Directions For Use

LICE-AWAY POUR-ON INSECTICIDE is ready to use. No dilution is necessary. For control of biting lice and horn flies. Apply 15 mL (1/2 fl.oz.) per 45 kg (100 lbs.) of bodyweight up to a maximum of 150 mL (5 fl.oz.) for any one animal. Pour along the back and down the face taking care to avoid the eyes, nose and mouth. Alternatively, LICE-AWAY POUR-ON INSECTICIDE may be applied to the face with a cloth that is slightly moistened with the product. Repeat treatment as needed but not more than once every 2 weeks. For optimum control of lice, two treatments 14 days apart are recommended. Leave a one day interval between last application and slaughter.

Precautions

KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN: For dairy cattle, DO NOT use this product in combination with any other permethrin product. Harmful if swallowed, inhaled, absorbed through skin. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating or smoking. Do not breathe spray mist. Use with adequate ventilation. Wear protective clothing during application. If irritation appears, discontinue use.

Withhold application 24 hrs. before slaughter. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Do not contaminate feed, food, or litter. Do not contaminate food handling equipment. Store in original container away from feed and food. Do not contaminate any body of water. Highly toxic to crabs, fish and shrimp. Harmful to wildlife if allowed to contaminate lakes and streams. Do not use in areas where bee-keeping equipment or supplies are stored, or where milk is stored or processed. This product contains a petroleum distillate at 99% (proportion by weight) which is moderately to highly toxic to aquatic organisms.

Disposal

Do not reuse container. Follow provincial instructions for any required additional cleaning of the container prior to its disposal. Make the empty container unsuitable for further use. Dispose of the container in accordance with provincial requirements. For information on the disposal of unused, unwanted product and the cleanup of spill, contact the Provincial Regulatory Agency or the manufacturer.

FIRST AID: If on skin or clothing: Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes. Call a poison control centre or doctor for treatment advice. If swallowed: Call a poison control centre or doctor immediately for treatment advice. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by a poison control centre or doctor. Do not give any liquid to the person. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

If in eyes: Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye. Call a poison control centre or doctor for treatment advice.

TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION: This product contains petroleum distillates. Vomiting may cause aspiration pneumonia. Treat symptomatically.

NOTICE TO USER: This pest control product is to be used only in accordance with the directions on the label. It is an offence under the Pest Control Products Act to use this product in a way that is inconsistent with the directions on the label. The user assumes the risk to persons or property that arises from any such use of this product.
