If you think you may be pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using Oxacillin Solution while you are pregnant. Oxacillin Solution is found in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you use Oxacillin Solution, check with your doctor. Discuss any possible risks to your baby.

Oxacillin Pregnancy Warnings

Oxacillin has been assigned to pregnancy category B by the FDA. Animal studies have failed to reveal evidence of fetotoxicity or teratogenicity. There are no controlled data in human pregnancy. Oxacillin should only be given during pregnancy when need has been clearly established.

Oxacillin Lactation Warnings

Oxacillin is excreted into human milk in small amounts. Adverse effects in the nursing infant are unlikely. The manufacturer recommends that caution be used when administering oxacillin to nursing women.
