LIQUID DISINFECTANT

READ THE LABEL BEFORE USING

GLUQUAT 300 is a glutaraldehyde/quaternary ammonium based product used for the disinfection of hard, non-porous surfaces of hog and poultry housing facilities, livestock trucks and trailers and equipment.

DIRECTION FOR USE

1. Remove all animals and feed. Empty all feeding and watering appliances. Then remove all dirt, manure, debris from floor or surface.

2. Pre-rinse with high pressure water to pre-clean.

3. Clean with an alkaline cleaner (Premise Degreaser)

4. Rinse with high pressure water.

5. Apply GLUQUAT 300 (as directed) to the cleaned surface by a foaming applicator. Use 5 mL of GLUQUAT 300 per litre of water (1:200). Allow a minimum contact time of 10 minutes.

6. Following disinfection, do not house animals/poultry until areas have been ventilated for 4 hours.

FOOD PLANTS: Treated surfaces which may contact meat or other food products must be rinsed thoroughly with potable water. AVOID CONTAMINATION OF FOOD DURING APPLICATION AND STORAGE. DO NOT STORE IN FOOD PROCESSING OR FOOD STORAGE AREAS. STORE IN A COOL, DRY PLACE.

Hazard Statements:

Causes severe skin burns and eye damage. Harmful if swallowed. Toxic if inhaled. May cause respiratory irritation. May cause allergy or asthma symptoms or breathing difficulties if inhaled. May cause an allergic skin reaction.

Precautionary Statements - Prevention

Do not breathe dust/fume/gas/mist/vapors/spray. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Wash face, hands and any exposed skin thoroughly after handling. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection. Contaminated clothing should not be allowed out of the workplace. In case of inadequate ventilation, wear respiratory protection.

Precautionary Statements - Response

IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician. IF ON SKIN (or hair): Remove/Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical advice/attention. IF INHALED: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician. IF SWALLOWED: Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. Immediately call a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician.

Store locked up. Store in a well ventilated place. Keep container tightly closed.

Dispose of contents/container to an approved waste disposal plant according to local, provincial/federal regulations.
