TO ATTRACT AND KILL HOUSE FLIES

WHERE TO APPLY

FOR INDOOR USE ONLY.

For use inside livestock facilities such as broiler houses, feedlots, livestock housing structures, and horse stables.

DO NOT place bait in areas accessible to livestock, pets and children.

Apply QuickBayt Granular Fly Bait in locations where house flies congregate. In caged layer houses, apply only in the walkways. Avoid application in cool locations because house flies prefer warm sites for resting. Avoid application in areas with air movement such as near fans.

When used in areas accessible to birds, bait must be placed in a tamper-resistant bait station that prevents birds from consuming the bait.

WHEN TO APPLY

Time applications to begin at the start of the season before fly populations have reached their peak.

USE RATE

200 g QuickBayt Granular Fly Bait /100 m2

HOW TO APPLY

QuickBayt Granular Fly Bait can be used:

1. Indoor as broadcast application

2. Indoor using bait stations

Indoor broadcast application is to broad expanses of indoor structural surfaces such as floors and crawlspaces.

METHODS OF APPLICATION

INDOOR BROADCAST APPLICATION:

Scatter the bait at a rate of 200 g/100 m2 directly from the container onto dry level surfaces so that the individual granules lie near each other without forming small piles. DO NOT use this method of application in horse stables.

BAIT STATIONS:

Place in tamper-resistant fly bait station. Add 50 g of bait per station. Use 1 bait station to every 25 m2. Secure bait stations at least 1.25 m above the ground. Bait stations should be inaccessible to livestock, children and pets.

Treated baits must be placed in tamper-resistant bait stations OR locations NOT accessible to children, pets, livestock or wildlife.

Tamper-resistant bait stations must:

1. be constructed of high-strength material that is hard for children or animals to destroy;

2. be constructed so that the bait cannot be shaken out;

3. have an entrance which prevents children and non-target animals from reaching bait;

4. have an access panel which fastens securely and locks;

5. be able to be securely fastened to a surface; and

6. be clearly labelled: DANGER POISON.

RESTRICTIONS

Treated baits must be placed in tamper-resistant bait stations OR locations NOT accessible to children, pets, livestock or wildlife.

Do not allow bait to come into contact with food or water, livestock feed or their water.

Do not apply to milking equipment.

Do not apply inside food processing plants, restaurants or other commercial facilities.

RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS

For resistance management, please note that QuickBayt Granular Fly Bait contains a Group 4 insecticide. Any insect population may contain individuals naturally resistant to QuickBayt Granular Fly Bait and other Group 4 insecticides. The resistant individuals may dominate the insect population if this group of insecticides is used repeatedly in the same location. Other resistance mechanisms that are not linked to site of action, but specific for individual chemicals, such as enhanced metabolism, may also exist. Appropriate resistance management strategies should be followed.

To delay insecticide resistance:

● Where possible, rotate the use of QuickBayt Granular Fly Bait or other Group 4 insecticides with different groups that control the same pests.

● Insecticide use should be based on an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program that includes scouting, record keeping, and considers cultural, biological and other chemical control practices.

● Monitor treated pest populations for resistance development.

● Contact your local extension specialist for any additional pesticide resistance-management and/or IPM recommendations for the specific site and pest problems in your area.

For information and to report suspected resistance, contact 2022 Environmental Science CA at 1-888-283-6847 or at https://www.ca.envu.com.
