Serious side effects of Nurtec ODT

Along with its needed effects, rimegepant (the active ingredient contained in Nurtec ODT) may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.

Gastrointestinal

Common (1% to 10%): Nausea, abdominal pain/dyspepsia[Ref]

General

The most commonly reported adverse reaction with acute use has been nausea; with preventive use, nausea, abdominal pain and dyspepsia have been reported.[Ref]

Genitourinary

Common (1% to 10%): Urinary tract infection

Hypersensitivity

Uncommon (Less than 1%): Hypersensitivity reactions

Hypersensitivity reactions including dyspnea and severe rash occurred in less than 1% of patients. Delayed serious hypersensitivity has occurred.

Respiratory

Common (1% to 10%): Nasopharyngitis, upper respiratory tract infection, sinusitis
