0.5 mg in the morning - to handle work-related anxiety and 1 mg at night before bed. Success! I am close to the goofy outgoing person I was before the anxiety kicked in full force. Bravo! I have found the right mix - finally."

For Insomnia "I have PTSD and have a lot of difficulty with falling asleep, staying asleep. One symptom is not reaching a deep sleep past REM and having nightmares throughout the night, continually waking, panicked. I was prescribed a sleep med that made me somewhat relaxed, or maybe I only slept for four hours and still had nightmares. This went on for months. I was prescribed Clonazepam and it has been a godsend. Not being able to sleep normally had a terrible effect on my daily life. I take it a few hours before bedtime, and when ready, I lay down and sleep soundly, waking the next morning feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. I am able to return to normal activities without fatigue."

For Benzodiazepine Withdrawal "Posted plans to titrate from .175 to .125 x 1 daily clonazapam. I did near the end of January. It’s been ok. Easier than .25 to .175 was. Some mild reactions, worst being brain zaps. That lasted only 2 days. Some spaced feelings in head, but ok. Sleeping well most nights, but taking 300 mg gabapentin. It’s hard to cut these pills smaller. Dr says only 2 weeks at this dose, then alternate nights for 2 weeks, then stop. Nervous, it seems fast. I may cut this .125 in half for a few weeks first. Today is the 2 weeks point. I really want off of this. I advise never start clonazepam, or titrate really slow. Once you adjust to a cut, do not go back up. Slow and steady. I’ve had tremendous stressors during this titration, my sister passed away a few days ago. But I tell myself this: Life stressors will always exist. Nothing is an excuse for increasing these meds. Just feel and keep going. I expect to be free by my birthday March 21."

For Insomnia "I have been taking Klonopin, off and on, as needed for the past 20 years. I suffer from anxiety, mild depression as a result of anxiety, and severe bouts of insomnia from the two. Firstly, I have NEVER experienced any bad withdrawals when I don't take it. I usually go through a handful of episodes a year with this issue, and Klonopin has always pulled me out of it. Once I'm back to feeling normal, I stop taking it (sometimes I wean off, sometimes I don't, just depends). When all is said and done, I applaud those who can go through life without any help, but there are many of us who do for many reasons like diabetes, high blood pressure, migraines, bipolar disorder, etc. So, if there is something out there that can help us live a normal life, then why not."

For Insomnia "I have anxiety and it had been affecting my sleep for years. I was chronically tired and at times would resort to taking drugs I didn't need like tylenol PM and benadryl which left me feeling groggy the following day. I tried melatonin and suffered nausea, nightmares and body aches. Now I take a single .5 mg of clonazepam before bed and sleep through the night. I have no side effects the following day. Sleep is so important for recovery of the mind and body. My anxiety during the day is less and I'm able to focus. I highly recommend this over trying to self medicate with otc sleep aids."
