Elevate Maintenance Powder Indications
Elevate Maintenance Powder is ideal for horses maintained on diets composed largely of processed grains and stored forages. Such foodstuffs usually have low vitamin E content; thus horses require vitamin E supplementation.
Vitamin E status can be determined by measuring serum tocopherol levels. Serum tocopherol levels below 1-2 µg per ml are considered deficient in most animals.
Storage
STORE IN A COOL DRY PLACE. RESEAL LID DURING STORAGE.
Feeding Directions
Feed daily at a rate of 100 IU to 500 IU per 100 lb (200 IU to 1000 IU per 100 kg) of body weight. The feeding level depends on the type of horse, level of activity, and nutritional and management practices that affect vitamin E needs.
Feeding Recommendations
Top-dress onto daily grain ration. Each 7-g scoop delivers 1000 IU of vitamin E.
