Ovadine Indications
Ovadine™ is a polyvinylpyrrolidone-iodine complex intended for use in aquaculture as a fish-egg disinfectant for salmonids of the genera Salmo and Onchorhynchus. Ovadine™ is an effective sanitizer for preventing the spread of Aeromonas salmonicida, Chondrococcus columnaris, Cytophaga psychrophila, Renibacterium salmonicida, Vibrio anguillarum, Yersinia ruckeri, Infectious Hematopoietic Necrosis Virus, Infectious Pancreatic Necrosis Virus, Infectious Salmon Anemia Virus and Viral Hemorrhagic Septicemia Virus associated with fish-egg surfaces.Method Of Application
Short-term bath in diluted solution.Directions For Use
Dilute 10ml of Ovadine™ to 1 litre in clean water (100 ppm available iodine). Rinse eggs with a small volume of diluted solution, which should be discarded, before circulating fresh solution around eggs in a 10-minute bath. A volume ratio of 4:1 diluted Ovadine™ solution to eggs is recommended. Flush eggs with clean water after treatment. Do not reuse prepared bath solutions. Do not mix Ovadine™ with other chemicals. Treatment may be repeated as required up to 3 times during the egg incubation period at intervals of 1 day or longer. It is non-toxic to green, fertilized and eyed eggs at the recommended application concentration. Ovadine™ is non-staining and non-corrosive.Warning
Do not use for disinfection of fish eggs intended for human or animal consumption. Do not contaminate food or food handling equipment. Wear protective clothing and use gloves and goggles to prevent skin and eye exposure. If product or diluted solution contaminates eyes, flush well with clean water. If irritation persists, contact a physician. Keep out of reach of children.Ovadine Caution
Egg treatment is not recommended within five days of hatching.Storage
