HAZARDS TO HUMANS AND DOMESTIC ANIMALS

Repel-X Lotion Caution

For use on horses and ponies only. Not for use on humans. Harmful if absorbed through skin or inhaled. Contact with this product may cause transitory tingling sensation. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Avoid breathing vapors. Prolonged or frequently repeated skin contact may cause allergic reactions in some individuals. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco or using the toilet.

USER SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS: Users should wash hands with plenty of soap and water before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco, or using the toilet. Users should remove clothing immediately if pesticide gets inside. Then wash thoroughly and put on clean clothing.

FIRST AID: IF ON SKIN OR CLOTHING: If you suspect a reaction to this product: Discontinue use. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice. IF INHALED: Move person to fresh air. If person is not breathing, call 911 or an ambulance, then give artificial respiration, preferably by mouth-to-mouth, if possible. Call a poison control center or doctor for further treatment advice. IF IN EYES: Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment advice. IF SWALLOWED: Immediately call a poison control center or doctor. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by the poison control center or doctor. Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

In case of medical emergencies or health and safety inquiries, or in case of fire, leaking or damaged containers or for product use information, call 1-800-234-2269. Have the product container or label with you when calling a poison control center or doctor, or going for treatment.

ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS: This product is extremely toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates. Do not apply directly to or near water. Drift and run-off may be hazardous to fish in water adjacent to treated areas. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment, washwater or rinsate. See Directions for Use for additional requirements. This product is highly toxic to bees exposed to direct treatment on blooming crops or weeds. Do not apply this product or allow it to drift to blooming crops or weeds while bees are actively visiting the treatment area.

Directions For Use

It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Do not use on horses or foals intended for slaughter. Do not use on foals under 12 weeks old. Do not allow product to contact animal’s eyes, nose, mouth, or sores during application. Do not apply near eyes and mouth. Apply sparingly around ears. Wash hands with soap and water promptly after use. To protect horses from House Flies, Face Flies, Horse Flies, Stable Flies, Black Flies, Horn Flies, Deer Flies, Lice and Ticks and from biting gnats such as Punkies and No-see-ums: thoroughly brush the horse’s coat prior to application to remove loose dirt and debris. For best results shampoo and rinse; wait until coat is completely dry and apply Farnam® Repel-X® Lotion Fly Repellent for Horses and Ponies. Using protective gloves or mitt, apply a light film of two to four fluid ounces (60-120 ml) over horse’s entire body, or spot treat areas of the horse where flies gather. May be applied around superficial wounds and abrasions. Avoid direct application to eyes, nose and mouth. Repeat application as necessary, but no more often than once every 5 to 7 days. Wash hands with soap and water after use.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL: PESTICIDE STORAGE: Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage or disposal. Store in a cool, dry place inaccessible to children and pets. PESTICIDE DISPOSAL AND CONTAINER HANDLING: Nonrefillable container. Do not reuse or refill this container. If empty: Place in trash or offer for recycling if available. If partly filled: Call your local solid waste agency for disposal instructions. Never place unused product down any indoor or outdoor drain.
