If you are or will be breast-feeding while you are using Granisetron Solution, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.

Granisetron Pregnancy Warnings

Granisetron has been assigned to pregnancy category B by the FDA. Animal studies using doses up to 146 times the normal human dose failed to reveal evidence of fetal harm. There are no controlled data in human pregnancy; however, data available suggest granisetron use in human pregnancy is not associated with fetal toxicity or teratogenicity. Granisetron is only recommended for use during pregnancy when there are no alternatives and benefit outweighs risk.

Granisetron Lactation Warnings

There are no data on the excretion of granisetron into human milk. However, because of its low molecular, granisetron may likely be excreted into milk. The manufacturer recommends that caution be used when administering granisetron to nursing women.
