Gentle Iodine 1% Indications

A topical antiseptic for use prior to surgical procedures such as castrating and docking, for application to the navel of newborn animals, and for teat sores, minor cuts, bruises and abrasions.

Gentle Iodine 1% Dosage And Administration

For use as a refill for the 16 oz spray bottle. Hold the container approximately six (6) inches from the area to be treated. Point the valve at the area to be sprayed. Pull the trigger of the valve and spray the area once, lightly. The product may also be applied directly with a swab, if desired. May be treated once a day, if necessary, until the area is healed.

Contraindication(s)

Not for use on burns or in body cavities or deep wounds.

Precaution(s)

Store in a cool place. Do not expose to heat or store at a temperature above 120°F.

Gentle Iodine 1% Caution(s)

Flammable. Do not use near an open flame. Keep out of the reach of children.

In case of deep or puncture wounds or serious burns, consult a veterinarian. If redness, irritation, or swelling persists or increases, discontinue use and consult a veterinarian.

Harmful if swallowed. Do not apply to the eyes, mucous membranes or large areas of abraded skin. Avoid inhaling mist.

Note: When used on or near the teats or udders of dairy animals, the teats and udders should be thoroughly washed before the next milking to prevent the contamination of milk.
