Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction while taking ocular lubricant ophthalmic (the active ingredient contained in Celluvisc) hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Stop using ocular lubricant and call your doctor if you have a serious side effect such as:

  • severe burning, stinging, or eye irritation after using the medication;

  • eye pain; or

  • vision changes.

Less serious side effects of ocular lubricant ophthalmic may include:

  • mild eye burning or irritation;

  • itching or redness of your eyes;

  • watery eyes;

  • blurred vision; or

  • unpleasant taste in your mouth.
