Equine Bluelite Indications

EQUINE BLUELITE® is an oral rehydration electrolyte-vitamin-energy supplement specifically designed to rehydrate horses that have lost substantial amounts of body fluid and electrolytes as a result of profuse sweating frequently seen after exercise and during warm weather.

EQUINE BLUELITE® provides a pH regulating action that helps establish and maintain the proper digestive pH, thereby facilitating the absorption of electrolytes and the utilization of nutrients during digestion. EQUINE BLUELITE® can be used in high performance horses, as well as colts, fillies and horses that are stressed from dehydration resulting from digestive upsets such as diarrhea.

EQUINE BLUELITE® contains a broad spectrum of buffered sequestered-chelated electrolytes, thereby reducing the potential of irritating the mucosa of the inflamed intestinal tract.

EQUINE BLUELITE® provides sources of energy in the form of dextrose, sucrose, lactose and fructose in combination with high levels of vitamins. This combination of electrolytes, energy and vitamins makes EQUINE BLUELITE® a nutrient supplement for the horse during competition, training, and trail rides as well as for continued 10-14 day usage for horses stressed from parasites or marginal nutrition.

Dosage and Administration

Top dress EQUINE BLUELITE® on the feed, or add EQUINE BLUELITE® to the drinking water continuously for 10-15 days for horses enduring extensive physical activity, or when horses sweat profusely as a result of hot weather or training, racing, showing, or to horses that may be debilitated as a result of poor nutrition, internal parasites, and for other stresses that may result in the sudden loss of body weight.

I. Feed Administration:

1. Foals and yearlings: Daily top dress 1-2 oz. of EQUINE BLUELITE® on the grain ration.

2. Working and pleasure horses: Top dress EQUINE BLUELITE® on the grain ration according to the degree of dehydration that occurs as a result of energy expended and the amount of fluid lost as sweat during exercise or work based on the following:

Horse Weight (lbs.)

Daily Amount of EQUINE BLUELITE®

Routine or Mild Physical Activity

Extensive-Endurance Physical Activity

Ponies and horses 300-600

1-2 oz.

2-3 oz.

600-900

3-4 oz.

4-6 oz.

900-1,200

5-6 oz.

6-10 oz.

1,200 and over

7-8 oz.

8-10 oz.

II. Water Administration: Add 1-2 oz. of EQUINE BLUELITE® to each two (2) gallons of drinking water consumed by the horse each day.

Note: Two (2) heaping tablespoonfuls equal approximately 1 oz. of EQUINE BLUELITE®.

Some horses may occasionally refrain from drinking water with sudden changes in taste. In these situations, EQUINE BLUELITE® should be top dressed or mixed in the feed.

Presentation: 5 x 6 lb. (2.72 kg) pails (30 lb. case).
