SCOUR SUSPENSION is a palatable suspension for the treatment of diarrheas (scours) and enteritis when caused by bacteria susceptible to neomycin and succinylsulfathiazole. Atropine sulphate and Hyoscyamine sulfate are included to reduce intestinal hypermotility.

Warning

This medication, like all containing sulfonamides, should be discontinued 10 days before slaughter to allow for elimination of sulfonamides from edible tissues. Do not administer to lactating dairy animals.

This drug, like all containing sulfonamides, may cause toxic reactions and irreparable injury unless administered under adequate and continuous supervision.

If symptoms persist after using this preparation for 2 to 3 days, stop treatment and consult your veterinarian.

Warning

Treated animals must not be slaughtered for use in food for at least 10 days after the latest treatment with this drug.

Each Cc Contains

Neomycin Sulfate

28.6 mg.

Equivalent to

20.0 mg. base

Succinylsulfathiazole

96.0 mg.

Atropine Sulfate

2.5 mcg.

Hyoscyamine Sulfate

2.5 mcg.

Hydrated Tri-Calcium Phosphate

21.0 mg.

Kaolin

175.0 mg.

Pectin

8.0 mg.

Directions

Replace bottle cap with dispenser pump. Each plunger stroke will deliver 1 cc of medication.

Dosage

For baby pigs 1 cc daily up to 2.5 kg body weight. Over 2.5 kg 2 cc daily. If needed, treatment may be repeated for up to 4 days. For dogs, cats and lambs- 2 cc per kg of body weight. Divide into two doses daily. Reduce dose by one-half after two days for not more than 5 days. For calves - 2 cc a day. If needed, treatment may be repeated for 2 to 3 days.
