● Darkling beetles (Lesser mealworms)

● Ticks

Where to Apply

For use ONLY in the following agricultural buildings and structures: such as dairy barns, poultry houses, swine barns, stables, dog kennels and storage sheds. Treat where pests have been seen or found, or can find shelter.

How to Apply (see Application for Indoor Pests)

Spot Applications

● Spot application is localized to a surface area not more than 0.2 m2. Spots are not to be adjoining. The combined area of spots is not to exceed 10% of the total surface area of a room.

● Use a coarse, low pressure system (do not exceed 345 kPa (50 psi) at nozzle tip) with a fan-type nozzle to uniformly apply spot treatments.

Crack and Crevice:

Crack and crevice is an application directly into narrow openings on the surface of the structure. It does not include the treatment of exposed surfaces. Narrow openings typically occur at expansion joints, utility entry points and along baseboards and mouldings. Spray directly into cracks and crevices where pests or their nests are present. Apply the volume of spray sufficient to cover the area.

When to Apply

DO NOT apply as a space spray, broadcast or indoor perimeter treatment.

DO NOT treat pets.

APPLICATION FOR INDOOR PESTS

Darkling beetles (lesser mealworms)

To kill Darkling beetles (lesser mealworms) in poultry houses, apply after clean-out and before fresh litter is put down. Apply as a spot and/or crack and crevice treatment to areas where these pests normally inhabit. The area around any cracks or openings in the ceiling or walls should be sprayed in addition to the base of walls around plumbing and other utility installations. Do not add fresh litter until at least one day after spraying.

Stable flies, Mosquitoes, House flies, Blue bottle flies, Flesh flies and Cluster flies

Apply directly to walls, ceilings, window screens and other resting areas.

Pet Kennels

To kill ticks and flies, and mosquitoes in and around these structures, apply as a spot and/or crack and crevice spray to the structure where pests have been found or can seek shelter. Optimal control results if facilities to be treated are clean.

Non-Feed or Feed Storage Areas

Examples areas include garbage rooms, entries, machine rooms and feed storage (after packaging, canning or bottling). In such non-food/non-feed or feed storage areas, this product may only be applied as spot treatments or crack & crevice sprays where labelled insects inhabit or may enter the facility.

OUTDOOR PESTS

Use this product to control outdoor pests by application as a broadcast, spot spray or crack and crevice treatment to exterior surfaces of buildings.

● Flies (House flies, Blue bottle flies, Flesh flies, Cluster flies, Stable flies)

● Mosquitoes

● Darkling beetles (Lesser mealworms)

● Ticks

Where to Apply

Apply to surfaces on building exteriors, around door and windows, eaves and attic vents, utility entry points, soffit areas and other exterior openings where pests enter the structure or where they have been seen or found, or can find shelter.

Application Restrictions

DO NOT apply to the point of run-off.

DO NOT make applications during rain.

Application is prohibited directly into sewers or drains, or to any area like a gutter where drainage to sewers, storm drains, water bodies, or aquatic habitat can occur. Do not allow the product to enter any drain during or after application.

Use Rate

0.01% - 2 mL/L

0.03% - 6 mL/L

0.8-2.5 mL of concentrate per 10 square metres

410 mL of diluted product per 10 square metres

How to Apply (see Application for Outdoor Pests)

Apply as a coarse low pressure (DO NOT exceed 345 kPa (50 psi) at nozzle tip) spray. Apply in a sufficient volume of water to provide adequate coverage but do not allow run-off to occur.

When to Apply

When pests are seen or found.

Treatments may be applied as necessary to maintain adequate control.

APPLICATION FOR OUTDOOR PESTS

Darkling beetles (Lesser mealworms)

Apply as a spray to the exterior surface of poultry houses where darkling beetles may seek entry.

Pet Kennels

Apply as a coarse wet spray to the exterior surface of dog kennels where ticks have been found or may seek shelter.

Stable flies, Mosquitoes, House flies, Blue bottle flies, Flesh flies, and Cluster flies

Apply low pressure (do not exceed 345 kPa (50 psi) at nozzle tip) spray to outside of surfaces of buildings and other areas where house flies rest.

Spray siding, eaves, around windows and doors, and window screens. To help reduce infestations, treat cracks and crevices and other indoor winter hiding places.

Cluster flies: Treat in late summer or fall, just before cluster flies begin looking for winter shelter.

Section 7 - Resistance Management Recommendations

For resistance management, please note that Annihilator PolyZone contains a Group 3 insecticide. Any insect population may contain individuals naturally resistant to Annihilator PolyZone and other Group 3 insecticides. The resistant individuals may dominate the insect population if this group of insecticides is used repeatedly in the same location. Other resistance mechanisms that are not linked to site of action, but specific for individual chemicals, such as enhanced metabolism, may also exist. Appropriate resistance management strategies should be followed.

To delay insecticide resistance:

● Where possible, rotate the use of Annihilator PolyZone or other Group 3 insecticides with different groups that control the same pests.

● Insecticide use should be based on an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program that includes scouting and record keeping, and considers cultural, biological and other chemical control practices.

● Monitor treated pest populations for resistance development.

● Contact your local extension specialist for any additional pesticide resistance-management and/or IPM recommendations for the specific site and pest problems in your area.
